I just read the rulebook. You are actually not forced to play all cards in your hand. Which means, you don't have to play your stagger cards. There are certain Mythos cards and other game effects which will force you to play you Stagger cards. Specifically, it's on page 9 of the rule book. :)
Hi there, very nice playthrough video. As I work myself through the rules I am not sure with the use of the stagger cards. I understand it like it do no damage in coop and u just can discard it. Greetings Mike
Thanks! The stagger cards work to gum up your hand with cards that aren't really helpful, so you'll have a stagger card instead of one to help you buy extra stuff, or that you can use to defeat something. However, there are some cool usages of them because some of the mythos cards or some enemies will force you to discard a card, and you can use the stagger card for that, as well as a few other usages when you discard them. Hope this helps. This is a fantastic game!
Great run through. I cancelled my pledge on this to get something else and deeply regretted it but thankfully I've been able to jump on the late pledge. What are the card sizes? Can't find this anywhere. Cheers!
It's great that you were able to grab it. It seriously is one of my favorite deckbuilders of all time! I think you'll really enjoy it. As for the card size, I'm not really sure what the exacts on the final cards will be. I dug through the Kickstarter comments to see if there were any mentions of it, but didn't see any. I will say that Brad @ Wyvern is really responsive on their Facebook page, so if you were to drop a line there, you'll probably get an answer direct from the source in no time! Thanks for watching, I really appreciate your kind words! Cheers!
@@KingBlazerXS I reached out to Brad @ Wyvern to see if he can chime in here. I would definitely recommend the first game as well. I played that a TON before I even started playing the Horror expansion. I wanted to get a feel on how the base game played before adding additional mechanics, and I fell in love with the game. I still play both. The first one doesn't have the locations, but is still fantastic, and can be very brutal. I love it!
@@GeekCityUSA Nice one, thanks for that. I may just add the first game then... SO.MANY.GAMES Edit: You recently did a Viticulture run through, a game I have just purchased too. Subbed :)
Great overview/review of the game. New to your channel, but really enjoying it so far. Especially like your solo Saturdays.
Thank you very much! Glad you are enjoying the Solo Saturday too... spoiler alert, for this Saturday, I did a playthrough of this game. :)

Ah, you covered that later in the video. :)
Outstanding review!
Hey, thanks so much!!
Nicely done! Very good video and an interesting game as well!!
Thanks, I REALLY enjoy this game!
Is it a must to play the stagger card? As i read the Rules you just can discard it at the end of round? Except a card forces you to play it right?

@@GeekCityUSA I don't have a FB account :( Would you say the first game is worth grabbing at the same time?

All of the cards with the exception of the Investigator player cards are standard poker size (63x88mm). The Investigator cards are 210x120mm.
