Great story. I love listening to conversion stories. I've been a Catholic my whole life and listening to stories like this I find very interesting and helpful. I'm 58 years old and I never really took the time to really learn my own faith, other than christianity in general and reading the Bible once in a great while but around the beginning of 2020 several things happened that thankfully finally fueled my interst and I'm still learning and growing and more grounded than ever, despite all the terrible and confusing things going on in our church right now. Our Catholic faith is deep and rich and there's so much to learn and understand. Mary played a very huge roll in at least the last 4-7 years in my interest or reversion as well thus the name Born Again Catholic. I'm sure you've heard this quote before but it's worth mentioning for those who haven't and it's one of my favorites: "To be deep in history is to cease to be protestant" ~John Henry Cardinal Newman~
Thank you, Mickey! I do find it interesting that even as a Lutheran, as a young man, wanted to come home to the Catholic Faith. I assume people think it is "so close" to Catholism, so why would they convert (although I understaned Lutherans are still Protestant)... God Bless You!
Lutheran Church Pastor Anna Helgen asked the congregation to stand in “body or spirit” to “confess our faith” in the “sparkle creed,”The church went on to chant a statement of faith in the “nonbinary God” and in Jesus Christ, “who had two dads.” “I believe in the nonbinary God, whose pronouns are plural. I believe in Jesus Christ, their child, who wore a fabulous tunic, and had two dads and saw everyone as a sibling child of God,” the church recited. “I believe in the rainbow spirit who shatters our image of one white light and refracts it into a rainbow of gorgeous diversity. I believe in the church of everyday saints, as numerous, creative and resilient as patches on the … quilt. Whose feet are grounded in mud and whose eyes gaze at the stars in wonder. I believe in the calling to each of us that love is love is love, so beloved let us love. I believe, glorious God, help my unbelief, Amen.
He was never in any other church my friend as there is no other church. He ‘s going from one tradition to another in the same church. He isn’t coming home. He was already home. To think otherwise is to gloat over a form of sheep stealing or in other words be a sectarian.

Thanks for sharing your story! And thanks for sharing that quote. It is so good!
Indeed...the Mother of God is always around when we call upon her name.
Amen. As always, thanks Oliveta for your comment. ❤️

Welcome home to the one true holy apostolic catholic church founded by Jesus Christ
