as someone who doesn't have the luxury to shop at sephora often, i totally take a lot of time "curating" my cart too. i usually buy around sale time and i would spend weeks just trying to decide what to get so that i can get the most out of my money
i consider brands like kosas to be clean/indie hence the hefty price, and brands like dior or chanel to be traditional luxury

You have to try Ilia’s lip oils! They are like a gloss but much more moisturizing than kosas, I love them and I love the Dior too. Also, kosas’s concealer is awesome!

I've been wanting to get that Kosas bronzer for months, you may have convinced me. also, I really really recommend the Kosas Wet Lip Oils if you ever go back to those! I got the set of three minis (Jaws, Jellyfish, and Dip) and i love them all. really great formula, super moisturizing, beautiful shine. Dip is The Perfect pink-y nude, MLBB shade

I’d say they are very different. The em cosmetics one is more dramatic which I kind of like more at the moment!
