Ryomen Sukuna (両りょう面めん宿すく儺な Ryōmen Sukuna?), more often referred to as simply Sukuna (宿すく儺な Sukuna?), is the strongest jujutsu sorcerer from a thousand years ago. Regarded as the undisputed King of Curses (呪のろいの王おう Noroi no Ō?), Sukuna is one of the primary antagonists of the Jujutsu Kaisen series.
According to legend, Sukuna was an Imaginary Demon (仮か想そうの鬼き神じん Kasō no Kijin?) during the Heian Era but in truth he was a sorcerer also known as the Disgraced One (堕だ天てん Daten?). Jujutsu sorcerers of the Golden Age of Jujutsu gave their all against him but ultimately fell one after another. Sukuna existed throughout the ages by transforming into a cursed object after death, a state where he split his power into twenty indestructible fingers.
Sukuna was incarnated in June 2018 when Yuji Itadori consumed one of his fingers. Sukuna was trapped inside Yuji's body and was rarely in control until he managed to transfer his soul into the body of Megumi Fushiguro.

People who argue sukuna NEEDED mahoraga to beat gojo lack any comprehensive ability, sukuna is constantly analysing his opponents and finding ways to further evolve his jujutsu and CT, had sukuna intended to kill gojo right off the bat he would’ve done so, gojo even said that sukuna without the 10s would’ve most likely still won. Sukuna used mahoraga to evolved his CT which lead to him developing the strongest attack in the series. There’s a reason why he stands above even gojo and kenjaku.
No. For narrative reasons, Gojo had to go. Gege stated that he was really going to just use the prison realm to remove Gojo from the plot, but he changed his mind, so he had to find another way, which was just poorly executed. There was no way that Sukuna could've just "killed Gojo right off the bat." If that was the case, then he wouldn't have gone out of his way to tame mahoraga, because mahoraga was the only thing, at the time, that was capable of bypassing the limitless. He literally pushed Mahoraga to demonstrate how to bypass the limitless when he had cut Gojo's arm off. You have to take into account that the fight was literally a 2 vs 1 and even then, Gojo had the upper hand. Sukuna should've been done for when he was hit with the unlimited void, but was saved due to plot and using Megumi as a sponge. People conveniently forget that it was stated that Sukuna was worried for the first time in a thousand years when facing Gojo. Up to this very point, he can't even use Malevolent shrine due to the heavy damage from the fight with Gojo. Now, let's be honest, the airport scene where Gojo explained that he would've still lost even without Maharaga was Geges' way of justifying Sukuna's win. Gege has a way of just stating things without showing proof, and we can't use Sukuna's new form as a way of scaling him against Gojo because he's fighting much weaker characters.

Ok, to be fair to sukuna. He could barely touch Gojo let alone land a black flash. With Maki, he could actually get into it since it’s just him. Sukuna had to worry about Mahoraga the majority of that fight so I can see why he wasn’t 100% giddy like he was here.

I have a theory that itadori cursed megumi back in the fearsome womb arc by saying “live a long and happy life” so I think megumi will not die until he is older and happier. This also ties into the fact that itadori was cursed by his grandfather to save many people and die surrounded by others. Yet itadori could die during the final fight when everyone make a move on sukuna if yuta is healed fulfilling the curse of death surrounded by others. (Sorry for the Long comment)

You may take a hit by mistake and lose health but you know everything is fine because you still have 7 pulse cells left, are accustomed to the game by now and know you can easily beat him if you actually tried but you stick with a "1weapon" run or "only counters" run or throwables only just for fun or the thrill or what have you.
This was exactly the case with gojo and yorozu and this is exactly the case now. Gojo Never stood a chance and sukuna wasn't taking him seriously enough to actually just kill him, that much is clear now imo.when you know you are above someone, you can afford to try something else.

I was rooting for Gojo 2 weeks before their fight started and Gojo fans made me root for Sukuna. All I said was Sukuna would/should win as it would make for a better story and they were losing their minds.

The problem with Sukuna is that Gege couldn't just let Sukuna take the W and go home, he had to keep saying Sukuna was never serious which is a problem when he is rendered unconcious and fearing for his live for the first time in 1000 years. If he was genuinely struggling but yet overcoming all possibilities it would have kept the stakes, as it is the audience don't feel invested, we are just waiting for Sukuna to win or for the reversal to happen.

Aight its early but lemme use these comments and boost your algo by responding here:
#1 Sukuna didn't hit a Black Flash Vs. Gojo.
Just taking a crack at this for fun: He was focused on overcoming infinity by learning what would eventually be revealed to be the World Cutter, so he probably couldn't have gotten off a Black Flash without stalling that process out or giving up on it entirely but IDK. Sukuna can literally do anything the story needs him to, which brings me to my next point.
#2 Sukuna can heal his heart with CE
This is where the Sukuna hate comes from. We keep being both told and shown that this man is receiving injuries (soul-split heart stab, brain damage from Gojo fight), nerfs to his output (Yuji) and has even been hit with something described to turn off CTs and eradicate evil in Jacob's Ladder at max output inside Yuta's domain where that boy was at 120% by default, and none of it has actually mattered. Sukuna just ignores all damage and supposed nerfs and fights exactly how he would fight at 100% health and just brute force's everyone. It's just boring at this point. How many times do we need to see Sukuna brute force people? His whole thing isn't just that he is the strongest. It's that he understands CE more than anyone seems to, even a Six-Eye user and someone like Kenjaku. Yet, we don't see him having to be clever, or use CE in interesting ways. He just ignores it and does what the plot needs him to: IE land a black flash on Maki to one-shot her like he one-shot every single other opponent including Gojo the moment he learned the back-pedal Slash.
I call it that because Gege has been trying to elaborate on and explain the World Cutter ever since it was used to kill Gojo off-screen. Now we know it requires chants conveniently lol, and maybe because of Yuji it can be deflected by Maki. Where-as Kashimo had to be told to dodge it and still got hit while in his enhanced state of being with the useless x-ray eye stuff that was built up for no reason by Gege. Not to mention I've heard people say he just used basic slashes to kill Kashimo, but it's not clear to me. Can he put the world cutter into a waffle-like web of slashes? Can he only do that with normal slashes and they were just enough to 1-shot Kashimo? None of it is consistent because Gege loves to not give us enough information to fully understand what is happening even 15 chapters after the fact. Supposedly we are waiting for panels to explain just how Gojo got hit by a slash that A.) Maki deflected/dodged and B.) Requires 3 chants to even use. I'm sure Sukuna will be revealed to have said the chants under his breath as he was crawling out of the rubble in the aftermath of the hollow purple that Gojo pulled off. A move that by the way was actually a clever use of jujutsu sorcery to try and get a dub. Rather than just "I send slashes at you from behind car".
So in conclusion, Kusakabe isn't doing anything most likely. In fact, it doesn't look like any of the cast can do anything. At this point it is clear that Gojo was far and away the strongest even after they all got a buff. Yet, he died in 1 shot and would likely die just as easily if he was brought back at full health to fight this current "allegedly" injured and nerfed Sukuna. There isn't a single content creator who can tell you reliably how Yuji is supposed to pull out a satisfying W in this story, and so I really don't get why Sukuna fans are this happy. It looks like the only logical outcome is Sukuna gets the Madara 2.0 treatment by the end of JJK, or the story ends on a depressing note that everyone except Sukuna fans hate.
