This was the 1rst season of Tony White's defense and was game #2 so it's hilarious how you keep emphasizing the #11 defense.I wish this game would of been later in the season
I think the best team for Shedeur is actually the Vegas Raiders! They are on the rise , Great staff , Oc is ? But the perfect situation for him , ball wise and branding, plus the fan base will love him and what he brings, talent and off the field.

I’ve watched all the CU games and I know that scheme. It’s frustrating to see the following issues EVERY SINGLE GAME.
1. OL was turning people loose or just getting whipped. The first pressure was Washington skipping over his man to take what should’ve been the free defender. It’s a 0, 1, 2, 3 read from inside out. He had a man over him and took the furthest outside defender. That’s unacceptable and increased as the year went on. He got better and everyone else got worse.
2. Playcalling. They were running field routes into the boundary. That offense specifically has 3 distinct attack zones - Boundary, MOF and Field. The passing game was literally the equivalent of calling a sweep weakside into the boundary. In other words, seeing defense plus numbers and still going at them. It’s absolute nonsense.
3. The option routes and even the called routes are off nearly every play. Some of that I think is trying to get 8-9 guys reps in practice and losing continuity. The other issue is the sloppy route running. The Weaver miss early on was him supposed to be cutting in more squared off on the In, but it looked like he was either running a Dig or a Skinny. Neither is correct and being 3-5 yds off in your route screws up the timing and reads.
4. Run game and Short game. Where’s the hot routes? It’s in their playbook. I didn’t see hardly any until Shurmur was calling plays. The basics like double slant, slant-flat, stick and thunder are all available and mostly the short game was about as advanced as their three play run game.
I’m not knocking the kids, it looks like piss poor coaching to me. There’s a lot of talent on this 2023 squad and the 2024 squad has way more. My frustration is that the 23 squad was handicapped in a lot ways offensively by scheme and lack of talent on the OL, and the defense was handicapped by the inability to adapt to either the talent available or the offensive schemes being faced. Meaning that literally everyone that faced CU could run Shallow and Mesh, and then run off tackle and get positive results 99% of the time. JD was attacking the backfield every play at Arkansas and then dropping into short zones at CU. Why? Inside defenders were allowing free releases and there seemed to not be any safety help for the weaker/younger CB’s who were getting beat on deep balls consistently. Why? If a team was running the ball, CU never got out of that goofy hybrid 3-3-5 that was attempting to mimic a 4-2-5. Teams just kept hitting the bubbles and occasionally a CU defender would make a great individual play to stop the run. But why no adjustments?
Ok I’m off my soapbox. Loving the breakdown videos from people who have a clue about how football actually works. You guys make my week. I thought I was fully retired but y’all awoke the old football coach again. LOL😊. Love the channel men, please don’t change a thing. Have a great weekend.

He won’t be. The Raiders will not be picking in the top 10. Pierce will have them at least to 7 wins. Hoping for 8-9 wins despite not having a true starting QB yet. Shedeur is a top 3-5 pick right now and may be #1 overall if he continues on his projected path.

I don't claim to be an expert but with age comes wisdom at times.😂 Colorado played a great game last season. Just a little reminder Nebraska had Starters out on both sides of the ball because preseason surgeries & injuries week #2 against Colorado. Looks like Nebraska will have the 5 star & 4 star QB freshmen both Elite 11, a veteran duel threat that won their 5 games later in season( got better passing now after getting the Steelers QB coach Rule waited on, never had one last season) plus looks like a walk on Veteran Jayln Gramstad , was player of the year, passed over, 3,000 yrds, won all 21 games 70+ passing completion 41 tds. start right away, can play this season.. I predicted Colorado preseason 4 wins last season some recall on other channels.. Nebraska will beat Colorado this season. Save your money.. 😊

Watching back the video and seeing how poorly we played and yet dominated the scoreboard makes me confident int he rematch this year! The team knows what defense Nebraska is running, Colorado is running a new offense with new personnel! Not going to be easy for Nebraska!

Last year's film isn't an accurate predictor of this year's matchup. Nebraska's turnover machine QB is gone. They'll have a different scheme with Raiola as the likely starting QB, their WR room has added a lot of speed and their RB room is healthy. Their spring game film isn't very helpful because they didn't play any defensive starters.
Nebraska's home field advantage is intense. It will be a radically different atmosphere. They're a 6.5-point favorite for a reason.
