1986 Porsche 944 sunroof motor and track maintenance

In this video I show some tips I learned by doing it the wrong way first. The early model Sunroof design has a drive cable running down the "C" piller from the roof to a motor/gearbox and track. Over time the grease drys out and problems start. I unriveted track from the plastic block that guides the drive cable and holds it onto the gear on the back of the gearbox. Then I removed the mounts for the gearbox to the body. Once its loose you take a phillips screwdriver and remove the 3 screws from the top of the plastic block. Two more screws and bolts hold the block onto the gear box.Contact me with any questions at [e-mail]

brings back good memories when I was making money off them, mysterious problem that I had to fix sunroof opens while you drive problem solution micro switch loose bolts left hand side rear quarter panel in the end of the sunroof mechanism to 5 millimeter bolts

my works but is like very slow and it will stop and not work anymore? them after fells day will work again slow and stop? I m going to open up to see whats to clean or what else is wrong.
