You have to respect the skills of Elize Ryd and Alissa White. Even Floor had 48 hours to study the songs before her first gig, these two ladies had 55 minutes!

Is this perhaps the most epic karaoke night in history? :D

Perhaps it should be renamed the "Denver Miracle" since it really was an amazing concert experience for all involved. And it led to the band getting Floor as their vocalist! Kudos to Nightwish, the guest singers, and that amazing audience for making it happen. Thanks to the poster for this well-constructed video.

Sometimes it's hard to be a non English speaker. How come success is spelled "debacle"?

I love how Elize and Alissa entered the show hand in hand. Like saying, "we can do this!". MAD respect for both parties, Kamelot for being supportive and NW for putting their fans first as always. I would have killed to go that concert!! This for me is the best version of "Storytime".

This performance has reached legendary status with European metal fans in Denver and is still talked about at every show I attend. I was in the balcony of this show and it was clear the band was stressed although obviously we didn't know the full extent of the story at the time. It was one of the most courageous performances I've ever seen by a band and it was our honor to support them with all of the energy we could muster. Nightwish, Alissa and Elize (saw her in later with Amaranthe) will forever hold a special place in the hearts of Denver because of the courage they showed.

This was obviously the moment, Annett lost her job as NW recognized, they need a goddess. And they found hell of a goddess.

So the two girls enter the stage to sing songs they don't fully know, aided by lyrics written in a piece of paper, and even so they perform better than Anette!

Propably they were better than Annete.

Hey Elize, our singer is sick and we need a replacement for tonight. We go in in 20 minutes.

I attended my first Nightwish concert three years (2015) later in Denver. Marco addressed the crowd asking how many had been there the last time they were in Denver and about half of the audience cheered. I didn't realize the significance at the time.

This was a one-of-a-kind show, and I wish I had been there. The fans were so excited to see Nightwish, and Nightwish worked so hard to bring them the best show possible with such short notice!

What is amazing about this is that Alissa literally knew NONE of the songs off by heart, and had ONE hear through of the music in the time before going live. And she 99.99% nailed it.
