- Himachali Style Pahari Aloo Palda Recipe (Potatoes in Yogurt Gravy) is similar to a kadhi that is prepared in the snow capped mountains of himachal. The food prepared by them is very basic and very subtle flavors are added into their dish. The cuisine that they practice is popularly known as the Pahari cuisine.
In this recipe, soft potatoes are cooked in a rich and thick creamy yogurt curry that is flavored with cinnamon, cardamom and cloves. The aroma that you get from this dish while preparing is sensational. A very humble dish that you can try at home anytime of the day.

Thanks for the appreciation bhai ji🙏 bt in himachal I had palda made with chachh only n sometimes with curd so it can be prepared with both which I mentioned in my video....the recipe of khoru is different n l knw it cn be prepared with chachh only 😊
@@meenakshirana1579 but majorly its made from curd , the introduction of buttermilk in palda is due to its ease of availability in every household though in traditional meals it is made up of curd

Palda is known as Palyo (पल्यो) (but with few different ingredients) in Gadwall.
Here we use "Jhaguru" (Whitish Grain) and "Chhanch" (छांछ) with "Luunhu" (गड़वाली मसाला). Also you can choose potato & other veggies for it.
Both Himachali & Uttrakhandi cousines is famous in Gadwall as Gadwalli cousines.
