Sir in case of ureteric or renal colic which is a type of colicky pain hence it should activate the parasympathetic nervous system which should produce pyloric relaxation, if this is the case how does one explain the occurrence of vomiting in cases of renal or ureteric colic ?
Pain is a symptom Tenderness is sign elicited How can Pain is replaced by tenderness(22:24) possible Sir? Can you please clear this part Sir and also please correct me if I’m wrong
Arvind Raj it simply means the pain is reduced while the tenderness increases... so initially there is more pain & less or no tenderness & later the tenderness increases..
“Replace” here means what was initially predominantly a symptom dominated ( colicky pain)presentation changes to less symptoms but more of signs ( tenderness) . Not that pain disappears but reduces in intensity while it becomes tender due to local reasons
Thank alot sir 🙏

Pain is a symptom
Tenderness is sign elicited
How can Pain is replaced by tenderness(22:24) possible Sir? Can you please clear this part Sir and also please correct me if I’m wrong
Is that possible to elicit a sign without obvious symptoms?
Sir! Can you please tell on this Sir
The boa in boa’s sign doesn’t refer to the snake constrictor boa, it refers to the German gastroenterologist is Ismar boas
