No mention of the rumored FFT remaster, even though you included FF9 and for some crazy reason KH4 of all things?
Well I'm a big Final Fantasy fan and have been playing the games for over 3 decades now, but I don't play online games so I could care less about FF14, and KH3 was SOOOOO bad that it made me hate Kingdom Hearts now. So yeah...nothing here to be excited for except (hopefully) FF16 which I have a lot of skepticism given that FF hasn't been great since FF10.
@@DozenMarks I WOULD LOVE a tactics remake. No remaster, that's what WotL did already. I want a full HD 4k remake. Or even a new FF tactics but still in Ivalice and with the same combat and job system. I'd love that.

FF15 was supposed to be. the game is such a massive undertaking to convert properly to a modern style, I wouldn't hold your breath for it. Maybe someday after al lthe others.

I would ABSOLUTELY love this but I don't think they could do it with modern graphics just because *spoiler lol* midway when Kefka wrecks shit wouldn't translate well to realistic graphics and a family friendly rating. I would love an HD2D treatment like Octopath Traveler/Triangle Strategy though.
Final Fantasy 9 was so much slept on.
Yes, the 8th entry had the higher sales but also the worse reviews. The FF9 IS such a good game and I hope we get a remake and that the remake will delve deeper into each characters background - Freya has so much story potential and Red really needs one.

@@astrisperspecto4130 Buggyness is irrelevant, I never experienced a problem and they are all gone now. As for story/characters - You are entitled to you opinion, but all opinions are subjective. I never gelled with 9 characters at all. Objectively, 8 sold more - subjectvely, I preffered it 8. Therefore, 8 > 9.
@@Godonstilts 8 was riding on the success of 7, that's why the sales numbers are higher. The critiques are in favor of 9 though.
FF9 was only slept on because the ps2 was already out when 9 came out for the PS1 and 10 was coming out shortly after 9. Back then everyone wanted ps2 graphics amd voice acting

If it’s anything like the 7 remake, then I won’t buy it. I know a lot of people liked the 7 remake, but I didn’t like it. All the charm of the original was gone. I think it was better when there wasn’t voice acting all the time. The dub voice acting always sounds like shit.

@@NutInMyCrosshair I never finished the FF7 remake to be honest. I played half way through maybe. I realized I wasn’t having fun or enjoying myself really. So I stopped playing. I was thinking of picking it back up finishing the game though. See if my opinions or joy from the game may change. I was also all for a FF7 remake. Capcom is doing good remakes with the resident evil games. My point is I don’t have bias opinions on remakes.

My concept for a Final Fantasy game: "Season of the Witch - Final Fantasy VIII".
A prequel that tells the story of the first woman to receive the Witch Embodiment. You play as a party of three women and one man trying to bring a sense of order and hope to the world. At the halfway point of the game, one of the three women in the party becomes the Sorceress, and the man, her Knight. But, the decisions of the play determines who gets the power. One will use the power for good, one for evil and the third, the middle path; branching the game off into one of three completely separate storylines.
That would be cool i would to like to see more Edea and how witches operate in FF.
Ehhhh......keep the party equal....two women and 2 men. Give just two paths the go on but then again the witch embodiment wasn't seen as a good thing so all paths should to tragedy.

Unfortunately it's not, it's been confirmed that Crisis Core Reunion won't change anything in terms of the story,which means Zack will still be dead, after all this is just a remastered not a remake

I just watched a video by ProJared (I think that's his name) about how everything in FF7 is a minigame and it had me in stitches. I never thought about how even the most insignificant things were minigames.

We need a new Dissidia. One in the style of the original, but with all the characters Duodecim and NT added. I want to see banter between more characters, like Locke and Zidane, and adding more characters such as Leila (FF2), Edge (FF4), Celes (FF6), and Beatrix (FF9).
Despite knowing it's impossible, it would be cool something like the first one, with the classic characters plus the rest from Dissidia opera omnia

Final Fantasy IX all the way, it was the first FF game I ever played 5 years ago on the original playstation, and I fell in love with not only the game, but the series, it's still my favorite FF, I'm only 15 but I've learned so much from these games, and it would be a dream come true to see FF9 get it's own remake
Apparently the team doing these remakes want to do Dirge of Cerberus, they just have a lot they're working on already and there might be some things SE needs to figure out first

What I see, is all the imagination of the creators.
Everything they would've loved to do with the shackles of the 90's removed.
However, they now have the shackles of the past and everyone's expectations they have to meet as well.
I can't fault these guys for their take on things, all I can do is thank them for all the great games they've given me over the years. And hope it continues.

It's a good time to be a Final Fantasy fan, even if Nomura is turning everything into Kingdom Hearts. Rebirth is my most anticipated but I wish they would release FF 6 with trophy support for consoles.

I honestly don't think IX needs a remake. It stands still to this day not only a great intro for newcomers, including myself since it was my intro to the series, but still the best Final Fantasy to this day. Now that's not to say that it could benefit from a remake cause it could. They could maybe expand the world a little more and maybe dive into the actual history of the Forgotten and Lost Continents on Gaia, and dive more into the actual history of how Terra went from being technological advance to falling into its decayed state. more character development for Quina, Eiko, Freya, and especially Amarant. Perhaps more development for Kuja and maybe some backstory of us seeing Kuja scheme Queen Brahne in how she went from being a loving mother to Garnet, to a tyrant. Most importantly of all though, fix the trance system so that it doesn't trigger at the end of a battle and be done so manually. It would most certainly benefit but again, I don't think it's needed as the flaws of it is what already makes it a great game.

I've finished FF7 Remake for a while now. I've recently started my game on hard mode. On chapter 4 now. It's really challenging. I love the challenge though.
I'm looking forward to FF7 pt 2 and FF Crisis Core the most.
My favorite is FFIX but I gotta say FFVII is a very close second place.
It's sad that Square-Enix has forgotten it's old core fan and mostly abandoned it's old rpg combat system for a more action button smashing mess. I know it's popular now a day and I don't say but I've been a fan since the first FF on NES and have felt let down since FF12. 😔

It's simple. We veterans like turn based RPG, that's you and me and some few thousands. That's not gonna cut it for the sales, without sales = no more games. The idea here is to adapt the moden style without compromising the story elements, character and rpg elements Final Fantasy is known for and make a top tier game. Everyone was worried about FF7 remake butchering the series but it did not. It met expectations, most people were happy with the results
FF16 is being directed by the guy who works on FF14. As you know FF14 is by far the best in the series despite not being turn based but online, so even if ff16 is like DMC is still gonna feel good to play. If they go back to turn based, sales will be low because most of the new gamers will say the game is boring, slow paced and yada yada...see the picture? It's not square, it's the times and square is making the right business choices. They are not idiots.

Even though it's not a FF game it did have a tie to it. I know the team that worked on it is no longer there but still, I WANT XENOGEARS REMAKE!!! Cloud actually mentioned it when he was in that crazy stasis in that clinic. He said "Xenogais" while you talked to him when he was stuck in the wheelchair

I don't want ANY of them besides the PIXEL versions of FF1 to 6 to get a PS4/PS5/Switch port which Square Enix should have done THAT INSTEAD of just porting as a Steam/Mobile ONLY games.
There was an article I read maybe a month ago that seemingly confirmed all of the FFIX rumors were not for a remake. Rather, it’s being made into an anime series
Its only fitting that the third final fantasy remake game will be called reunion. Since that was the overall theme of the game.

Imagine playing this game on the PC years ago and having so much fun. Then because you're so happy you buy it on its first week of release at Walmart just to find out that it's only a third or even a 15th of the game worst 70 bucks I ever spent

@@Divide33 The start of FF8 was hideous same with the junction system. But thinking back on all the other FF games, FF8 has the most potential for a solid reimagining of the story and battle system. Hard to see, but FF8 has some serious underlying charm within it faults..

I don’t know what Square Enix were thinking with the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. The FF7 Remake should’ve been a copy and paste of the original game’s story, but with great visuals and stuff. I don’t expect these Fate things to exist, just the story that should have stayed the same.
It was said in an interview with the original creator of FFVII, that the story was more or less a mistake and that it was intended to come out the way it did. Hironobu Sakaguchi wanted FFVII to be a detective game, with the main protagonist coming after the people who blew up a portion of Midgar. It was scrapped though when most of the team choose to work on Chrono Trigger instead. So even the story we know as the original, was not how it first intended to be.

6 had one of the most intricate plots. It would be great to see it remade with new tech.
NICE! The combat system for FFXVI actually looks good. I honestly HATED the combat system for FFXV and the FFVII remake. It was monotonous, repetitive and annoying. They were desperately trying to make it an action rpg and failing terribly. I kept saying "If you're going to do it like this, at least make it like Devil May Cry!" And that's exactly what they're doing finally. At least I can look forward to FFXVI. I couldn't even get passed the first part of FFXV because I straight up hated the combat so much and wasted my money on that game.

It's about Freakin' Time Final Fantasy IX/9 FINALLY gets a Remake game soon! Can't wait to see that happening!

Tbh ff9 doesn't even need a full remake. Imo it aged very well, they just need to make the backgrounds look better and update character models and keep everything the same and it would pass off as a current gen title imo
Ff9 is my second fave ff game. First veing ff10. Ff9 just has a very solid nostalgic memory for me. I was a kid and had just bought my friends ps1 so he can save for the new ps2. My cousin and I went to best buy and I told him I heard final fantasy 7 and 8 are pretty cool. He came out of the store with ff9. I was pretty disappointed. Buuuuut after playing it, it was really fun. It really embodies everything great about ff games.
Given the 9 remake rumors are based on a leaked list of games either in development or were planned for development it's far more credible than many games that were rumored but fell flat.
final fantasy vii ever crisis reminds me a bit of final fantasy xv pocket edition (in execution that is)
I literally just finished ff9 the other day and would much prefer a remake of it over pretty much everything else on the list, I want the characters to get more complete stories (like I feel that Freya's kinda just ends abruptly and I didn't even know any of her people survived to the post game)

Just finished rebirth today and I dont know what to play now. I dont wanna jump back in to finish some side quests I left because it doesn't feel right yet. Next game is so far maybe I will play some kingdom hearts
Played CC:FF7R for 4 hrs this morning, so far I saw few changes to the base game.
I will not be happy if, like Before Crisis, Ever doesn't ultimately become available in the US. Square has been kind of flaky in the past, especially with their mobile titles.
Before Crisis came out before their smart phones and unified operating systems. We should be fine.
ff9, but no ff8, my fav, probably highly unlikely, but such an underrated game, as i think it also deserves the remake treatment, they could fix the issues on that game - ie - junction system, and some of the story elements/characters in that game.
I think the third entry will be called "Resurrection" for Sephiroth's return

I was hoping that the remake Final Fantasy 8 because one of the things I didn't like about the game is that all the characters were mute.

Only Squaresoft would start a remake with multiple installments, releasing it on multiple systems. First part - ps4
Second part to be released - PS5 exclusivity (no PS4 RELEASE)

Way to get rid of microtransactions by making somebody not only purchase each portion that they put out for $60 but you'll have to also spend it at least $600 roughly give or take along with that price for the new system just to play it.
