Hey so I doubt youll respond to this but I really need some advice, so ive been really wanting to make a youtube channel to post amvs and all that on but I keep getting told that posting wariors content or videos with copyrighted music will get me demonitized so I wanted to know if you could possibly give me a few tips on how you post things like "The mind electric" map without getting into copyright issues. Please I really need soke advice :(
I wouldn’t worry about it at the moment as you need to meet certain requirements to be monetized anyways (sub count, watchtime, etc) however if you’d want to make content that’s monetizeable than yea copyrighted music isn’t the greatest though certain artists will allow a shared deal (RUclips will automatically have you just receive a lesser percentage of money instead of none. However this is only some cases. The content I make using copyrighted music isn’t something I usually plan on monetizing.) The Mind Electric isn’t monetized anyways since I had a multitude of people working on that video and would feel weird making money off of it anyways lol. So for right now I’d just work on building an audience first but honestly don’t worry too much about monetization it’s kind of just a thing that may or may not happen and you make waaay less than you’d think anyways haha. You shouldn’t get in trouble for copyrighted music or at least I haven’t, just can’t make money or much of it off of those videos. If you have any more questions lmk! I’ll do my best to respond 👍
