Combo video featuring Chris gameplay and tech. I included as many different assists as I could to showcase how well Chris plays with others. Input for everything I did is provided below.

Prone Confirm performed by using an assist to link a fast recovering prone shot with a tiger knee magnum
The tiger knee motion is a half circle motion on the stick or d-pad. It starts by going from down, to down-forward, to forward, to up-forward, to up. (be careful not to hold up - when you reach the up input, quickly release it otherwise it will result in a jump).
A Tiger knee motion from prone will cause Chris to stand up
A Tiger knee motion + H from prone will cause Chris to stand up and then shoot his magnum.
@Eric H The crosshair for Chris' level 3 will appear based on the strength of button you hold down during his startup animation. The crosshair will appear directly on top of Chris when no button is held down It will appear in front of Chris when the L attack button is held down. It will appear half a screen away when the M attack button is held down. It will appear full screen when the H attack button is held down.
I will be thoroughly impressed when someone does a Chris combo, and the god damn shotgun doesn't whiff during the super.

I've been playing Chris for awhile now, and THIS VIDEO. THIS VIDEO. LIKE, WHAT!? CHRIS CAN DO THIS?! Lovin' the falling aer. magnum off the launcher. FINALLY I CAN DO SOMETHING OTHER THAN OTG INTO SWEEP COMBO. Thank you! :D
For example, one of my favorite combos to do now is off a combo into launch:
M, M, H, Magnum, land and call Shocking Pink, launch, M, M, H, S, land and block the pink explosion that pops the opponent back up, launch, H, S, d.H for the OTG into super. Whats great also is I can cancel midway through the super into Joe's slow and create a 50/50 mixup giving a good shot of a kill with 2 meters.
In short, thanks for helping me experiment with my team!
As a Chris main, this is just what I needed to up my game, considering that I use a good amount of characters in this video.

@Eric H Don't forget the crosshair will always appear relative to where Chris is standing. In other words, if Chris is standing on top of the opponent in the corner and you hold H, the crosshair will appear at it's full distance offscreen.

Used the information here on relaunching with assists really well recently. I run a team of Joe/Chris/Raccoon and while my Joe/RR and Chris/RR have done well with each other, I haven't felt the same with Joe/Chris, until you put the idea in my head of relaunching with certain assists. Now whenever I end an air combo with air magnum I call Joe's Shocking Pink before relaunching off the ground bounce. When I finish my air combo, the pink blows up allowing one more S-H-S gunshot into sweep combo.

Yea, I tried to use as many different assists as I could. A lot of really good assists had to be excluded simply because Chris can already do what they accomplish, mainly assists that OTG, ground bounce, and wall bounce.
@nco930 by super-jumping backwards off the launcher. You also want to time the otg magnum as late as possible as you fall to the ground.

As far as I can tell, Chris can stop Hyper Charging Star (as well as every other "projectile invincible" hyper) because of the first grenade. The grenade itself is a projectile, but the AoE explosion that freezes the opponent isn't.
With Spencer, the first grenade can't beat out the invincibility of bionic arm, but it can outlast it from full screen distances. If spencer is too far, his invincibility won't last long enough and he'll be frozen in his tracks before he can reach Chris.
@Leonredfield9 it's definitely a timing thing. Chris has enough invincibility to get off at least one laser, but the timing is pretty tight. If you at least get off that first laser he gets additional invincibilty frames during each additional laser you fire, so ultimately the trick will be landing that first laser.
I like to shift my hands during the lvl 3 cinematic. I'll use my left hand to hold down one of the attack buttons (to get the specific distance) and I'll use my right thumb to spam one of the other attack buttons to fire the laser. It's important not to spam until the crosshair appears tho, so you don't accidentally change the distance... that will ultimately be where timing factors in.
@LOLXMRADIO The biggest tip for landing the machine gun is to make sure you land the S as early as possible. You almost eant to spam the S, so it hits the split second you leave the ground. Doing that will give you more time, making it easier to land the machine gun. Also, you want to do the machine gun as early as possible.
Hmm. As someone who plays Chris and Raccoon, and not particularly fond of Log Trap as an assist combo extender ( I always end up using the wall bounce via magnum beforehand), I love the idea of using the claymore instead. Major props on the video.

The idea was variety. I had plenty of launch and re-launch and re-re-launch and even a re-re-re-re-re launch combo in the video, so I wanted to have simplified versions as well for those that prefer to stay basic.
Well, considering the video displays potential synergy with a variety of characters, and also the fact that very few people play Chris to begin with, I'd say you did it fairly quickly.
A good anti air and lockdown assist (Dante cover both those areas but if you dont use him or dont want to use him ammy, frank and akuma are great) since Chris' main weakness is arial attacks and approaches
I know, right? His head bobs up maybe a millimeter, which apparently is just high enough to be hit with a bunch of other projectiles as well, not just Morrigan's soul fists. Still tho, hella useful.

Well, I'm technically not canceling it, because you can't. Prone shot has very few recovery frames (which is why it can be shot so fast). A better explanation would be that I'm using an assist to link that fast recovering prone shot with a tiger knee Magnum.
Any Chris player can benefit from this video.

The combo at 5:05, is it possible to do it with jam session instead of lariat, or is it too slow? I've been trying it and when I hit the last ground special into air special it doesn't seem to work. Either that or I am too slow and they pop out (which in that case jam session would probably hit with less HSD).
By doesn't work I mean that they hit the ground before jam session's hitbox is out.
Have you tried adding an air heavy in between the ground special and air special? It may give you just the amount of time needed for Jam Session to land. The bigger issue to me though is the lack of hitstun Jam Session has that deep into the combo. The timing on that last air special is gonna be pretty rough, if not impossible.

Now that you mention that particular lineup... there's probably a lot you can do with those two assist characters. You could do a relaunch for each assist, a relaunch with a magnum and probably go into both level 1 hypers with Chris. Hmmm, I may want to look into that more actually. Shocking Pink never once crossed my mind when I was making this video, but it should have. You're welcome btw.
Well, I've only ever used two. The Hauppauge and my old ATI Wonder 650. They're both easy to use. The only difference is the ATI costed me $30 on sale and records in low quality, and the Hauppauge costed me around $230 and records in really high quality. I hear the Dazzle is a really good entry level capture card, never used one myself though.
I have a little prone tutorial in the description of the video. On top of that, it will take a bit of practice getting the timing down.
@culibemba2 I would guess you are trying to shortcut the input. You're probably rolling the stick or d-pad directly into the magnum from f.M. To avoid accidental grenades, you have to make sure you let the stick or d-pad go fully into the neutral position before each special cancel.

Combo #8 would be the easiest way of getting off a level 3. I do it every once in a while online. In the video, I start it off with a grab, but you could easily begin with a normal ABC. The basic gist of the combo would be something like L, M, H, f.H, H Boulder, dash, cr.H, H Bouulder, dash, cr.H, standing Magnum, level 3.
With the right assists, you could probably do something more along the lines of combo #14. Instead of doing Sweep at the end, you would go straight into level 3.
SSJDevin mentioned this already, but the shotgun misses because I already used a ground bounce with my OTG Magnum. In 99% of cases, it's never worth passing up an OTG Magnum just to land that shotgun because I would be giving up on an entire rep of whatever combo I'm performing and possibly an extra flamethrower. In essence, if that shotgun connects, you did something wrong.
Looks nice! :) I've never really faced a good Chris to be honest. I'm thinking about making a combo video for Tron in the near future- I'll have to try to make it as good as some of yours but I've never made a youtube video before.. we'll see!
Nah, it's just good timing. Dorm's hyper stops doing damage about a second or so before the actual fire animations stops. It just looks like he has invincibility.

Yea, someone brought that up already. I don't think they're all that necessary since they only add a couple thousand points of damage in extended combos. My most damaging combo in this video kills taskmaster (over 1.1m) and doesn't make use of the boulder punch cancels. The most damaging Chris combo I've ever seen didn't make use of them either.
...didn't know Prone Shot can be canceled into specials. Gonna have to check this out.

@culibemba2 it' really just Magnum, dash, f.M, magnum, dash, f.M, magnum. It's fairly simple, bit the f.M parts can be finicky.

Yea, it can be pretty tricky. That's one of the links I botch the most when playing online. The best advice I can give it to make sure you allow your controls go back to the neutral position after inputting forward M. Make it an effort to release your buttons and controls before you go into your magnum input... that should help with accidental grenades.
Do it. Tron is so uncommon, I'm sure there's mounds of tech with her just waiting to be discovered.

Also at 4:00 when you got the magnum wall bounce why didnt you try to relaunch Vergil? Ive seen other Chris Combos vids that relaunch the opponent after getting a magnum wall bounce.
How execution heavy is Chris would you say? I've never really tried him out much but your video makes him look like a blast to play. I'd hardly consider myself an intermediate player so I'm wondering how difficult he is to use well.

I'm not sure what you mean by "the hand cannon." Although if you are trying to OTG with any of the guns and you are getting the voice but no bullets, it means you are inputting the gunshot too late in your jump. Chris needs to be shooting his gun on the way up from his jump... not on the way down.
Ah, I watched one of your vids to see what you were talking about, and it in fact does add on a little bit, maybe between 5-10k... which isn't much... but hey, damage is still damage.

Imma need you to give me a visual of the stick. TKing is so easy but I can't do it out of the prone shot stand like you do to confirm. It does not seem to share the same properties or timing of his neutral gunshot so I'm lost

I've actually wondered if the meter gain on flamethrower was a glitch myself. I bet they could cut the meter gain in half and he would still be able to do a lot of meter positive kill combos. I hope they don't do that though :
What's your most practical combo into Satellite Laser? In Vanilla, I'd do BnB into OTG c.H->H Boulder Punch->LV3, but they fall out of the Boulder Punch now.
Aw that sucks. That would have been perfect for some anti-morrigan tech. Chris's prone IS THE ONLY MOVE I've tried so far that can actually duck under the soul fists, but he can't move cause if he does he'll get hit.

The only one I want to learn right now is the Prone Shot w/ assist combo. I run Trish with my Chris and Morrigan team and for assist wise I have Trish's Low Voltage assist. Any tips @Darchon25?
in the second combo. how do you get chris to fall like that after the flamethrower launch . everytime i do it i launch i miss the gun shot because he is always to close to the character . do did you get the gun shot to work . and how did he get at the distance

At 4:17 How do u do punish opponents with the Satellite Laser without getting taking any damage?
When I try to counter hypercombos with the Laser, Im able to mount the Laser but sometimes i get hit and get interrupted. Ive seen ur other online vids and u seem to succeed everytime
Is it a timing issue (do i have to wait a few seconds after mounting the Laser or do i fire immediately?) or is Chris' Lv3 only invincible to some moves?
is there a trick to the otg with the hand cannon after a knockdown in order to relaunch, i keep getting the voice and the gun,but the bullet doesn't come out, any tips?
