    This is our 30th video and this month celebrates our 2nd year making videos on RUclips. Thank you all for making this possible!
    This video walks through how to replace the Hydraulic fluid, HST filter and Hydraulic filter on the Kioti CS2410. We walk you through the steps needed to do each part of the job and the tools required to do it. As always are videos are rough cut and in first person because we make videos to help people with vehicles and are not professional camera operators or film editors. If you have any questions or comments please drop them in the comment field and we will answer them as soon as we can. also if anyone has lead to common auto parts store filters for the ones in the video we are interested to hear what they are.
    The links listed below are paid links that help fund the channel. When you make a purchase through them we get a amount small monetary compensation. We have set these list up to make it easier for you to get the job done quickly.

    Great video, I just purchased a BobCat CT 1025 that looks identical to the Kioti CS 2410. I think I will follow your maintenance videos instead of trying to find similar Bobcat videos. Very well made video indeed.

      That's awesome, thanks for subscribing. We don't have any planned at the moment but i would like to do a fuel filter video and maybe a lube point video. We do have a ton of other content coming soon.

    Thanks for this - some lovely soul (previous owner or someone working on it) never reinstalled the guard over my hydraulic filter so it got bashed while bush hogging on a particularly rough part of my trails. Hoping it's just the filter itself that broke and made all the hydraulic juice fall out, if it broke internally or ripped threads I'm pooched. Really looking forward to a field repair in the dirt.

      @SKPcars  11 месяцев назад

      Oh man those are rough, sorry to hear that. As long as the thread shaft for the filter isn't bent or broken you should be ok. I doubt it would break the internals. If it did that, the guard wouldn't have helped. If the threads are messed up you could probably chase them. Good luck, thanks for watching. We haven't had much need to make more video for our but we do have some that may help with other tasks.

    Good video! I have a 2410 with about 90 hours and noticed a slow drip only when its running thats coming from the smaller Hydrostatic filter bracket. Havent changed any filters since new..any idea what it could be?. Thinking about trying to snug the filter a bit tighter to see if that stops the drip.

    • @SKPcars
      @SKPcars  2 года назад

      The original filters shouldn't leak unless they hit something. If you are sure it is the filter you may have change it. You might get lucky with tightening but it could make the leak worse. If you are not sure its the filter, make sure there is no oil above it. Leaks make their way down, you may have a different issue going on. Thanks for watching.

    In the intervals where only the filter is replaced not the fluid, such as at 50 hrs, does the fluid pour out while replacing the filter? If the bucket is in the air to have room to work will that force the fluid out faster?

    • @SKPcars
      @SKPcars  Год назад

      Personally i don't like to just do the filter change outs like that. I live in an dirty dusty area everything gets dust in it. When i did the change out at almost 150-200 hours everything looked good, Oil and filter wise. I think the only 50 hour change out that should be done is the engine oil. If you drop the filter you will dump a lot of the oil anyway better just to do it all at once. The only way you will get enough to drain it and work under it is raising the tractor up. I used a large drain pan that is most why it was in the way. If hope this answered your questions if not feel free to ask more.

    So there is 1 fill up for both the HST and Hydraulic but 2 filters?

    • @SKPcars
      @SKPcars  Год назад +1

      Yes that is correct. You are filling the reservoir for both but the filters act for different parts of the hydraulics.

    When you put oil in a filter to install it new that oil isn’t filtered?
    And I’ve read to not do that when I had a truck and the caterpillar manual said to not do that for the reason of it not being filtered and there will always be enough left to lubricate the milliseconds it takes for filtered fluid to circulate.
    Not to mention sometimes spilling oil when putting the filter on depending on the angles as such what.
    All it does is save a minute or two to top it off.
    I know if you go about anywhere and get your oil changed they top off the filter when replacing it.
    I just figure caterpillar knows more than a shortcut mechanic.

      I have always done it for 2 reasons. It keeps fluid in the system and to avoid hydro-lock. Now i have never seen it happen in a Hydraulic system but keeping oil in the system helps move air bubbles in the system to the tank. I have seen instances where oil doesn't pump through an engine because the oiling system won't prime without oil, causing an engine to fail. Generally, in those cases even a little oil would have started the prime, avoiding a blown motor. The amount of not filtered oil is about as negligible as the amount its helping to lube. I would always recommend following whatever the maunal says. Thanks for the comment always humbling hearing that 30+ years working on cars makes me a short cut mechanic.

    It's there any way to check the level, like a sight glass, weep hole or dipstick?

    • @SKPcars
      @SKPcars  2 года назад +1

      There is no sight glass. There may be a weep hole but i am not sure. I will have to check and get back to you.

    • @SKPcars
      @SKPcars  2 года назад +1

      As far as i can tell there is no weep hole either. Just have to make sure you put in the correct 13 liters.

      You should open your eyes. There's a small dipstick on the right hand side. Rubber handle on the top of it and thats your indication for your fluid fill unless your model magically doesn't have one but mine does.
