Why is it I feel the amount of input required to maneuver planes is a bit too much? I see yokes flying around like crazy. Cant the manufacturers design flight controls that require less input?
Unbelievably. Every landing is different, wind, weight, weight distribution, not to mention the pressure of 200 souls right behind you trusting you with their lives.
Does a bear shit in the woods? Of course it is 😂 seriously though there’s so many variables involved in setting up a good landing. Your AOA or the attitude of the plane, current flight configurations i.e. the amount of flaps and power input, altitude upon approach and even weight and balance. It’s an art and something to be proud of I believe, takes skill and tons of practice to master even small GA planes so the airliners are undoubtedly in an extreme category of their own.

I like to watch the control input. Especially during crosswinds every pilot has a distinct technique.
