"Memorable" is the third time Band-Maid have written a love song to their fans. Previously there was "Smile" and "About Us". "Smile" is about being onstage watching the fans being happy which makes them happy. "About Us" has it's own MV and I recommend checking it out, it's about not being able to play live (covid) and missing their fans. whereas "Memorable" is about the love they felt from the fans during their US tour. They actually have quite a few slower songs, one of my favourites being "Page".
This song was written by the Ladies on their tour bus during their recent US Tour. All of the Ladies were rather apprehensive since it had been over 3 years since they had toured the US, and they were worried that the fans wouldn't show up. Parts of the lyrics are about how nervous they were when they took the stage until they felt the love from the audience. That was when they knew they were missed. Our love of them, lifted them up and they give us back love through music like this.
@@bigbrutalbassbeer410 It's true but then i check how empty my wallet is & i feel i've done my bit to give back. My blurb on Memorable, for what it's worth. I think to fully appreciate this song, it helps to have been a maidiac for a while, and see, starting with the 2020 cancellation of what would have been the band's biggest show ever, how the diehard maidiacs, combined with the huge work ethic of the band, managed to keep their momentum up during a time where other bands would have had to just fold up the shop and call it quits. These ladies have worked their rear ends off not just to make incredible music, but to connect with their fans at every possible turn. Every other song has a sing along part - there's Miku's magic time in the shows, and even the fact that they didn't try to police reaction videos - in fact, they wisely welcomed them as they realized the value of spreading the word about the band. There is the uplifting, smile inducing and inspirational nature of their music and lyrics, which kept many of our spirits up during a really crap couple of years. Then there is their humility. More than once during interviews band members have said that they won't quite believe their shows sold out until they see us in person - will we really come, they wondered...and then they came. And they were hit by a massive tsunami of love at every single show. I am in my sixties and have been to a ton of concerts, and have never witnessed this level of back and forth emotion during a show. i've said elsewhere that when I put my earplugs in at their show, it was because of how loud the cheering from the crowd was, and I've never experienced that before. This must have been overwhelming to them as they played for us,. I've been on stage playing in front of people before, and there's a high you get when things go well that you just can't get with anything else. This song is their message back to us that yes, they felt it all - big time. And that they love us back
Warning is a great song, but I want to talk about Memorable. It's Miku & Saki's way of saying thank you to all the fans who came to see them on their U.S. tour, specifically the positive energy & Love ❤️ 🎙🎸🥁😎🤘 and of course, music by Kanami.

Holy buckets, thanks for the Warning reaction. They have so many great songs that it’s impossible to fully wrap my head around. I almost forgot about Warning! 🤟
The other song in a similar vein is About Us , but yes there are quite a few other softer songs too, Page, At The Drop Of a Hat and Wonderland for example , plus Saiki says that Awkward and Anemone are ballads too so it must be so. Puzzle and Anemone acoustic should also get a mention if you can find them, the most emotional performance so far from Saiki with brilliant accompaniment and backing vocals by Kanami
Band-Maid writes a ton of hard rocking songs like 'Warning' and they're all unique, creative, beautifully written and performed, and utilize all their talents. And we love Band-Maid for that reason: they give us their best every time. It's not unusual for Maidiacs to say "I have a new favorite song" after they hear any Band-Maid song. Band-maid will occasionally write a love song and by 'occasionally' I say this in both senses: both rare and for a specific occasion. 'Memorable' was written in appreciation for the overwhelming support their fans displayed during the US tour. They débuted the song during the Tokyo Garden Theater Okyu-ji. They posted that the Tokyo garden theater show is up for pre sale on Blu-ray plus a behind the scenes usa tour disk too which is sweet because that show was their best so far.
🔥🔥🔥Boom! Singed Hair for Akane (Not CGI/FE), at least it was first time that they got warm that day! 🤣 The new song is a tribute to the fans who supported the American tour and the Fanbase's dedication over the last ten years. Miku's about 70 miles from LA here
If Band-Maid isn't ripping your face off (Rinne, No God, Warning), they're soothing your soul (Manners, Daydreaming, Memorable). Their music does what great music is supposed to do... move you, if only for a moment, into another realm. What more could you ask for from a Band of incredible Maids?! Thank you Cheeze, for bringing your viewers into the Band-Maid experience.
Thanks for doing these two songs. Warning is as the name implies, a Warning to not play this while driving. We all wish Kanami would just go wild and rip a long solo, she always leaves us wanting more, that tease. Memorable on the other hand is love song for the fans, non-fans won't understand the background of the song. Kicking Miku off the bus was a bit much, but she did bring along al lot of dried salmon.
Warning is as it sounds, it's a little dig at their previous label. The cars are them and the "other lot" clashing over their freedom to do what they want to do which led to the head-on collision at the end and their moving to Pony Canyon who gave them more control of their musical output. Which is great for them and even better for us.
Nice reaction :) Kanami's solos are almost always short! From now on and 1 or 2 others are the only songs where we get long periods of her guitar work.
This song was written during the US tour last fall and the video was shot in Joshua Tree National Park in California when they came back for the Last Rockstars concerts. The next live event for them was their show at Tokyo Garden where this debuted and where the live shots were filmed. It was written as a reaction to the reception they received from their fans but could also be taken as a love song. They have two other love letters to their fans, "Smile" which is sometimes performed acoustic. And "About Us" which was written as a gift to their fans to be played at Budokan. Budokan was heralded as their breakout show and was expected to catapult them to the next level, they had never solo'd a venue of the capacity. It was scheduled for March of 2020 and was cancelled weeks before the show due to the pandemic. The girls performed it a few months later on a livestream and Saiki, who is not known for showing her emotions, gave a heartfelt speech before the song. Fans still get choked up watching it.
Cheezy Mate! Greetings on an unusually fine winter day with snow-capped Mount Fuji in all its splendor. Your love for the desert reminded me of my one-year stay in Chad, Africa, just on the fringes of the desert! Warning! It is ironical that they have struck a strong friendship with The Warming trio and are considering reciprocal tours! For once the video is arguably better their live performance, but their recent videos have progressed to such a level that he choice between an MV and a live concert is becoming a hard choice to make! Memorable is quickly turning into a epoch-making song. They have still a long way to progress, what the classical and jazz musical education of three of them! Expect more and more and more! LOL Now, if you are looking for more ballads of theirs do follow the suggestion of your many commentators. As for me I would suggest a double reaction of Puzzle, the rock one and the acoustic one, both available on videos of their live (must be live!) concerts. Bring your handkerchief along! Always looking forward to our next reaction! Best regards, Robert-Gilles
Two songs, but your would not know that it was the same band. A tribute written by Kanami to their fans during their October US tour. The dichotomy that is Kanami. Wth guitar- a wild rock goddess. Without guitar- a bimused child with gangly arms. Great reaction-thanks.
The album UNSEEN WORLD is probably their most intense, diverse and progressive album they've done.. "Warning" was definitely a namesake when it came to its opening placement. A cousin to "Memorable", I would say, is the song "Daydreaming".
In 'Warning', one line of lyrics translates to 'Perfection? No one gets there'. For me, these ladies are damn close with their music and everything around them. 😇 Kanami, by the way, owes her nickname 'Minchozilla' to her solo, standing on the roof of the car in front of the smoke and orange light. :) Memorable is meant as a thank you to their fans and especially the American ones after last year's pretty successful tour. Do you have more songs like that? The answer is clearly 'yes'. Already 2 years ago they made a declaration of love to us with 'About Us'. Originally, this song was supposed to premiere during their scheduled big performance at the Budokan, similar to Memorable this year in January at Tokyo Garden Theater', but due to Corona and the lockdowns, this concert unfortunately never happened. Instead, they broadcast the performance online that day without fans. Pay attention to the faces, especially of Miku, in this video. To say they were struggling with their emotions would be an understatement. _____________________ 「 _'Our rock never dies ever. Forever!'_ 」 --- *BAND-MAID* 'Manners' 🕊
Interesting combo. Still prefer the official live version of Warning. The vid is kinda krazy, tho. Can't say enough bout Memorable. Such a beautiful ballad! ♥
We often want Kanami’s solos to be just a bit longer but we listen more closely and notice all the cool stuff she does through the entirety of almost every song. One of my favorite guitarists of all time.
Warning music video director: "MISA, you're gong to be on top of the car facing backwards playing the bass. Akane, we're setting your kit up in a wagon that will be pulled behind the car..." I wish I could have seen that conversation 😂
When you get a chance, have a listen to their live version. Even more savage. Apparently, it was a cold rainy day while filming this clip, but the explosion warmed them up. Yes. It was a real explosion. Memorable is another sweet love song to their fans. They genuinely love the fans, that love them.
Great stuff. There acoustic stuff is really nice. they have a whole session of softer stuff like No God, Sayonakidori, At the drop of a hat and a few others that is really really good
If you want to see softer side Band-Maid with hint of RnB, about us is the one to look at. There are many, many mid-tempo gems, pop-punk, even pop-jazz fusion as well. They have acoustic version of many of their songs too. And their alter ego "Band-Maiko" infused Japanese traditional musical instruments into some of their songs + they also have 1 original song as well. Oh, and there's another one with RnB, hip-hop and tribal music influence - Corallium is a must check. There is a live footage from their Shibuya eggman show on RUclips, I'm not 100% sure if there's copyright risk, if there is, there is audio version available on their official RUclips channel. Looking forward to your next Band-Maid reaction.
What a great pair of contrasting songs to react to together. It really shows their musical flexibility. When I first saw Warning when it came out I was in awe. I also wondered how many calories Akane burns through playing that song lol. Correct me if I'm mistaken Maidiacs but I think Memorable has the most amount of English lyrics than any previous songs. It just felt that way, and Saike's English prounciation is getting better. Great reaction Cheezyxyz.
Based on what I've read in regard to the song "Memorable". I believe this is more a Miku song, in that she was the driver behind creating the song. The use of an acoustic guitar with the electric is brilliant as is Kanami's solo. Saiki and Miku are in brilliant harmony with excellent sound balance. You hear both of them clearly. 2 things, everyone knows lyrics in parenthesis's is Miku's backing vocals?? Also Miku is their producer!
I've noticed that you've already reacted to several excellent Japanese female bands👍... but to continue your journey, two indispensable bands to check out are Gacharic Spin: ruclips.net/video/Jt7-GGRa3nc/видео.html and its side project, Doll$Boxx : ruclips.net/video/EOLZ2gLGwL4/видео.html 👍 They are NOTHING like you heard before.😎
I love both songs. And Memorable is lovely and touching and appreciated. But almost everyone is discussing it. So here is my personal view on Warning: Lots of symbolism here. Large, overgrown old-model luxury cars from the US and UK, homelands of rock and roll, symbolizing the music industries from there, AND those based on the same models including in Japan. Meaning, overly about corporate authoritarianism. Driven recklessly. Saiki is in one and the rest are on top of others, subject to dangers of how they are guided/misguided. With each contract, Band-Maid have gained more independence (thanks largely to Miku's negotiating skills). At the end, Kanami is on top of one but it is still. Then all of them are on their own, standing on their own two feet, while these old-model corporate music industries crash and burn. None of it was fake or computer graphics. Real cars, they were really on them, real fiery explosion at the end. Saiki said the heat was welcome because it was a cool evening. So the warning to the music industry is: you're overgrown, outdated, badly guided, and if this continues you will crash and burn. So we're going to stand on our own and do our thing - over here. Under their current contract with Pony Canyon, they have much artistic freedom, and responsibility. As independent as they can be and still have a label distributing and supporting. On their feet, rocking on.

A maid running on a muddy road. A maid walking in the desert. Good comparison!
No. Don't Let Me Down and Dragon Cries were sung entirely in English.
@@armynurseboy thanks. I forgot about those.
For a more melodic side of Band Maid try Daydreaming always near the top of fan favorites and my number one
Check out (The Dragon Cries) very good under reacted to song.
If you get a chance watch the Netflix movie Kate. Bandmaid is playing in a club. Several songs. Almost all the music is from the band. Good movie too
I've noticed that you've already reacted to several excellent Japanese female bands👍... but to continue your journey, two indispensable bands to check out are Gacharic Spin: ruclips.net/video/Jt7-GGRa3nc/видео.html and its side project, Doll$Boxx : ruclips.net/video/EOLZ2gLGwL4/видео.html 👍
They are NOTHING like you heard before.😎
I love both songs. And Memorable is lovely and touching and appreciated.
But almost everyone is discussing it.
So here is my personal view on Warning:
Lots of symbolism here.
Band Maid:Rinne, brano fantastico!!!React please!!!
Next request .. BURGERKILL - killchestra an ELEGY (official music videos). Simpony harmonic from indonesia metal hardcord ..thanks u verry much 🤘🔥🔥🔥🎸
You should react to broken by the scream, seems like you haven't react to them yet.
Why does all their stuff sound the same Oh it's not original Duh
This is actually rather humorous as it would be hard to find two of their songs that sound so different!
