This interview of the legend Danny Dread is the most accurate and detailed that has ever been done. I truly hope he write the book because like he said and rightly so, this is only half the story. His memory is incredible.
The greatest sound system selector ever lived. He is the GOAT in Dancehall. Can't wait for this interview. Bless up yuhself Teach Dem
One more for the history books. Thank you immensely, again, for documenting the foundation persons in the reggae dancehall fraternity.
Teach Dem the I is a blessing to our culture and a breath of fresh air 🙏 🙌. Danny Dread is an icon and I'm so happy to hear his journey. I truly give thanks for the contents you bring to us on RUclips especially interviewing some of our greats.
Memory fluent & precise. ❤️ that.
Glad I was able to see him in action myself as a former clash woman and lover of music esp my Jamaican musical culture. Danny Dread is a piece of our musical history that Jamaica needs to appreciate. Teach Dem you soon reach global eh no cause you are creating a musical and historical encyclopedia. Love it! Respect to Danny Dread who brought decades of history to 2+ hrs. It was such an interesting interview to learn of the past and present. I personally know of King Addies and Trooper. Still a humble man. Look older but strong. Originator of one drop! Bless up Danny Dread and Teach Dem. Clear!
Danny Dread, remember a sound from Greenwich Farm name El-Toro.
Many Thanks Teach Dem. This is a real treasure. More strength and energy to carry on!
Wow, Teach finally hook Danny Dread: the inventor of the one-drop mix with tube amps before sounds started using mixers, the subject of the line in Bob's song "feel it in the one drop". From Atani, Socialist/Papa Roots to Addies, Danny Dread is the greatest selector from creation.
@Da Royal General Seen king
🤔
The legendary Danny Dread is undoubtedly one of the greatest sound system selectors that ever lived from King Atani, Socialist Roots,Stur Gav, Stereo Mars and from tube amps to mixer. He has made valuable contribution to our culture and should be given his honor before he departs.

Very nice interview to see a sound selected, of back in the day's. I alway's find great peace to hear the storie's of the past, and hardship they faced along there hard journey. They live to tell the tell the tale's and true storie's. He quite a funny little man. Well done Teachdem again.😉🇬🇧🇯🇲❤️. I really enjoyed this gentleman Danny Dread such great knowledge. These young artists don't know the hardship what the elder's went through to bring reggae to were it is now. Youngster's please respect your elder's alway's, because it's them make you all to eat food now. The old time artist are the best, their music and present's shall never die. Make music that will last for a life time, which most of you are making will never last. I love Sir Danny Dread.😉❤️❤️❤️❤️

Studio 54 DJ's Principal Grundy is the original principal. He has been around way before Charley Chaplin.
Is he the same Jah Grundy?
CLASSIC!!!!
Most of dudes I remember from those days. Were Goldie from water house. Wally dread, lipp from jungle. A lot more names I csnt remember now. Use to love those sessions. There was another sound system from water house. Called goal soul. The session where king tubbys was mess up, was in st. Thomas. The character was trinity. He's the one that kill tubbys that night. After that the king never come back on the road. Damn shame.
Scorcher.. not trinity..
