@@bb-fg8cv Sorry for my blunt answer, but: Rubbish. If GT7 can handle VR on the PS5, its possible WRC23 can handle it too. The problem is;
A) the devs aren't capable implementing VR for PS5
B) WRC23 is badly optimized
AND the always
C) 'there's-not--enough/fast-money-to-be-made'...

As a gt7 psvr2 gamer this is the only way to play racing sims in 2024.
Time to get a PC then! Many titles to enjoy here. Unfortunately PSVR2 does not seem to attract the publishers! Also soon you will be able to use the PSVR2 on PC.

@@xavierStark84 I love GT7 but to be fair they are referring to racing/sim games on PC, there's unfortunately nothing else in those 200 PSVR2 titles that compares to GT7 at the moment. Of course there's plenty of other great games, but not racing ones, so their comment is valid, not ignorant.

With the Play Station do you have free modding? free online? SimHub support? All wheel bases support? Organized competitions? VR support for all racing sims? You are clearly the ignorant here...
All sim racing console players soon or later come to PC.

Plus the better vr experience is on pc, just as the best sim racing games are on pc.

@@qudek77 For sure they could do it if they keep on optimizing the game and run it lower res/making the most of the eye tracking and dynamic foveated rendering, but i still doubt it.
It's a shame you're still not considering PSVR2. After spending hundreds of hours in DR1 in PSVR I can't go back to pancake. Tried it with Dirt Rally 2.0 because I was hoping that it would be also released to PSVR1 but couldn't play it like on a TV anymore. For now I still can't justify buying this game without PSVR2 support.
If EA/Codemasters could even just port the old Dirt Rally VR to PSVR2, I’d be happy!

Why isn’t psvr2 supported?
Right?! We can race 20 other players in highly detailed vehicles and with zero framerate issues on GT7 with PSVR2. So a rally game with one vehicle at a time would be a cakewalk (for a competent AAA development team).
I smell bias against console players. Glad I realized they weren't including PSVR2/PS5. I was about to encourage my friends to finally get this game.

@AmbientMike Sorry, but VR exclusivity to racing games for GT7 is the dumbest thing I've ever heard... Like... Do Sony want the thing to sell? Or not? Because racing games and first-person shooters are the primary sellers for VR headsets. So I doubt that's the reason. Developers just don't want to suppPSVR2 because of the smaller install base. And the only reason people aren't flocking to PSVR2, is because AAA devs aren't supporting it. It's a catch 22. But if Sony announced a VR partnership with Take Two for GTA6, it'd be a wrap. The thing would sell shiploads.

If enough people buy it for PC after VR releases, I could see them rethinking PSVR2.
And honestly, since PSVR2 support is coming to PC, I hope they do add stuff like eye tracked foveated rendering, HDR, and maybe even the haptics. Which make it even easier to port over to PS5

@@cjscarchannel6529 of course it could run, even if they had to dial back the settings so far it looked like a PS3 game. We'd still play it. Case in point, Dirt Rally 1 worked on PSVR1 on a *much* weaker system.

@@Lead_Foot Gran Turismo 7 on PSVR2 runs at 60fps reprojected to 120fps and the feedback for that game in VR is very positive.

I've been enjoying Helldivers 2 so much, I forgot some games had completely unnecessary battlepasses, such as EA Sports WRC.
I haven't played any other game since helldivers 2 came out. So refreshing, I had totally forgotten what it was like to have to fun playing a game.. (isn't that a depressing realisation). I've already put well over 100 hours into it and can honestly see myself doing 1000 (easily)

As a PlayStation player, I still think it’s awesome that you are taking the steps to making a cooler racing experience, and continue to update all players on the up coming changes and upgrades. And to everyone upset it has not come to PlayStation yet, maybe the next game will have PSVR support! These are good steps!

Will you fix the low gpu usage? And 20-50% frame drops at the last part of every stage?
try lowering your car reflections setting to ultra low if your GPU usage is low. The car reflections cause a CPU bottleneck.
@@RoniNiklas it is on ultra low but on any other game the GPU performance at its max 99-100% but here no we don't need the extra power from the GPU and the extra fps. It so badly optimised that even if you have a 2070 or a 4090 you have the same fps. I believe that there is a cap at performance from consoles where they chase 60fps and here we have some kind of bug that " doesn't need" the extra power from the card.also when at rally school lessons the game performs as it should with 99%gpu usage and much more fps check for your selves
It’s STILL doing this? Jesus Christ. I quit playing after a month because the game ran like sh*t. It’s too bad… the courses are actually quite good, but the animations of the people and foliage look straight out of an early PS3 game. Blank, expressionless stares.

4090 here and no matter what setting I use I still get micro stutter, especially at the end of the stages.

@@EASPORTSWRCand I can bet esports won't be separated by console and WE CONSOLE PLAYERS are going to HAVE to play against PC players who's computers run the game 100 percent faster than us. 80+ more frames than console. If y'all literally separated console from PC for this esports event it will be fun to compete but I doubt even that will happen because Xbox STILL has frame rate issues on multiple stages including sound stutters.

@@Reece67RacingYou need at least 90 fps to make vr a good experience. The game only runs at 60 fps without vr, and adding vr is only going to make it even more demanding to run.

@@4frost316 exactly! that's why I still haven't bought it. They outright lied about it by pretending widescreen support was the same as triple screen support.
I play on 3 x 32s with nvidia surround and while it's not proper support, it's entirely playable.
More adjustment in seating position would help but it's still ok.
Bring the EA racing games to PSVR2, it’s one headset, one platform. There’s only 1 permutation that you need to program for, especially when you’ve already developed for all different configurations of PC and different PC VR headsets.

@EASPORTSWRC I think the comments section may hint on the fact there are many more PSVR2 users than people think.. ( Sony don't exactly shout from the hilltops about anything) you are missing a golden opportunity here.. with foviated rendering this would actually look really good. The amount of people that went as far as buying a rig through the immersion that GT7 in PSVR2 has brought to there lives is quite shocking and you shouldn't underestimate it. I would get in there first before ports are made once psvr2 has its PC support if i were you. You have a big market of PS5 owners and you can get away with it at 60hz like GT7 has with the use of FR and eye tracking. You going to need this 90hz minimum on PC to not make people sick..
Agreed, there’s a substantial amount of disappointed PSVR2 owners (like me) who love GT7 but don’t have anything else to play. MANY PSVR2 owners will instantly buy WRC and F1 if they added support, which would be pretty easy since it’s only 1 configuration of hardware to develop for.

I like the game, but i think there are some things to get better, like, exhaust flames are a bit slow, i think it should have an option to move the camera in first person automatically as you steering, free ride mode to config the car, and controls

Rain is better than what I remember in the past iterations. Still not great but it's now what I would consider acceptable. Snow still doesn't make any sense though...

It's about damn freaking time!!! I think a lot of us actually bought the game pre release cause we all thought it was going to have VR, triples, etc with the release. I might have played like 2-3 hours and then deleted the game and stuck with Dirt 2.0 since it has VR and is damn fun.

EA never fails to disappoint! After the huge shithow which they call a "Game" was released in a horrible state (and is still not fully fixes), EA decides to bring VR support but only for PC and not for PSVR2.
I can't imagine how much someone needs to hate players to publish unfinished game after unfinished game and piss on the customers repeatedly!
Since you guys took a lot of time to finally bring vr then are we to assume that it will be very well optimized?
it's probably gonna suck at first and then improve it, as they did with the game itself..
I think one of the biggest issues that's still left to tackle (imo) is making the co driver more accurate / specific. The amount of mistimed calls, or vague calls that have led to me flying off cliffs or wrecking the car is way too high. If the camber is bad I want to know, if there's a rock covering 25% of the road I need to know.
Massive project to undertake but it's an obvious thing that needs fixed
