Something I did once in my xbox version, was to do the terrain thing then fill it with water using the fresh water outlet, then I put the shoreline barriers, after that you suck the water with the water pump stations. that makes the gaps look 100 times better I think, but its more difficult to put bridges over it too. Its a lot of work but I think it looks really good with a concrete wall by the side of the highway instead of earth walls.
But my outlet didn't flows water in this case... how to use them... please tell the steps... i have started a new city with no building & want to sunken my highway... but the quay requires water & outlet didn't fill my area... even with electricity & pumping station
@@compbuddy5791 first you prepare the area you want the sunken highway, you sunk the terrain, then you put the water outlets in the bottom, just the water outlets else the pumping station will suck all the water that comes out of it. After the water level is alright, you add the shoreline barriers, then you delete the water outlets and place the pumps to suck the water out. After that you’re good to go. My tip is, check if the gap is wide enough for your highway before you start the with the water ;)
On Xbox live Cities group, you'll find my extreme solutions using the console game to create quite complicated transport structures, example motorway, with monorail and rail between the two sides and a bike lane right in the middle of all 3 types running all through the map tightly packed and with railway, monorail stations connecting to those. Highly effective solution in the AI keeping a 300k city at over 90% traffic flow. I had an underground tube running underneath that as well lol. Its on the Cities group in the pictures go back to April where I explain terrain vs road/rail detail levels so you can keep ground and structure perfectly even. Lots of tips, your parking lot idea is excellent. I half used your above road idea back last year but didn't know you could extend that..... 10 out of 10 Thumbs up. Sunken highway, mine starts with a lake, concrete the sides, pump the water out, build the motorway with the concrete sides and hey presto you have a pure underpass motorway.
Nice figured it would be similar to the sunken highway off of sim city 4 in which it is I'm currently working on a 4 lane sunken highway it's a lill tricky but I think I got it lol
Wooooww this is great. . I think you can also make canals that's way..just like in Amsterdam. Is it possible you make a video of that so I can try that. I live near Amsterdam and love to be able to build a Amsterdam like city
I’ve tried my hardest to do this but can’t get the path to finish. Can do it on one side of the highway but there is never enough room on the other side. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?
3:32 the two lane highway and then 2 roads to the left there is the no sidewalk road! What dlc has that road? In on ps4 btw Edit: That road! 3:40 Edit 2: found it!! Its the Mass Transit DLC!! Edit 3: bought it!
@hosatosa Can't think of another possibility to be honest, as I'm not able to send pictures via YT... maybe I will do a video about highways and interchanges, but definetely not in the near future :/... However, you might be able to see one side of the connection in the next video.
I love these types of videos because as a console player I like to have some aspects of detail in my cities and your tutorials help me to that
Great work mate. Will definitely try it too!
Sunken road is cool, but that's an aweful lot of work.

@@compbuddy5791 put the pumping stations only after you placed the quay. If you put them before they’ll suck the water from the outlets

I make most of my highway, railroad and normal road sunken accidentally, when I terraformed zoned area. Sometimes they raised up.
Wow. Nice build. PC player here. At first glance, it looked like you used mods. Wellplayed
Very good video bro
If you have any more useful techniques on building realistic skylines using zoning or making parks then that would be amazing
I will consider this in future projects :)

Cool tips. By the way, I wonder how to to change the camera layout? Like you do while popping the car.
You mean the look of the cars? You can adjust that with the directional buttons on the ps4.
Commander Kobe Yes, but how to show the navigation to change the camera? What button you pressed?
Oh nevermind. Found it. It turns out that I need to press the touchbar first then press R3. I just knew that we can change the camera
Pls...show some more of your city!!
New videos will follow!

Level the terrain on the side that works so that they’re both at the same height. Or just start from scratch again and see what happens
Highway entrance? Exits?
Damien Carreras I’m wondering the same!
how did you get those other highway options??? I don't have those

I will do a tutorial for that:)

Yes
I tried this for 3 hours. Last step with the bridge just doesn't work for me i give up.
My whole cities highway is underground to save room. This is so much nicer tho

How do you connect the sunken highway to the road
Sorry for the late reply. If you're still interested, I can send you some pictures via instagram, if you like.
