If your winters are cold enough and you don't like frosty cheeks, foam seats are the go to choice for outhouses. If you've got any extra rigid insulation foam, you could carve up a couple replaceable seats.

Your door turned out better than my attempt. I had some extra 1 x 12 s laying around so I smashed them together into a door. Last time I saw it... before winter it was getting pretty warped. When I get back up to my property in a couple weeks I need to take it down and put together something proper-ish.

Idea: use a longer 'pivot rod' on the outside door latch to allow for an inside door latch as well. Or maybe that's just me worrying about getting locked inside the dookie den.
