The Villa Doria Pamphili is a seventeenth-century villa with what is today the largest landscaped public park in Rome, Italy. It began as a villa for the Pamphili family and when the line died out in the eighteenth century, it passed to Prince Giovanni Andrea IV Doria, and has been known as the Villa Doria Pamphili since.

This is a wonderful video. I used to live in Rome on Via Della Stazione do San Pietro. My info states that Villa Ada is the largest park in Rome. 2nd place goes to Villa Doria Pamphili and 3rd is Villa Borghese. Wonderful place to spend time exercising or picnicking

À chacune de vos vidéos c'est un bonheur renouvelé !☺️... mais je vous avoue ma déception en voyant vos images. Ce n'est guère votre façon de filmer mais je m'attendais à découvrir cette fameuse villa sous un autre aspect. C'est vrai, il ne s'agit que du parc immense. Cet endroit a dû connaître des jours meilleurs et son aspect qui s'offre aujourd'hui à nos yeux ne reflète pas les merveilles et curiosités qu'il abritait. Ces bassins, fontaines, grottes et nymphée auraient, je pense, besoin d'une vraie campagne de restauration. Putto volée (le voleur avait bon goût !😄), statues antiques sans leurs têtes et nymphée asséché et dont les niches rondes abritaient à l'origine des bustes mais dont il ne reste plus grand chose 🤔...
Je n'ai pas bien compris s'il s'agit d'une propriété privée...
Heureusement, il reste les arbres dont quelques spécimens de cyprès chauves qui valent le détour.
Par contre, j'ai adoré l'aqueduc de Trajan toujours en activité si j'ai bien compris.
La richesse patrimoniale italien à son revers. Les moyens souvent financiers requis à la préservation de tant de merveilles font peut-être défaut ?!...
C'était le mot du jour ☺️😄...

Bonjour Pierre, le parc appartient à l'état à l'exception de la chapelle qui est restée à la famille Doria Panphilj probablement car elle conserve les tombes familiales. L'État italien est trop souvent peu attentif à ses trésors, il n'est pas rare qu'il les snobe ou leur accorde peu d'importance, donnant peut-être la priorité à l'archéologie, mais même dans ce domaine, s'il est propriété de l'État, il a toujours ses problèmes. Je pense qu'on a la chance de vivre dans un beau pays mais en même temps on a souvent les pires administrateurs/politiciens possibles. 😌 Salutations. 😉

Bellíssimo parco, che deve essere più bello nel suo glorioso passato.
La famiglia Pamphilj venuto a unirsi la Villa Del Vascello con la Villa Doria Pamphilj e la Villa Corsini.
Ampio parco, dove fu ferito a morte anche l'autore dei versi dell'inno nazionale italiano, Goffredo Mameli.
Che peccato che sono stati rubati il Cupido che ornava il centro della Fontana del Putto e altre opere della Fontana di Venere. Molte opere li ha presi dal Vaticano.
Si dice che il Casino del Bel Respiro fosse cosi chiamato perché situato su un'altura, lontano dalle zone malariche di Roma.
Anche le statue nella Fontana di Venere hanno spaccato la testa nelle sanguinose battaglie.
Bellísimo Arco dei Quattro Venti, con le sue evocazioni dell'antica architettura romana.
Grande opera l'acquedotto di 57 chilometri, fatto construire dall'imperatore Traiano, nato a Italica, l'attuale Siviglia.

Si, è veramente un peccato che tali parti mancanti non vengano ripristinate anche come semplici copie, sicuramente renderebbero giustizia (in parte) ad una così splendida villa. Grazie Juan, mi fa piacere ti sia piaciuto. 🙂😉
