This was more of a trauma reaction than a true kiss of romance. Damon is still in his feelings about him and Thea's breakup and the passing of his dad. Just an overflow of emotions.
If Simone & Damon do get together it will not be anytime soon. She does have genuine feelings for Lando.
She does have feelings for Lando and he has feelings for Thea but they definitely also have feelings for each other. They always have and always will

This wasn't "the kiss" - this was "A KISS" - - when one is going through a lot of pain and hurt emotions are all over the place. This happens a lot. Trauma does that. And you can see from the promo that they even recognize that. So again- THIS is NOT "the kiss". It was "a kiss" and IS NOT RELATED to any "feelings" between them but rather a reaction to all the trauma Damon has not expressed outwardly since the breakup with Thea whom he ACTUALLY REALLY LOVES despite what y'all think about it - and his dads death.
They (him & simone) are not getting together no time soon.

EXACTLY. Don't get me wrong , as an OG Dimone shipper , this moment was a breath of fresh air because we BEEN waiting for this since All American. But I also believe they got caught up in it and I feel like Simone would be the one to say something like "we just got caught up in the moment, you and Thea broke up, you just lost your dad" etc etc. I do believe it'll put a lot on her shoulders too because Lando's not just a stranger anymore

ALSO him and Thea spoke about that because Thea was concerned early on and HE SAID THAT HIS FEELINGS FOR HER WERE FOR HER. Damon made it CLEAR to Thea that his feelings were indeed love NOT trauma. That's why their relationship moved forward.
I'm not looking at facts not feelings.
I get how folks love certain pairings - this is not about Lando vs Damon.
This IS ABOUT an overflow of emotions of pain. And the FACT IS. That it wasn't the kiss anybody wanted. That would be a huge mistake for the writers to push foward - a relationship built on so much grief. And I for one don't want that for either of these characters.
Let Simone continue crafting her game on the court and dating Lando and let Damon sort out his emotions in therapy - THE RIGHT WAY.

It was calm at 1st then u went in on Damon lol. You make a good point thou. The writers don’t have to put Damon and Simone together just because that seemed to be where it was heading in season 1. Come to find out him and thea have great chemistry and look nice together. I think all her innocence and hidden sweetness should be handled with care from someone genuine, and that’s how they played Damon’s character when he was with her.
He was sensitive and understanding about those elements.

• Thea’s gonna flip her shit once she finds out about Damon and Simone and their relationship/rivalry/semi-friendship will be back to square 1. AGAIN. (hell, a fight between those 2 is long overdue as well lol)
