Seriously, why do teachers not explain it simply like this, I was so confused, they just like explained in words what join is, and then write sql and show it and then I just have no idea what happened. Great visual.
I know people say this in nearly all programming/comp sci videos but yours was hands down the best explanation for this concept! I was only finding videos explaining the SQL but I am not learning that yet in my class so I didn't find it useful watching tutorials on it. Keep rows matching condition (USING/ON) Left Join 1. Cartesian product created 2. Keep rows matching condition (USING/ON) 3. Left join (add back left table unmatched rows, assign them to null) Most important part is that every JOIN starts with Cartesian product, then some filtering + variation
