We know that the new version of Around the Oak is quite different from our first demo and can cause some discussion about what version is best. In these two years of recording have been many changes, which are reflected in a new sound. But despite this change, we promise that we have worked hard to release an album with a sound much more rich and varied than our original demo. Therefore, we ask for patience (only a bit more!). Soon a preview and a second video of a completely new song will be released.
Really enjoying this newish sound, took a while at first but really grown on me. Instruments have more depth and scope, and the vocals seem more feral and folky in a sense. Really enjoyed this new sound! Keep up the good work!
I always/instantly loved the original version, but enjoy this one, too, it's a nice rich sound, and [unlike most rerecordings of beloved songs I've heard] none of the tone or mood or quality I enjoyed in the original is lost here. I do miss those clean backing vocals in the chorus of the original, though.
I really love this version the most among them. A pure staple in the Celtic Metal mix

A huge improvement from the original, certainly a much richer sound. You guys are definitely up there with some of my favourite folk metal bands ever! I am very excited about the new album.

I listen to Drakum for the first time, because i read a review of this album in Greek's Metal and Heavy Metal Hammer. This is the first song i listen to and i really like it. The only thing I don't like so much is that there are only unclean vocals. i don't have any problem with the unclean vocals, but I think it would be better with less unclean vocals. But it is only an opinion of a 13 year-old metalhead, so...
in folk i know amorphis that is 50-50(from what i know), alestorm(mostly clean), eluveitie(have some songs with clean - "the call of the mountain" for example),
El único cambio apreciable es que en el coro las voces secundarias no se escuchan tanto como en la otra, lo que hace que se escuche un poco mas death, pero el sonido en general es muchísimo mejor y a mi me gusta esta bastante mas!!
