    TODAY'S RECIPE
    4-5 Lamb Shoulder Chops
    OLIVE OIL DRESSING:
    1/4 Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 tablespoons fresh oregano (use much less if using dried herbs)
    1 teaspoon minced garlic
In a bowl, mix together olive oil,
In a charcoal chimney, light approx 20-25 charcoal briquettes. This will be enough to give moderate heat for searing the lamb.
While the charcoal is lighting, season the shoulder chops with salt and pepper and any other herbs or spices that you like.
Setup your Weber Kettle for two-zone cooking. Once the charcoal is lit, place them in a charcoal basket or bank to one side of the grill. You will want to spread the hot charcoal out to create a good surface area to sear.
Place the chops direct over the charcoal and grill, turning every couple minutes or so. Continue to grill over direct heat until the chops are done to your liking. Move the cooked chops to the other side of the grill to hold until the rest are done.
When all the chops are done, drizzle with olive oil dressing and serve immediately.
Enjoy with a fine red wine!

Hi Zak, I hope the lamb chops works out for you! I haven't had much lamb, these shoulder chops were the first time I cooked lamb on my Weber. I'd love to know how yours turned out for you. Thanks for coming by!

Barlow BBQ no problem i cooked them close to the way you did yours except i used a gas grill instead of a charcoal grill i have one but i was being lazy lastnight..but i was actually impressed lamb is deffinetly one of my favorites now..and thank you for making this video it was a big help as to what to use to spice it up..l even copied your red potatoes except i added my own little twist and put some fresh onions, garlic cloves, olive oil, and a few other spices..it was very good..i don't know what the difference is but potatoes on the grill are much better than In the oven..thank you

Hey Zak, that's awesome man - thanks so much for letting me know how things turned out. Sounds like it was really good. I need to make some lamb again, I don't think I have since we filmed this video lol. So nice to hear that this video helped you out - that's why we do what we do, so you're comment is really inspiring! The potatoes you made sound delicious, and it's great that you added your own twist. And you're exactly right, potatoes taste so much better cooked on the grill - something about that live fire that adds to the flavor that is hard to beat. Hope you have a wonderful weekend, cheers!

The Brittons good point - I normally put the starter underneath my chimney, but since I only needed to light a small amount of charcoal, I flipped the chimney upside down and nestled the starter in with the charcoal so it would get a better start. 😉 Appreciate you coming by and thanks for watching! ✌️✌️

Sadly we don't have a charcoal grill. Any advice on how to do it with a gas grill?

    • @BarlowBBQ
      @BarlowBBQ  5 лет назад +1

Gas or charcoal - the principal is the same! Just grill them over medium to high heat until they are cooked to your liking. 👍😁
