What a beautiful day, not many tourists yet in May ... it will be quite different in July and August of course. We were hoping to stay in either Brela or Baska Voda for a few days to relax.

Yes in July and August those beaches will be completely packed :) Both places are great, I would say though that Baska Voda does have more stretches of beach. If that is something you are looking for.

Ich war dieses Jahr auch in Kroatien und auch ein paar Mal in Baska Voda am "Strand" wenn man das überhaupt so nennen darf........1. Total überfüllt, man hat kaum Platz um dort zu liegen.... 2 . Eine unverschämte Frechheit was die da für einen Schirm und zwei liegen verlange (zusammen fast 20 EURO) .......3. Das parken direkt am Strand kostet 4 Euro für eine Stunde....man kann zwar weiter weg vom Strand parken in extra ausgelegte Parkplätze aber auch dort kostet es......4. Das Essen an den Bars direkt am Strand ist total überteuert und zum Teil ungenießbar.......und das alles ist nicht nur in Baska Voda so, sondern fast überall an den Ständen in Kroatien.......Fazit: 1 mal da, und nie wieder !!!! Andere Mittelmeerländer wie Griechenland und Italien sind 1000 mal schöner, günstiger und man hat viel mehr von seinem Urlaub als in Kroatien.....hoffe dieser aktuelle Kroatien Hype hat bald ein Ende, denn auf keinen Fall ist es dort besser als in Griechenland, Spanien oder Italien
