Every man who had a pager was a murderer. Not only have they been firing rockets into Israel unprovoked, killing people (12 Druze children in Majdal Shams, or a husband and wife who were driving home to Kibbutz Ortal for example, their car was directly hit, their 3 teens now orphans) and turning thousands into refugees in their own country, the North of Israel has been vacant for a year. In addition to all that, they were a very real threat of another October 7th, this time by Hezbullah's Raduwan forces from the North. No country would have this threat on its border. They are violating UN resolution 17101, they shouldn't be anywhere near the border. You cant get more precise than this.
I work in a customer service job and the amount of people that I heard yesterday celebrating this act of terrorism was deeply disturbing. Deeply disturbing. I was in a corporate meeting yesterday and I heard some of the people celebrating it. I don't know that I hold out hope for America anymore. You would think the people would remember what 9/11 was like and seeing innocent people die on our own soil would have left some sort of a heightened awareness in our population. That does not seem to be the case. In fact we seem to have become the monsters that we claimed to hate. Murder and terrorism are now acceptable as long as you label the person with a title of enemy. Proof is not necessary. A trial is not necessary. You just have to say the person is an enemy. Exploding pagers or exploding cell phones are now acceptable as long as the person is your enemy. What have we become.
