being fresh out of university at age 22 making 100k a year being able to pay off my student loans in 4 months total, I'll put my word into this and provide my feedback considering I've lived through it. The only reason I mention that is because I've lived through the concept of being a student and learning how to stand out to companies on my own.
0:39 - if you graduated college and this is your first interview, you're behind, and doing something wrong.
0:44 - you should have researched career paths when first starting college, not when graduating, you're most likely investing $50k+ for a 4 year degree, it's worth spending 2 nights before you do that knowing what the market is going to want you to do with this career.
0:52 - you apply education to business by knowing parts of the fundamental understanding of your field of study.
0:59 - you shouldn't narrow it down, spend 1 weekend applying to many jobs.
1:26 - I wouldn't just go indeed, just google jobs
1:32 - please do NOT enter the degree, enter the titles. be broad with your titles so you can see the full list. many companies name the same responsibilities with different titles.
1:44 - you really don't have time to research companies the way he's talking about, that comes with after they tell you they wanna talk to you. He's talking about companies growth and that whole concept, who cares, care about that AFTER you get their attention. not before.
2:08 - You should know this already if anything.
2:34 - this is a scary statement you've made. this is why someone goes to a $50k a year school instead of a $20k a year school, bc the "name". This statement is very very wrong, unless you simply state by "some", you mean very few, UNLESS you're talking about top 5 uni's in the country.
3:47 - I wouldn't simply advise random people to put in their head that family/friends are the BEST resources, remember many are in toxic envs. having poor parents can most likely end up making you poor due to the mindset you grew up around. For example, we see this all over the Dave Ramsey show.
skipped through half bc too much time.
9:43 - really man? you're telling students they need to be aware of how to handshake in order to land a job out of college?
This video can be shortened to 5 mins:
You want a job after college?
    - Verify that the degree you're going to have has market value. Do not major in an Art degree and wonder why you're in so much debt without a plan to get out of it.
    - Outside of class, spend time doing projects that simulate practicality with your education. These are outside of your school projects.
    - Most universities/colleges offer Student Centers that have pros to look over your resume and do mock interviews, get all the pros there to look at your resume, and go through at least 6 resume redos until you get the perfect one, this should all be done while you're still a student.
    - Learn how to speak in interviews, this goes with not only speaking relating to the field, but speaking about yourself when it becomes time to sell yourself.
    - Aim for 1-3 internships relating to your field of chose during college.
    - Start applying for jobs out of college 4-7 months prior to graduating.

@@AustinKelly I don't have an IG/FB/LinkedIn but I do have a twitter if you wanna throw me your @, and again I do apologize if my feedback seemed too rude. I left a like instead of a dislike simply bc I enjoy your hustle in providing students different approaches. If you disagree with anything I said or it seemed like I was making more of an uneducated statement then we can def talk more about whichever one no prob :)
