I totally agree silence everything. But figured this out the hard way, on my oval carabiner that I attach my bridge loop and Kong Duck to, I had to remove the tape on bottom inside where bridge loop rides because it hindered greatly the bridge loop sliding through when I turned at all.
I would recommend ripping the pieces in half if not into three separate long strips. Makes it a look a lot cleaner and is easier to get a tight wrap around the carabiner.
I do the same thing, but instead of using the full width self sticking tape, if you cut them length wise into 1 inch or less strips, it makes the turns much cleaner and you can get a more even layer without the bulky portions around the bends in the carabiner.
Bruh, anyone with OCD that watches you wrap that athletic tape just had an aneurysm! A lot of tape on there too, Sir.. the duck, or Safeguard isn't going to slip around on that black one...
