I'm not really a Mario fan anymore. Don't have any of the current toys either. But the fact that this has so much stuff that I know from Yoshi's Story makes me feel like I need this as a stress reliever.
I think they are nice additions. But I find that the Yoshi's nose is a bit too high and it blocks some of his vision on the 12" model green one. The smaller models look more in proportion.
It’s honestly cool how the big Mario & Yoshi interactive figures have music from different eras of the series Yoshi has a lot of songs from the N64’s Yoshi’s Story, including the infamous Singing Yoshi Song. Surprising lack of Yoshi’s Island music but that’s not really an issue. While Mario has tracks from the New Super Mario Brothers games on Wii and Wii U, which are probably more familiar to kids who have played the Deluxe version on the Switch. Would have loved to see some music from Mario 64 or Mario Galaxy, but it’s still a great feature none the less! Definitely recommend these big guysb
I see less to critique on the 12” Yoshi versus the 12” Mario. It looks like they banged the sculpt out equally for both figures. What I find iffy with Mario is the cloth material used for his overalls. Like the smaller Mario figures I think they should have gone full plastic. The mixed material doesn’t do it for me. In general, what we see toy manufacturers doing or not doing can be corrected on the toy customizer’s end. For example, we see a nice thriving 3rd Party market for Transformers upgrade kits to fix the corner cutting shenanigans of Hasbro. Resin 3D printers have seemed to reach a level where we could just print the whole Yoshi mouth piece long tongue with apple/enemy, or Mario’s super cape. I know we can combine the two and lock certain joints in place with little loss to electrical function of the toy. Probably would need to add a weighted base platform as a stabling counter balance, ideally build it around a lazy susan turntable to give 360° access to all the buttons. The only motion function loss would probably be the action sound when Yoshi gets tipped over, but when we look at the 12” figures overall use and function, they are gonna spend most of their time sitting as a statue on a shelf anyway. I’m generally disappointed with Jaks handling of this amazing franchise. The Mario universe is vast and for 4 years now we keep getting the same characters. Surprised we got the Koopalings and the Princess paks, but overall, I don’t think Jaks has grasped the concept of army building. I would buy at the very least 3 of each enemy. No one needs to army build main characters. Even if Jaks remains with main characters, why limit themselves to Mario 3D World? Imagine main characters from Super Mario Bros. 2 or the roster line up from Super Mario Kart 1, Paper Mario characters. The thing is I know they can do it. Jaks has shown more initiative with the Sonic line in one year than they’ve shown with the Mario line in four years. Sad. Whomever’s in charge of the Mario line over at Jaks just aren’t fans. Maybe they don’t realize adults are buying their toys, and find it easier to just pump out repaints rather than use the 37 years of solid gold Mario material. They have the potential to make this the greatest toy line in history, but choose to just skate on by. Frustrating. Wish NECA Toys had interest in the Mario franchise because they’d show Jaks how to toy around and get paid.
Just a heads up…the targets near me in jersey have the catMario 3 packs on clearance for $8.49 Incase anyone is interested.
Congrats on 50k!
I find it rather clever for Nintendo to actually play the title screen of Yoshi's Story whenever you interact with the spikes of yoshi.

Hope find this amazing figure here in Brazil soon!!! Great review, +1 subscribe 👍🏼
I love the terrifiying intro for such a wholesome figure lol.
I don’t think Mario is punching back of Yoshi’s head I think he is pointing because if he is the Yoshi’s would’ve attack Mario
Google is free! And you’re wrong
It was a theory…

We need Donkey Kong now
Jakks should make extra packs with these like mario power up outfits or Yoshi tongue accessory and Mario riding harness with yellow cape
I hope we get a Luigi but i doubt it becasue of the movie.
I think i saw one from the same line
Any page that ships worldwide where I can get this giant Yoshi at? Please!

@@ToyShiz thanks but it says 'access denied'... :(
My gf just picked up yoshi for me!
You're the luckiest! :')
I was looking at the 3 pack. It looked poorly made. I bought a Mario lamp instead.
