To be fair, as someone who hops on a few hours a day. Doing a helltide and getting little to no cinders on top of the chest increasing to 250 was pretty demoralizing.

I havent played D4 much yet, but if they nerfed how good builds are, I think that's fine. I don't want scaling like in Diablo 3, seeing people already critting up to 10 million. Now if the nerfs made stuff slower to do outside of nightmare dungeons that could be annoying. Say bounties in D3 would be slower if X got nerfed. I think its good if we avoid multi-trillion numbers.
Blizzard's game plan: make decisions based upon the highest performing players, and chase the rest of us away. It started with Cataclysm, and the numbers reflect that quite effectively.

you know, there’s also another bug since the patch I have an extremely hard time putting new skills on my bar when I swap out skills on the tree. So a couple times I basically just had to wipe the whole build and redo the whole tree over again just to get the skill point to drop automatically on the bar. As a necro coming from sorc. I hate the fact I lost my millions of damage because I was trying to push high tier nightmare dungeons and barley being able to kill anything. Our high damage only works if we can kill the enemy. If we dont one shot we lost 90% of our damage. (not exaggerating)
I just want more end game build variety. Not every build has to be a meta build but damn there's some lacking abilities. Why even waste time to design them to begin with?
They'll be keeping them unviable for a while so they can bring in uniques/new aspects down the line to increasde build variety without having to implement new skills. They did that on purpose 100%.
I know exactly why they slowed it down so much - they got scared that people were beating their game way too quick and their player retention would fall exponentially within 2 months. They thought they could slow that spill.
So glad we all payed 70-100 dollars so that we could do quality assurance testing for Blizzard to fix their scaling for 5 months until they can make it good lol.
I will say I personally don't think the nerfs to vulnerable and such were good without seriously compensating the classes that almost rely on them. Mainly because my sorcerer went from dealing a few million damage every now and then to barely hitting for 400k against stunned, frozen, immobilized, vulnerable, dazed, chilled, slowed enemies with a overpower critical hit when that would have probably been the highest amount of damage I would have hit pre-patch and it feels horrible. Not to mention with the Defense nerfs I now get oneshot by EVERYTHING in NM 50+ when before I would only really get oneshot by the cheesy corpse bow, Bear, bloated dudes, and such but now I can have on both my flame and ice shields with my damage reduction from my teleport and wouldn't be surprised if I get oneshot by a basic ghoul because it seems like everything oneshots me now.
Maybe on reset they feel alittle better but i just wanna see buff to other skills rather than nerfing everything in the game cause three builds abuse it.
I agree CDR nerfs feels so damn bad. Now we just have to wait around for our skills even more. Absolutely insane mind set. It makes the stat even more important.
My barbarian comes crashing from half way across the screen, flails around his sword, does a quick swipe, a spin , then a double slash, only to watch the hoard of monsters look at you like you hit them with a pool noodle. As an ultra causal player, yeah, trust me, I noticed the update.
I don't know if it's my skill issue or its a cheesy thing but those bull/boars (whatever they are) often insta kill me without doing any attack animation, sometimes I've just clipped the cheek hit box or got near its face and boom, dead
I got 1 shot 5 times in a row by the big demon guys with the huge axe. There was 2 together and No matter what I did they would get me out the blue …..wham…..dead.
I reached lvl 100 just before the patch and wanted to beat uber Lillith on the last day before season 1. The nerf hit so hard I gave it one try and just promptly hit alft+f4.
@@xD-yc8hkpeople keep saying that, but rogue totally got hit too. My friends rogue deals about half as much damage now 🤣. Rogues still good, but the nerfs hurt basically everyone.
Taking in consideration they have said that seasonal mechanics will not be introduced to the game by default. Once the season ends, you will endup again with 1 arm!!
keep in mind they stated that they have a right to take season content away at the end of a season and it will not be accessible on eternal relm. players will be able to keep it after season end. but how are they going to socket it when there no npc to socket it in the eternal relm once season 1 ends
And every season you will lose a different appendage, so you will always have to farm your gear from scratch to be competitive in the new season. Well I didn't plan to level a character every season anyway, that sounds boring as hell. And with the new nerfs to XP and damage/survivability we have even more reasons to stop playing
For the last thing he mentions in the video. If you want to feel as fast as rogue but on Sorc, get Esu's Heirloom boots unique. Its intended for lightning builds but any build can use it. Best in slot I believe.
@miceatah9359 Of course you can get better gear, levels in upgrades in from games but skill surely matters. That's why the top players can beat the games without getting hit and most people come nowhere close to that. What the hell are you talking about kid?
I haven't played for like 2 weeks, I beat the capstone on wt3 and have access to wt4, but I struggle hard there, so I went back to wt3 where im bored of nightmare dungeon running over and over without getting a single upgrade in several hours, was planning on coming back for the season but im not even excited for it.
If Blizzard has been aiming for the power fantasy, kill everything people, they should buff, not nerf, and produce more and more powerful content, rather than nerfing hardly and making people feel weak.
Absolutely agree.. It's like they made a ladder and then were surprised that people got to the top too quickly, so they removed rungs and leant it backwards to make it harder to climb rather than - you know - just extending it another tier.
I bought the ultimate edition thinking I'd easily get 3 months worth of playtime. Now I feel obligated to complete the campaign and seasonal stuff just to get my money's worth...
Blizz: Ah sh*t players have got to the end of the content without needing seasonal power creep. Hit the brakes quick!! or we'll be forced to make content.
as level 100 sorcerer, i was able to do NM 60 before patch but after that I'm just struggling with Tier40 i mean not just damage wise but also survivability, just stunned tier 40 boss 5 times and got one shotted anyways
You saying that reminded me of seeing excessive profanity streaming on twitch, he has an execution system in place with a little animation and everything lmao. I donno if he still does or not but it was funny last time I saw it
same... I took like a week and a half off after getting two characters to 100 and decently geared, was planning on coming back for season... and just nah... not coming back till season 2 unless they change a bunch of shit
as far as the barbarian Nerf, I’m pretty sure he was talking about the nerve to hammer of the ancients AOE damage causing more damage than expected around the edges or something like that.
They really sat in their office, checked yt for why we need to balance the game, find these guys, patched it, and then gave the most shitty patch of the century and still managed to fail to 'hit' those guys they saw on YT. Great work Blizzard.
DM hit the nail on the head with that last point, i am playing a Monk, and the tempest rush build in s28 d3; (yes hate on that game haha), but its fun because its fast... i have no spirit regen problem, hold down one mouse button which does never ending tempest rush and move at same time. and even at solo gr120, sure i have to run over some mobs a couple of times, but most explode on first pass, but its fun.. it feels fluid. i feel like i am playing a gameboy game in d4, click, wait, click, waiting, move, waiting, click wait... not fun!
If you don't play the season, you are not gonna pay for the battle pass. Blizzard basically tells you to get out of their servers if you don't want to pay.
Just food for thought. Something I thought of since Teleporting out of Dungeon waiting 5 seconds now…….it’s so you can see the cool portal effect……so they can add MTX for it. So plan on seeing that I’m sure. 🎉
they extended the portal timer because people were leaving too quickly and not getting credit for completing the dungeon. I don't think the devs know how to fix it properly.
I just want to log in, clear a dungeon or two usually by myself and log out. Just like I did in D1 and 2. And kind of 3. No interest in playing an mmo-lite that's trying to sell me shit on top of the $80 bucks I already paid...
im gonna give diablo 4 a chance and play through it at least once, maybe just run through all characters once. mostly just because i want to get the story but also coz I'm curious about what my own experience might be
My whole build depended on making all enemies vulnerable. Just because someone doesn't like a stat doesn't mean it's cool to to nerf it for those who do.

I got one shot through my full barrier by the boar's thorns damage when I teleported to it with my sorc. Not even the charge! Felt great.
"can i play sorc mr blizzard"
blizzard whispers close "no"
“great editing, incredible, wow”

but what mobs? theres barely any
For real! It almost makes me want to go back to diablo 3 just so I can blow mobs away again.

Artificially prolonging the end game level grind through nerfs isn't a meaningful substitute for actual end game content. They aren't fooling anyone.
I just want more end game build variety. Not every build has to be a meta build but damn there's some lacking abilities. Why even waste time to design them to begin with?
Wanted to play Necro on release. Found out summoner builds are shit... For the summoner class. Ridiculous balancing honestly
But they did end the game
They'll be keeping them unviable for a while so they can bring in uniques/new aspects down the line to increasde build variety without having to implement new skills. They did that on purpose 100%.
As soon as I realized firewall sorc didn’t stand a chance because it wasn’t “meta” was when they lost me
Its the same people that made WoW, where theres only 1 viable meta build for most classes and specs
*flashbacks to anthem* a game being better later doesn't matter, if there are no players left to play later
I got bored of needing so many millions of gold to upgrade an item as the end game
Crazy how halls of torment gave us a better Diablo vibe than Diablo 4 gave us. 😂

@@ultracookienite5857???
I know exactly why they slowed it down so much - they got scared that people were beating their game way too quick and their player retention would fall exponentially within 2 months. They thought they could slow that spill.
Instead they just started pushing people off that cliff faster.
“Barbs are dying out here!” That fucking killed me😂😂😂😂😂 you’re not lying bro
So glad we all payed 70-100 dollars so that we could do quality assurance testing for Blizzard to fix their scaling for 5 months until they can make it good lol.
Blizzard has once again fallen into the trap of balancing a game around a small percentage of players, chasing away the casuals.
And the 0.001% that destroyed Lilith before patch are still doing so now, so it only affects the rest of the players anyway
Why are they trying to balance what basically boils down to a single player game as if it's a competitive one?
“I don’t know if you’ve never been outside da house.” LMAO
You can't finetune an engine if you're missing half the pistons.
Cope. It won't feel better on reset lmao

I agree CDR nerfs feels so damn bad. Now we just have to wait around for our skills even more. Absolutely insane mind set. It makes the stat even more important.
imagine a time when you got paid to beta test, now you pay to do the beta testing.
Makes a person go crazy
My barbarian comes crashing from half way across the screen, flails around his sword, does a quick swipe, a spin , then a double slash, only to watch the hoard of monsters look at you like you hit them with a pool noodle. As an ultra causal player, yeah, trust me, I noticed the update.
Remember though they can't do a gem tab or more stash tabs for 3 more months
I think because its not pay to win...its suffer and suffer and suffer.. to win? nooo to suffer more. -_-
I don't know if it's my skill issue or its a cheesy thing but those bull/boars (whatever they are) often insta kill me without doing any attack animation, sometimes I've just clipped the cheek hit box or got near its face and boom, dead
Happens to me all the time. I use raiment tele onto some tusked chargers and instead of them being instantly stunned they one shot me.
Less speed = less action = less loot = less dopamine = less fun
:(
play d3 or poe better games than d4
I got 1 shot 5 times in a row by the big demon guys with the huge axe. There was 2 together and No matter what I did they would get me out the blue …..wham…..dead.
I reached lvl 100 just before the patch and wanted to beat uber Lillith on the last day before season 1. The nerf hit so hard I gave it one try and just promptly hit alft+f4.
What class are you playing? I was able to still down her post patch on the rogue.
@@Burgundy069rogue dodged nerfs
@@xD-yc8hkpeople keep saying that, but rogue totally got hit too. My friends rogue deals about half as much damage now 🤣. Rogues still good, but the nerfs hurt basically everyone.

Cries in Sorcerer lol when he's talking about Barbs hurting
Taking in consideration they have said that seasonal mechanics will not be introduced to the game by default. Once the season ends, you will endup again with 1 arm!!
And it means that the gimmicks of season 2 need to follow the power level of the season 1 gimmick to keep the balance, making for lame content.
keep in mind they stated that they have a right to take season content away at the end of a season and it will not be accessible on eternal relm. players will be able to keep it after season end. but how are they going to socket it when there no npc to socket it in the eternal relm once season 1 ends
And every season you will lose a different appendage, so you will always have to farm your gear from scratch to be competitive in the new season.
Well I didn't plan to level a character every season anyway, that sounds boring as hell. And with the new nerfs to XP and damage/survivability we have even more reasons to stop playing
@@aristocraticcthulhu3831 They'll just "rebalance" again for Season 2 mechanics.
For the last thing he mentions in the video. If you want to feel as fast as rogue but on Sorc, get Esu's Heirloom boots unique.
Its intended for lightning builds but any build can use it. Best in slot I believe.
If From Software released a Diablo style game, player skill would actually matter.
The Uber boss would be the camera
@miceatah9359Why that's just about the dumbest thing I've seen all year
@miceatah9359 Of course you can get better gear, levels in upgrades in from games but skill surely matters. That's why the top players can beat the games without getting hit and most people come nowhere close to that. What the hell are you talking about kid?
The final nail for me was the cooldown changes...
I could have lived with the rest.
I haven't played for like 2 weeks, I beat the capstone on wt3 and have access to wt4, but I struggle hard there, so I went back to wt3 where im bored of nightmare dungeon running over and over without getting a single upgrade in several hours, was planning on coming back for the season but im not even excited for it.
powerleveling unlike the boost only people with the needed support or paying someone can do. thats the diffrence and a fair balancing imho.
If Blizzard has been aiming for the power fantasy, kill everything people, they should buff, not nerf, and produce more and more powerful content, rather than nerfing hardly and making people feel weak.
“It’s just not in our plans anymore” - Activision Blizzard
Absolutely agree.. It's like they made a ladder and then were surprised that people got to the top too quickly, so they removed rungs and leant it backwards to make it harder to climb rather than - you know - just extending it another tier.
Aren't you thankful?
I thought it was about seasonal content. Not about end game though.......
There’s battle pass armor?
I bought the ultimate edition thinking I'd easily get 3 months worth of playtime. Now I feel obligated to complete the campaign and seasonal stuff just to get my money's worth...
the points he makes are spot on
Blizzard made the stick longer and the carrot smaller
Getting ready to sleep but new Asmongold video drops I am awake now
Every studio should have playtest days where everyone on the team just plays the game rules as written.
These live bans are like a severely watered down version of public executions lol I love it!

@@Buhllake He does still, and they are always funny.
Blizzard just reminding us why POE exists everyday.
Sometimes i'm angry when GGG nerf some builds and make bad leagues but when I see D4 i'm happy to play to Poe 👌
Can’t wait for baldurs gate 3 to release next month so I can be done with d4
same... I took like a week and a half off after getting two characters to 100 and decently geared, was planning on coming back for season... and just nah... not coming back till season 2 unless they change a bunch of shit
Why not be done with it now?
as far as the barbarian Nerf, I’m pretty sure he was talking about the nerve to hammer of the ancients AOE damage causing more damage than expected around the edges or something like that.
I guess you could say, “it’s hell”
My man looks like he had more than one beer with that burger 😂
LETS NERF EVERYTHING BECAUSE 5 RUclipsRS HAD BUILDS THAT DID TONS OF DAMAGE.
fucking exactly man. But then again it's not their problem. It's still on dev´s side because they fucked up
And even then those same people were still killing things with ease
They really sat in their office, checked yt for why we need to balance the game, find these guys, patched it, and then gave the most shitty patch of the century and still managed to fail to 'hit' those guys they saw on YT. Great work Blizzard.
i wish i could timetravel back to the times of wc3, d2, wow vanilla, counterstrike 1.5 / 1.6, unreal tournament and quake 3
DM hit the nail on the head with that last point, i am playing a Monk, and the tempest rush build in s28 d3; (yes hate on that game haha), but its fun because its fast... i have no spirit regen problem, hold down one mouse button which does never ending tempest rush and move at same time. and even at solo gr120, sure i have to run over some mobs a couple of times, but most explode on first pass, but its fun.. it feels fluid. i feel like i am playing a gameboy game in d4, click, wait, click, waiting, move, waiting, click wait... not fun!
D2 andys killed d4 they made blizzard think that D2 gameplay was the way to go
I love these editors
If you don't play the season, you are not gonna pay for the battle pass. Blizzard basically tells you to get out of their servers if you don't want to pay.
Unfortunately we already bought the battlepass in the preorder... Maddening
Just food for thought. Something I thought of since Teleporting out of Dungeon waiting 5 seconds now…….it’s so you can see the cool portal effect……so they can add MTX for it. So plan on seeing that I’m sure. 🎉
Love the content and love your takes. Thanks for these videos, you too DM 👍
I just want to say: preach to the editors! Loge their humor!
they extended the portal timer because people were leaving too quickly and not getting credit for completing the dungeon. I don't think the devs know how to fix it properly.
Makes me wonder if they even developed the game or some other team if such small things are so difficult to fix...
"Made me leave the house" level bad
and we still don't have more storage space
“I have fun leveling idk”
I nearly had an aneurysm when I read that. Don’t worry guys its a great game cause you get to level!!!
Its a 6 outa 10. Nothing more nothing less. All of my friends have left D4 and went back to thier other games.
Blizzard likes making problems and selling a solution to fix it.
I just want to log in, clear a dungeon or two usually by myself and log out. Just like I did in D1 and 2. And kind of 3. No interest in playing an mmo-lite that's trying to sell me shit on top of the $80 bucks I already paid...
love watching the back and forth between the two of you
im gonna give diablo 4 a chance and play through it at least once, maybe just run through all characters once. mostly just because i want to get the story but also coz I'm curious about what my own experience might be
My whole build depended on making all enemies vulnerable.
Just because someone doesn't like a stat doesn't mean it's cool to to nerf it for those who do.
