I have replaced an old Macbook running Lion by a new Macbook M2 running Monterey. I still need some old applications that are not designed for the M2 chip. So I would like to create a virtual machine (UTM) running Lion. I have tried to follow your explanation.
Question: Which installer do I need to download? A Monterey version or a Lion version?
Many thanks in advance for your help

      @@iTECH4MAC No rush
I am using an application named GPSPhotolinker from Early innovations to tag pictures in batch and add GPS coordinates, location, country, … My old HP scanner is not recognized in MacOS Monterey. I have also an old NAS running an old version of SMB and this is not supported on Monterey too.
That’s why I would like to create a virtual machine running MacOS Lion and have everything on the same hardware platform.
By the way, you don’t tell me which installer I should use?
      Many thanks in advance
