    I was at a gun show in L.A. in the 1970s. One table had a man making parts for a muzzle loading gun. Using just files, small forge and cold chisel he made a functioning flintlock for a Brown Bess style gun in about four hours.
    Knowledge of how to use small tools is more important then what tools you have. In 1986 I and two other guys skinned and butchered a buffalo with chert we broke in to small chips. We didn’t make flint knifes. just chips. And quickly worked up the carcass. Primitive tools and methods are not as primitive as many like to think.

I’m sure their dwellings weren’t anything that would stand the test of time, nor was the shame their departure brought on the Pharaohs something that they would want written about in their tombs. Besides that the Bible itself is evidence. there is no evidence? There is a book which has provided accurate information for tens of thousands of successful archeological digs, and that counts as nothing? To who? Also, there is evidence for the grain silos that Joseph had built.

      let's just say the bible was correct and these so called slaves fled as the bible says they did, well first off they couldn't have been slaves as they took gold and precious gemstones from the Egyptians so that means they took payment for their so-called work and couldn't have been slaves, so the book wrongly calls them slaves, the book has been proven wrong.

    Where did they get all the material to make the ark? This is answered in the Bible itself--they took it from the Egyptians
    Exodus 12:35-36
    And the people of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed from the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and garments;
    And the Lord gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent them such things as they required. And they carried away the wealth of the Egyptians.

      @tuberobotto 4 года назад +15

      @@xavierid well actually if you read the text, the key words are "God gave them favor in the eyes of the Egyptians", something which believers call "grace", a word that unbelievers would never comprehend. And the other one is "the Egyptians GAVE... ", something that would never have been possible on a national scale IF it were stealing, because the narrative also tells of the huge and formidable Egyptian army at the disposal of the king that could have instantly "corrected" such an illegal activity on the spot, though all that "borrowing" had the verbal permission of the king when he told Moses and Aaron "take all you need", things which also included livestocks. But notice that many many hours after the Israelites had fled from Egypt that this same army went in pursuit NOT BECAUSE OF THE TREASURES, but because the egomaniacal king wanted to force the Israelites back into slavery and teach them a lesson of his might which, as history would later show us, failed and he, the king, and his huge army drowned and perished in the red sea crossing in AL Aqaba where relics of chariot parts belonging to the same dynasty have been discovered.
      Archeology once again proves the Bible.

    The 2 bodies were as the 2 backs legs of the seat. The 2 opposite wings were spread out as a back to the seat, and the 2 other opposite wings were as armrests. This is the only logical seat I've seen that makes sense.

  • @rohnerw
    @rohnerw 10 лет назад +25

    It seems some, most, have missed the point of the video and its exercise. The question to be answered is, was the technology available to the Israelite people of a level, that would have allowed them to construct, an ark, as described in Genesis. Clearly, the answer is, with the technology that was available at the time, yes. If some believe the account is a myth or other is irrelevant to the exercise of determining, could it have been done.

    • @tuberobotto
      @tuberobotto 4 года назад +1

      While I fully agree with you on the availability and feasibility of the technology to the Israelites at that time, I am of the opinion that "proving" it is rather redundant and this video becomes moot and merely academic in it's purpose. Like catering to the millenials' lack of comprehension of history.
      Still though, I am glad it served it's purpose of visually explaining how it might have been done. It further tells us that mid bronze era people were not bereft of scientific knowledge and technology.

As I understand it, the lid of the Ark measured approximately three feet by five feet and three inches thick and was fashioned from pure solid gold. One cubic foot of gold weighs in at approx. 1,206 lbs. and there are over 2 cubic feet that comprise the lid alone. The Ark of the Covenant would have weighed in at well over 1 ton. How did two men carry that over vast distances using only two wooden carry rods while dressed in heavy insulation clothing?

    The Biblical story says they "borrowed" jewelries of silver and gold and raiments, from their Egyptian neighbors [EX11:2; EX12:35-36]... maybe their neighbors were leaving jewelry on open graves of loved-ones dying in the plagues... maybe the Jews were involved in healing crafts, cabala-solace, in addition to Moses' plague crafts... maybe they borrowed vicarious-avatar-jewels for a wilderness 'exorcism', but then did-not/could-not return.... (A reasonable 'guess' considering how many details need slight adjustment throughout the Bible: e.g. the Exodus number was of aleph-teams not thousands, though that, is, what a combat-aleph-team is worth; e.g. the number of years of Jacob/Israel's family in Egypt was only 238....)

They make fun of people who believe in God and that He is our creator yet they believe everything happened when nothing exploded and created everything! Goes completely against their own science that shows everything goes from a state of order to disorder. It takes far more faith to believe that nonsense than it does to believe in a creator.

    The Bible says that God would cause the Egyptians to be kindly disposed toward the Hebrews so that they would voluntarily hand over to them gold and precious gems before they departed Egypt. That was one way the Hebrews would have had such wealth as described not only in making the ark but in all the items of the Tabernacle.

    If the biblical text is too long to read; it wasn't just a group of nomads that left egypt, built some stuff, and wandered the desert for 40 years because someone lost a quarter... There were millions of them, with an army of six hundred thousand men alone. Twenty thousand men had the sole responsibility on moving the Tabernacle (Ark + Tent). These millions of slaves, plundering as they left, were joined by an uncounted number of egyptians, also plundering as they left. They traveled to other cities and regions, warring, razing, recruiting, looting, and screwing... for forty years because there were complications with the first generation that left, complications being that they decided to start worshiping a giant gilded cow, and thus the first generation was deemed unfit to enter the promised land where there was supposed to be no idolatry.
