In ‘72 I was a youngster racing my old Hodaka in local motocross events, trying my best to “ride like DeCoster”. Unpretentious , soft spoken, earned, greatness. What a great time to be alive.

I personally met Roger DeCoster back in 1976..., very nice, unpretentious guy.

I also met mr. DeCoster, he was very nice. I believe that it was in 1976 or '77.

The speed of these riders is amazing - with suspension 1/3rd of what they have today these guys were really moving . Suzuki had the lighter machine ,and the best riders . DeCoster was a superstar , extremely fast , and everyone tried to copy his style .

Lots of memories, coming in with the ends of your hand grips ripped off from bar to bar combat!

Did you see that sissy bar?.....
It was set quite high. Seems more than less, are capable of jumping over it lately!
