They call upon their ancestors that’s why they so serious when they perform, it’s like they can feel the spirit when these occasions happen
It’s all for our ancestors❤️
Nothing but love and respect for our Indigenous brothers and sisters. Always was, always will be Indigenous lands!!!!
That was the first time the aboriginal war cry was performed since 1952
Omg that’s so amazing I’m Aboriginal cuzz
why the long time gap?
@@laurencesnee8362 it wasn't allowed by the elders and there was no need for it
They don't allow the spears anymore, because this one went close to boiling over, so much pride and passion from both sides
Welcome to the real Australia😉 respect to the Maori Brothers
Straight up! I grew up with Aboriginal friends in primary school and we had many Aboriginal cultural events so this is the Australia I was exposed to very very young ❤️❤️
Bless you
Lol
Nothing but love for our Indigenous brothers and sisters. Makes us so proud that you war cry is up to haka standards and sets off such a good healthy battle between us. Regardless we love you and root for both teams every year. Always was and always will be Indigenous lands!! Xoxo
@@willyboy1752 Willy indeed
@@joegen7411 much love ❤ from a maori well said
Should watch Maori All stars Haka Vs Indigenous All stars 2019 !
In the past it's a preparation for war. It's common in all Pacific island. It also has ancestor spirits behind it as well.
This was played 11 yrs ago was a build up game before Australia vs New Zealand if i remember right Aboriginal won this game from that point on they been playing each other on a regular basis last game they played last yr was won by maori
The crowd was small because it wasn't a big game, but what a performance
Was it happening during CoVID?

One Luv From Australia Too Our Black Brothahs N Sister's In NZ One Love My Indigenous Famz💯 Cairns city Southsea🇻🇺
The sticks! I can’t remember the name of them but damn i remember playing those in primary school music class, I always had to use them super softly or it would blow your eardrums off inside the music classroom, now I understand why they’re like that, amazing instruments
Mad video as usual 👏🏾
So basically what ever culture maori, tonga, samoa, fiji, cook island and the indigenous people of Australia all have a war cry (haka). In the old days new zealand vs tonga or new zealand vs samoa they will both go head to head with there haka at the same time which personally i prefer brings more hype. But these days im not a hundy percent on this but now they perform the haka one at a time to show respect towards each other thats what i think anyways. New Zealand has heaps of haka's bro there all different, represents heaps of different things like maori tribes they all have there own unique haka i dont know many tribes there are but theres heaps, and the schools representing your school with there haka and sporting teams. Thats mostly new zealand itself other cultures different. Good reaction bro hope you reach your goal with subs
The Indigenous Australian one was made up
@@meh...9500
Yes because there are soo many indigenous ethnic groups in Australia (like between 300-500 I think) who all speak different languages, with different cultures. For the Maōri they are in different tribes across NZ but all have the same culture and speak the same language.
Many indigenous cultures have a type of indigenous war cry and war dance, it's very common in various Polynesian islands... all the war cries represent a culture and nonetheless all the actions and moves the Indigenous side were doing (Indigenous because both Aboriginal -Main land natives and Torres Strait Islanders - Natives from islands around QLD are classified as indigenous) are very traditional.
Man you make me laugh out loud lol!!
I’m an aboriginal Australian 🪃
Absolutely beautiful
Why does he call it the Haka video seems like it should be called the Indigenous Video as it is both Indigenous teams showing their Haka & Corroboree
Una Sister
The spears were too close for a game and beautiful at the same time, but much RESPECT to Maori for accepting the challenge in a sports uniform.... Much ALOFA 🇼🇸
My brother we not enemies cuzz we are people of pride from both sides and you too brother

2007 rugby league world cup Indigenous Australian vs New Zealand Maori just before Australia vs New Zealand match Indigenous Australian won the match 36 to 28
We are caNIBALS BRUH
Aboriginals and Maoris are very impressive considering they were a Stone Age people.
We all stone age people's 😉
But they were stone aged until European people “enlightened” them.
@@willyboy1752 that's what they called us but not what we were.
@@seren9613 who? What? Huh?
We were more like people who lived among the land and respected it, not those who exploite it for personal gain and took more than we needed
The First one is the New Zealanders

You the viewer can also feel the haka
can someone fix that dudes voicecrack
@6:40 DEAD 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeah I reckon too funny
The pukana face is supposed to look either intimidating or disturbingly insane. It only matters that you give the impression that you are the type of person to enjoy chewing someone’s face off while they are still alive and screaming.
As a Māori, I get slightly offended when I hear people pronounce Māori as May-ori or Marry. It's purely laziness not to learn the correct pronunciation for an ethnic and for those that exist in the same country can be seen as ignorant, borderline racial ignorance.
yeah aye. if you cant pronounce it, don't butcher it
Is there anyway you can spell it out on here to help people with pronunciation bruz.
The person he said was huge is my uncle
Prepare for war👹🤣
I'm from both Maori and aboriginal decent and id be more worried about the abbos they used to eat ppl maoris did but rearly
Are you even Mãori lmao we ate people to not rarely we ate other tribes and of course the Pakeha(White people)💀
It’s not a competition
@@marinawarren7616 pay no mind my brother you we know your history very well and got deep respect for you… you already know
Kia ora Sean, I see you checking out a lot of Maori content which is freekin great bro, do me a favor and I'll smack you with an abundance of likes and definitely a sub my bro, next NZ vid you review whether its Maori, Haka, The kiwis, All Blacks anything to do with New Zealand, i challenge you to open your vid with Kia Ora Whanau, means hello/hi family, how to pronounce - kia ora faa no, so if you can start with kia ora faa no then I'm subbed for life my bro and ill tell all my Maori mates and whanau to watch, let's go bro
The protruding of their tongue is a form of distraction where the enemy will focus on their protruding tongue and demand a reaction of what it done to you by laughing but if you were confronted in the same scenario you would lose your life at the flick of their weapon... just saying
Say Māori like your saying mouldy without the d sound
Therees players are no longer there it is there ancestors ready to kill. trust me i hear there cry too
U need to watch the all blacks haka I reckon they do it better then they do in the nrl
Hey mate. As a NZer we're proud of our boys and girls and the haka's they perform! Check out this link for the Maori vs Aboriginal All Stars opening, is one of the greats for sure!

Bro moaris don't play soccer bro my bro what you talking about bro show as some nfl hit bro
Bro. You're american, right? You should go to learned about the native indians in US where you are, & their cultures.
Their are similar to Maori (NZ) & Aboriginals (OZ). You probably don't know anything.
Don't make profits from a culture, and not educate yourself how to correctly pronounce basic words, practice more, it's not right, I've seen people correct you in the comments. New Zealand Maori. BLM! You are watching Australian coverage and the subsequent incorrect pronunciation. Plenty of knowledgeable voices, if you have any respect. Our cultural traditions are more then a spectacle to be laughed at by the ignorant. U should visit both countries.
I appreciate your interest and appreciation. Keep TRYING, I enjoy Ur appreciation
I know this is an old video but don’t ever call someone’s culture a mascot g straight up
