Middle aged white guy here. Last summer my 40something cousin died of breast cancer and I was thinking if any cancer has had media and funding this is it so how did she die? I remember running the race for the cure in the 80s or 90s? After all this time we still don’t know s-t. But there are way more drugs to take. Sad on so many levels.

I am a cytotechnologist, I assist on ROSE FNAS all the time for suspected cancer. We have had TEN carcinoids (should only be 2%) in just 8 months. Previously u would only see 2 in 2 years. Something is up, and yes, all were vaxed up.

As a pathologist I almost never say carcinoids in practice, agreed.

@kathybrady4033 one more just diagnosed on a RUL nodule, that makes 11 carcinoids tallied up for the year so far.

My husband died 5-23 from NSCLC that metastisized after successful lung resection with no lymph involvement in 9-22. No chemo, radiation needed because he was clean. In 1-23 he supposedly got covid and because of his history was given paxlovid against my better judgement. By 3-23 he was having back pain. CT showed profuse lymph metastasis in his chest. By 5-3-23 he was gone. His surgeon, oncologist were stunned. No reason for this to have happened. Some day it will come out what has been done to people. I'll be gone but I'm collecting info for my grandkids to help prosecute these people!!

I'm so sorry. I looked up the contraindications (possible adverse reactions) of paxlovid.
      Do doctors not do this?

63 1 Pack cigarettes per day if I develop cancer . I'll live as long as I can without becoming a pharma company lab rat.Death will come regardless to all treatments ,and I don't fear death ,I do however fear being so sick from the treatment until my life quality becomes 0.

Funny how I remember doctors advertising smoking cigarettes on TV as being good to do. It wasn't that long ago.

I am a retired Oncology nurse. I would respectfully ask you to reconsider your stance. I worked from the late 1970’s to 2020 and saw amazing advances in the treatment of cancer.

Thank you Dr. Prasad for addressing this. These mutations aren't terribly prevalent but do improve survival. I think squamous cell lung CA is being neglected though, if you have any more intel on this deadly subtype I would be interested to hear updates. My dad died of SCC lung 10 years ago.
