By the by dont know if you ever figured it out but the other spring isnt exactly a spare per say. Its a lower strength spring for cycling lower velocity ammo eg standard velocity etc.
Bought one about 2 weeks ago great ergonomics love the sa/da decocker lets you appendix carry without worry very picky when it comes to ammo type will shoot cci mini mags/ Remington Thunderbolt all day others not so well other than that nice pistol paid $200.00 out the door.
Thank you for demonstrating the safety. I thought maybe my safety was defective. Just picked up my Firefly today. I planned on testing the safety with ammo at the range.
@@CDNSHEEPDOG The second spring is for 35g cheap ammo but if you shoot 40g high velocity ammo and polish the feed ramp the gun can go hundreds of rounds without a single FTF
Great review, very thorough and informative. I've been looking at these because I loved the Norinco NP40 I handled in my rpal class: perfect balance, it fit my hand perfectly, ergonomic controls. So I wanted that in .22 for cheap plinking and fun. I'm glad you found the pet load for reliable cycling, how are the CCI in terms of accuracy?
Good time for an update, we've put about 300 rounds of cci mini mags through it at this point and had zero malfunctions, went out last weekend with my son and had a great time with it. As far as accuracy, it's more accurate than the shooters in my house i'm sure. lol no complaints for plinking, that's for sure. Other than the double action trigger pull being pretty much impossible for your average kid, my 11 year old simply hauls back the hammer and runs it single action all the time and is good to go.
Cool video, I like the channel. I’m gonna buy one of these for 150USD from a co-worker just to plink and not use up my 9mm. The double action trigger sucks, but it’s whatever, I’m not expecting $1500 CZ performance. People hate on these too much.
I just bought one an i put the lightning bolts in it an pull the trigger click nothing happened with the whole mag didn’t fire not sure what could be wrong 😕
@@CTV_tactical lol, it happens to us all, but that's the first thing I'd look at, many guns won't even go "click" with the safety on as the trigger doesn't move, this one will though, so you may have thought you were good to go but it was on. I hope that's all it was for you. If not, I'd assume your striker/firing pin isn't making it all the way forward, maybe tear it down and make sure there's no obstruction.
So no offense but I'm a liar? lol sure. This gun so far has been through 300 rounds of cci mini mags without 1 issue. Period. I've not bothered to try anything else in it as the mini mags work perfectly.

I used to have a SigSauer Mosquito, I got rid off it after the slide cracked in half. Other than looks, there isn't anything good about it. There are other much better pistols than this one.
@@P-12 I'd assume so, though if the slides "breaking" were a common thing, I'd certailny have run into it in my research before buying, shitty to hear you had troubles with your old sig, I'm confident this new version is going to be just fine. Thanks again for checking out the video.
Great clip,
Came across the gun today, thanks for the info
Thanks for checking it out. My son now uses it for IPSC competitions. He's a super JR.
This is such a cheap and fun gun to shoot!! It's also aesthetically pleasing as well
I feel like I'm playing Call of Duty about to upgrade my weapon with that music. 😂
😂 hope you're not upgrading to a 22 in COD... you're hurting if that's the case.
@CDNSHEEPDOG I know they got the "glock" but idk bout a 22lr 😆
Pretty sure that spare spring is for dif velocity...

I'd thought i'd mentioned it in the video, but it seems you're correct I didn't. Thanks for adding the info.

Don't have a whole of knowledge of guns but this seemed fairly straightforward,Pretty nice little gun for your son.Great Video,Cheers.👍
Thanks Greg, I appreciate the support.
Make sure to read the Owners Manuel, it helps with determining which spring to use for which ammo.... ..
Factory installed spring works great with cci mini mags, sticking with that.

Thanks Jayd, trying to get back on top of things.

Nice work!!

Might seem like a silly question, but was your safety on? (the gun will still click and the hammer will drop with the safety on, but it won't go bang)
@@CDNSHEEPDOG maybe lol i have a habit of forgetting about the safety

Since the Sig Mosquito was a bit of a "bomb", why should this be any better?
Why should it? No idea but this one has worked flawlessly so far.

Guess we'll have to agree to disagree on that one, this GSG works very well, and I couldn't argue with the price.
