just wanted to say I appreciate the high quality content you upload on the channel. as an Adidas fan for more than 20 years and with most of the shoes in my rotation being Adidas, this content is even more useful and insightful. thanks and looking forward to more interesting content!
Im new to Adidas running shoes. And after two years of Nike and saucony, I like what adidas shoes are doing to the body while running. I feel more in control of the pace and more calm than in Nike or saucony. I get more groundfeel with adidas and my body is not that stressed. It first feels less exiting but when I’m on a serious workout I feel that it saves Cns energy and I can push longer. On 1k reps on the track I started strong and could just hold the effort on a Nike streakfly. After some reps energy went down. Compared a adios 8 I could hold the pace consistently for more reps with a controlled feeling. But I had lots of problems to find the right size. At the end I’m exactly in adidas recommendation. But on the internet and shop everyone tells you to size up in some adidas shoes like adios pro 3. I cannot say this.
Adidas sizing has really changed in the past 2-3 years. The old recommendation of size up half a size (mostly due to width, not length) doesn’t apply anymore. Adidas in TTS for me, but some even go down half a size. The Adios 8 has one of the best fits of them all actually. I really enjoy that shoe and can’t wait for the Adios 9.
Great video. Thank you. I recently found a pair of AP2s in a bargain bin and in my second run with them set a new 21.1km PB. In my opinion, the Rods 1.0 provided a more aggressive fast ride, but with a lot less stability than the pretzel unit. AP3 = best marathon shoe, as it is more forgiving when your form slides
The Energy Rod 1.0 was always problematic from me. It could feel like the shoe was folding in half sometimes. I also found the actual rods made themselves more apparent under your foot and you’d feel them more often. I was never a huge fan of them. With Energy Rods 2.0 I’ve never had any of those issues, or any issues at all. For my feet they are a much better system across the board on the Boston 12, Takumi Sen 10 and Adios Pro 3, which I find all quite aggressive respectively when needed…
"Trial and Error" I had to do surgery on my Pro 3 and removed the lower interior lace loop knot that was giving me blisters over my big toe knuckle. Then switched to lock laces so I had no heel slippage and I can finally run in them without issues. I haven't done a long run in them yet. Perhaps I should have went up a 1/2 size. Looking forward to the 4.
Ya, I’ve seen all sorts of creative solutions to the eyelet chain on the AP3. It really says something about how good the shoe is to run in when a whole little DIY industry popped up to “fix” the upper…
Adios Pro Evo 1 = Hardcore Competition Regulated Track Car (Ferrari 499P) Adios Evo C = Hardcore Derestricted Consumer Track Car (Ferrari 499P Modificata) Adios Pro 4 = Hardcore Road Legal Track Car (Aston Martin Valkyrie) Prime X2 Strung = Hardcore non Competition Legal Road Car (like the Mercedes AMG One, because of the somewhat pure F1 engine cannot be the base of any legal sport, unless they change the engine)
AP3 Great shoe! 800+ training miles on first pair. Got started on the second pair. The first pair, still seems would last another 1000 miles. Not sure how the rods would be inside it though. Are they broke or still intact no way to know, I m going probably stop using it after 800. Eagerly waiting for AP4, I hope they move the rocker bit back like the Evo1. I ran on Evo1 and 9.5 fits me perfectly and the rocker position is perfect as compared to the AP3, which I got the size 10.
The rods will tell you then are broken if you hear a clicking noise. It’s very obvious when you hear it. As for the geometry of the AP4…. It looks very similar tot eh Evo1, which is very exciting.
AP3 - Great shoe for longer intervals/tempo work. I find it a little overbuilt for shorter, faster stuff, but that's not it's purpose... Obviously Takumi Sen for that stuff
The Takumi Sen 10 has a redesigned heel cup. I never suffered from heel slip in previous Adizero models… but the TS10 feels noticeably more secure, even for me. The AP4 looks to be similar to the Evo 1 in the heel cup and the Evo C looks much more padded than any previous Adizero model, beyond the SL.
Great review, love the AP3 so much! Excited and a little scared for the AP4 as from the leaked image, im a little bit worry that they wont be using full continental rubber as AP3.
It seems to still be Conti rubber, though a very different application of it. I’m curious to learn what they are doing there. I have a few ideas as I’ve studied those photos quite a bit… but look forward to Adidas’s tech deep dives.
How would you compare the Adios Pro 3 to the Vaporfly 3? I’m thinking of changing from my Vaporfly 3 to an Adios Pro 3, or possibly the Takumi Sen 10, for HMs and FMs. I’m a slow runner btw, just want enough cushioning and some energy return via plate or rods, and the Takumi Sen 10 seems most appropriate since I kinda prefer a not so high stacked shoe, or maybe the Boston 12 🤔. And I’m currently using my PEGS39 as my daily trainer, 700kms in, and probably thinking about getting the PEGS41 when I retire the old one. Thanks!
Well, the AP3 compared to the VF3 will be firmer, less sink, more rolling and a bit more stable. The TS10 is great, but maybe a bit hardcore for a FM. I'd have no issues using it for a HM, it's like a VF2, but that last 10k of a FM would be rough. I'd appreciate the VF3 or AP3 there for sure.
Thanks for the insight! Would the B12 be kind to the feet towards the tail end of an FM? My current rotation is Peg39 for daily, ZF5 for LSD and some pace sprinkled in there and VF3 for raceday but ive been leaning towards the ZF5 for racedays now (HMs & an FM) for more stability and comfort, so raceday shoe is kinda vacant and im thinking about jumping ship to the 3 stripes 😅
@eby61mss the B12 is fine but a MASSIVE downgrade from the VF3. It’s a massive upgrade from the ZF5 for long runs and tempo work…. But not as a race shoe. Stick with the VF3 or the AP3 for that.
Great video, I’m new to your content but has become one of my favorite channels in the past weeks! I have a question I want to get Adios Pro 3 for my next race in sep, but I’m hesitant on size I’m usually 9.5 us but with AP3 I feel it to big on the toe box and the sides, but the 9us I feel it to tight, any recommendations on this? I also have Boston 12 and it’s a size 9 and fits perfect. Thanks for your comments and great content!
The AP3 should have a race for and be tighter than a trainer… however the eyelet chat in can be problematic, especially the lower two eyelet loops… so you want to make sure they are giving the top of your foot too much pressure. I wear the same size, US men’s 9, across the AP3, B12, A9… I’d always got smaller tighter for a race shoe, as long as you don’t have extra pressure points. The thing about the AP3 upper is that it won’t stretch… at all. But the shoe overall does loosen and “give” once LSP breaks in a bit.
I want to get a pair of Adios Pro 3 but not sure the size I need. I have the Prime X Strung 1 in size 11 and love it, but I have the Takumi Sen 9 in size 11.5 and love it. Which of these do you feel has the similar length fit as Adios Pro 3?
A version of the Takumi Sen 10 upper on a midsole platform that is based on the Adios Pro 3 with the tweaked geometry of the Adios Pro Evo 1 would be pretty good. I think the Adios Pro 4 needs to reduce the weight though somewhere. The AP3 is a solid workmanlike shoe with extremely good durability but the weight is the weakness. In my size 13 it needs to be at least 35g lighter -- which means it somehow needs to weigh what the TS 10 weighs.
Agree about the weight. I'm a UK13 (US13.5) and have a few pairs of the Pro 3. They vary in weight but average around 285g. Need to be closer to 250g to be competitive I think.
The AP4 seems to be doing just that on the weight front. I don’t expect Vaporfly 3/Metaspeed Edge Paris weight… but it should be much closer. Hearing your guys with big feet talk make me happy I’m a US Men’s size 9. 😎
The Prime X isn’t a race shoe. At best it’s a long run shoe. It’s more of a development platform for Adidas. I’d 100% pick any generation of the Adios Pro to race any road race.
Hi sir, what shoe can you advise for me, similar to the fit, comfort, and response of the adios pro 3? Im using adios pro3, takumi sen 10 and NB rebel v4, but the adios pro 3 is the shoe that is best for me during my runs. the fit and comfort of rebel v4 for me is ok, but response is not there, may be because its not plated compared to adios pro 3. The takumi sen 10 hurts my shin when I'm doing tempo and intervals, but when I do my LSD, tempo, and intervals on my adios pro 3, it is no problem at all..
@gomezea2 ok. Those are two very different needs for shoes. Plus you already have the Adios Pro 3, that’s your race day shoe. I’d look at either the Adidas Supernova Prima as a LSD shoe or the Asics Superblast (or the Superblast 2 coming next month) for a LSD shoe that you can casually race in.
I started watching your content a few weeks ago and just wanted to say what an amazing channel this is. The holistic approach you take when discussing running shoes is a cut above anything else I’ve seen on RUclips. One query/question on the Pro Evo’s midsole foam. I have heard you mention a few times that it is PEBA based. Is that known for certain? I thought there was virtually no information from Adidas on what it is. I think one of the major selling points from Adidas’ perspective is that the Lightstrike Pro in the regular Adios Pro line isn’t PEBA. The fact that they went in a different direction with TPEE is to be commended, and frankly I prefer it to PEBA. I’d be disappointed if they joined their rivals in using a PEBA variant in their performance shoes. In a way it would feel like a step backwards for the brand.
I did a video on their PEBA foam and how we know. Adidas Adizero Adios Pro Evo 1 Revisited ruclips.net/video/93m7C4x8Z6s/видео.html It’s clean PEBA has won, at least for this generation. I do agree with you that part of the appeal of Adidas is LSP being non PEBA. I’m curious how they will manage the transition or having the two materials side-by-side. It’s why the AP4 is so interesting as I think it has both (we shall see when we get official info). Thank you for the kind words on the channel! 🙏🏻
@@SagasuRunning thanks for the reply and video link. I bet you were delighted to have had that conversation! The Pro and Takumi Sen lines are very popular in my club because they feel like they go on forever. I think the Pro 3 is more popular now than ever, partly in my opinion because people have come to realise that the shoe can be trusted to perform near its best for multiple races. The value for money factor is a big deal for the everyday runner and I do believe is a differentiating factor for Adidas’ performance shoes. Maybe Adidas have got this “all worked out”. Part of it might be my own disbelief that any brand can actually do better than Nike with a PEBA compound… but maybe we are already witnessing this occur in the mass market with Asics’ new Metaspeed offerings.
Definitely, the AP3 is great value for money. The shoe is (nearly) indestructible. I’m also curious how much Adidas favorites this in with the AP4. I agree, it’s a big decider for a lot of runners. ZoomX has been the gold standard PEBA… but other brands are going their own direction now. Not just trying to make their own ZoomX, instead engineer a PEBA unique to their tech stack. The feel of the foam in the Evo 1 is very different than LSP or ZoomX, but much closer to ZoomX than what Asics has. FFTurbo+ from Asics is good, very good, but what is making the new Metaspeeds so fast is a combo of the new (better) foam and the geometry. I’m having quite a bit of success right now with the Edge Paris in the Threshold running I have been doing.
Cool stuff! Thank you. Btw, you mentioned you supinate. I do too! Do you have a video on how you fixed it? I saw a video that it's not a shoe issue but can be fix through habit (?). Curious how you're managing it if you still do. My pinky bone hurts a lot after a long run or fast pace short run, I recover more than 24hrs (even after doing ice bath on my foot) thus making me skip some days. Planning to get NB1080.
I don’t over-supinate and find it fairly natural to land on the outer edge of your foot, as long as it roles inward (that is the natural biomechanical movement). The only time it ever was an issue for me was years ago when I was learning how to forefoot strike (from heel striking). It took alot of Nike strengthening to not let it get out of hand. I also trail run quite a bit. Nothing keep your ankles strong and your proprioceptive feedback in tune than technical trails.
I think the rumors of poor durability with the original Pro 4 makes complete sense after the release of the Pro Evo 1. It’s one thing to buy a super limited $400 Pro Evo 1 that only lasts one race, but if the mass marketed new Pro 4 started to breakdown sooner than the Pro 3 and other competitors, there would be a lot of customer backlash.
Based on the photos they released of the first protos, that I have in this video, my guess is that they were breaking rods, tearing holes in the uppers and having issues with outsole durability. None of which is good for a consumer race shoe… especially coming off of the AP3 which is a bit of a tank when it comes to durability.
The Adios Pro 3 is fantastic, especially after you break in the foam a bit. But it is definitively a full marathon shoe, and therefore not directly comparable with the vaporfly in my opinion but more so the alphafly. Lightstrike Pro is amazing, but the energy rods break too easily. Adidas should widen the rods in my opinion to make them stronger, if they refuse to go for an actual plate. I am really excited to try the Pro Evo C!
I’ve talked a lot about how delicate the rods are as a bit of a problem for Adidas smoking forward with softer foams. All those videos are linked in the description. I agree with you on the AP3 comparison to the Alphafly. The Takumi Sen is closer to the Vaporfly, though it doesn’t have the same range.
Interesting video and exciting times. I have a pair of Pro 3s that I picked up in a sale, great shoe but not keen for the upper so this shoe is reserved for workouts. Also seen leaked images of the Pro4, when do you think it'll be released?
I mean… none of them honestly. They are all unstable for that type of road. The AP3 is a good choice (even with the issues mentioned)…. The Endorphin Pro 4…. And honestly the Asics Superblast is a good option due to the width.
Looking forward to the Pro 4 (Evo C?). Curious why Adidas is potentially releasing a consumer version of the Evo, which would compete with the Pro 4. Anyhoo, also looking forward to the June releases. Thx, Chris.
It’s as I was saying in my last video. It gives them a platform to push the next generation development concepts without driving the price up too much on their main market racer. Adidas has Evo and Nike has Elite.
I like the Pro 3 except the upper (where that lace hoop is at) gives me blisters on top of my foot. Have been waiting for the Pro 4, but all Adidas been doing is just different colorways. I also enjoy the Prime X Strung. But so far, Adidas has been keeping the Strung upper exclusive to the Prime X series. If they make a version of Pro 3 with the Strung upper, I would definitely buy a pair.
The string upper is development. We will likely never see a full strung upper on a real race shoe, it’s too heavy and awkward fitting. However, I do think we will see strung fiber reinforcing ultra lightweight upper meshes in strategic locations. I think that is the value of strung for Adidas ultimately.
On my 4th pair of Adidas Adios Pro 3. It's a PR machine. Going to be hard to beat even by Adidas themselves, likely why they have spent so much time refining the Pro 4.
4 pairs. Wow. I went through 3 pairs of Vaporfly 3s last year but they are much durable. I agree, Adidas know they have to get the AP4 right. Which is partly why they killed the first version. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
@@theaviatroy For races I like to have less than 200KM on a pair so they feel fresh on race day. After they go into the workout rotation for tempo days or long runs and can go a good 4-500KM before they start to lose their bounce. Weight, stride, and cadence are also major factors in a shoes longevity especially with race shoes.
@@Powellcon_ thank you and I like that tip for gradually decommissioning race shoes! Unfortunately I only have Takumi Sen 9s available near me at a discounted €100. Do you think it's a good substitute for race day?
@@theaviatroy TS9 would be a great racing shoe for 5/10KM, however, my preference for all races is still the AP3. TS promotes that higher cadence and turn over with the lower drop, but AP3 is going to give you higher stack and more bounce and protection.
Don't have the adios pro 3. But i had adios pro 2 for a long time. think i manged to have 1500 km until two of the rods broke. Have been waiting for 4 to come out. but seems like that is going to be next year :/
I have started seeing spring 2025 rumors on it lately...but I can't see that. I still would expect a fall 2024, in time and around the Berlin Marathon...
I’m seeing something similar in my data, though the Metaspeed Edge Paris is still the fastest (most efficient) super shoe I own right now…. Though it’s very close.
I'd recommend the Prime X2 Strung for an even better running experience. Yes it's slightly more weight, but it's more than made up for by the much higher stack, carbon plates, and comfortable upper. It sits right in the middle of Pro 3 and the Evo, in terms of how premium and well-equipped it is. The consumer Adizero line would go (from lowest stack to highest): Takumi Sen --> Pro --> Prime X. The Evo is in the elite line.
But, as I have said many times on the channel, the Prime X isn’t a race shoe. It’s a development platform for Adidas to explore upper and cushioning technologies. As a concept shoe it’s interesting… but it’s also not the style of shoe I enjoy. That being said… if we see a PX3 I might finally cover it given just how much tech Adidas is exploring in it…
As someone who has gotten on really well with the PXS, I couldn’t help wonder how that does/does not correlate to the Pro 3. I wasn’t a fan of the Pro 2 - just wasn’t comfortable to me and felt a bit harsh in later miles. I have hesitated to try the 3, but am reconsidering based on my enjoyment of the PXS. Thoughts?
The PXS is not a race shoe. It’s a volume trainer. Adidas has never intended it to be used for racing. I know some do use it for that but that was not the design intent. I’d say give the AP3 a try, especially if you can find a deal on it. It’s much more substantial than the AP2 was and sits somewhere between the AP2 and PX in feel.
This progress is very interesting for the geek in me, but I cannot hold myself back from thinking that if you give to any current top marathon runner (both on the male and the female side) let say the og pro or pro 2 they will run pretty much the same times as with the evo or pro 3.
I am also looking forward to Adios Pro 4 and see how I might like them after never really enjoyed the Pro 3 as I tend to prefer the “sink-in” feeling of the Zoom X as you described. After our interactions with the automobile analogy in your previous video. I think I found a category of car that might be closer to what Evo 1 meant to be. Ferrari has a line of car which they only offer to their VVIP customers. I believe they are know as Fxx series. These cars I believe are not street legal cars and are meant for track days only. These cars can be owned but they are being kept with Ferrari. Ferrari can go a bit extreme with the modification. When these cars are being driven on the track, they get feedbacks from a different group of “test drivers” (a.k.a. customers) and see how they might be developed for future super car developments.
I was always a ZoomX racer, but recently my tastes are changing. I prefer a firmer platform. I blame the Metaspeed Edge Paris and the Adios Pro 3. Yes, I forgot about that program they offered. That is a good analogy. (I'm not really a car fan. I'm an F1 fan and used to follow auto racing much more than I do. So all of these programs I am vaguely aware of.)
@@SagasuRunning that is good to know. I have been watching F1 since 1995 and been a Tifosi when Schumi went to Ferrari. Became a Mercedes fan when he came out of retirement and helped build the team. Then I started to follow Lewis Hamilton. Now that he is going to Ferrari in 2025, I guess the Tifosi in me is making a return.
@@willwu1688 I started watching F1 around 2001. I’ve always been more of a driver fan than constructor. Jarno Trulli, Kimi, Jenson Button, Alonso… more recently I follow George Russel, Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc. I think I’ve had more Ferrari of BAR kit than any other. I also got into LMP and GT3 cars for a bit about 15 years ago. I only really follow F1 now via post race highlights on F1YT.
I'd imagine the Evo C (if it is indeed "consumer") has a midsole that's formed in molds rather than machined like the Evo-1 I also have that non died colorway of the Pro-3, I am amazed by how easy it is to clean that shoe.
Agree on the moods PEBA midsole. That’s the only way they can scale it for a real consumer release. The thing about the Celermesh 2.0 upper is that even if it was rough on your foot it cleans very easily… and stays very clean.
I have similarly grown to like the Adios Pro 3 and got 229 miles on my pair now although it is a shoe have tended to use on and off these past 2 years and even sometimes just for easyish runs as well as faster ones. Kind of let down by a sloppy upper that took many runs before getting a lockdown OK but otherwise is holding up very well. It is just a bit heavier in my UK 13.5/US 14 to be a contender for any of my races however. Hopefully v4 will address both issues but if there is a "consumer" Evo one will it end up like the other Pro 4 (Endorphin) and be that shoe you think I don't really need/want given I already have the Elite one so I never got that Pro 4.
I can’t imagine how your foot comfortably fits in the AP3, it’s so wide. I remember the AP1 was narrow though, classic Adidas fit. Did you ever run in that? I remember you have the AP2 though. Good analogy on the Endorphin Pro/Elite… I can see them slinging hair like that. I’ll be curious how it plays out for them. I’m also curious which should their Elites will pick and why.
@@SagasuRunning Fortunately after some lace pulling, the AP3 feels a lot "narrower" than say an Ultrafly, Alphafly and of course Rebel v4. I had the AP1 and AP2 but only a size down in a US 13 as that's the biggest they did. Both perhaps ran a fraction "long" so I could at least get a feel for them. Not worn the AP1 since pulled my hamstring on the treadmill one time although don't think was really shoe related. Would have liked to have tried the AP2 in my "TTS" as I think I slightly preferred that one over the AP3 - perhaps as the lockdown felt better laterally although it ought to being smaller in length and of course all shoes get wider as they get longer.
@TimGrose I see. Interesting. I wouldn’t think the AP3 gave a good fit. Even with the socks I found they give me pain free running in them the fit isn’t ideal… it’s not awful… but far from ideal.
The AP3 is my favorite “plated” shoe ever. I’m excited for the release of the 4, but I’m stocked up on the 3. For me, it’s been an extremely versatile shoe. As many positive reviews you see for all the Adizero line even with the finicky uppers, imagine how well they’d be perceived if adidas got that dialed in even just a little better.
So far I haven't liked any of the others than the OG..it was one of the best uppers I ever owned..I always thought that the OG pro was the most comfortable of the line..
Ah, the original Celermesh upper! I agree, it was great. It was also the same upper material used on the Adizero Pro. It was definitely or the same era as Vaporweave from Nike, both excellent.
I don’t think so. The Evo 1 will be what is on the feet of Adidas Olympic Marathoners (I have seen leaked gold color-ways too). I’d expect everything to be announced in the run up to Berlin. Around the same time the Evo 1 came out last year. Olympic years are odd though so you never know.
I'm just sad that Adidas is slowly killing the normal Adizero Adios line in most countries. The last Adios I have used w as s the Adios 7 and they don't plan to bring either the 8th or the 9th version to South America. Instead they want the public here to get the Adizero SL instead. It launched early in here and later in USA for example. I had the Adidas Adizero SL and it was the worst fast running shoes I ever had from Adidas. Bad grio, super bad upper ( no longer snug in my size), extremely bad comfort from the middlesole and much less bounce and nimble vs. The Adios 6 or 7. The new SL 2 is coming soon and most problems should be resolved, but not the Continental grip for toe off greatness ! I'm mad with Adidas in 2024 ! If messing with the Adios was not enough, they did not launch a new Ultraboost yet and it seems that the SolarGlide line is also dead. I much preferred the SolarGlide line vs Gel-Nimbus, Invincible, Wave Sky ,etc. If I coukd only pick one. Give us the SolarGlide 7 with Light Boost , Adidas ! Most durable running shoes in the world !
I’ve head this that the Adios is no longer available in SA. That’s an odd choice by Adidas. I struggle with shoe releases here in Taiwan, but Adidas is pretty good about putting everything out here (especially though we don’t get Terrex at all). We also got the SL here early. Hopefully the same is true with the SL2. I don’t pay any attention the the boost lines from Adidas. I do know that they seem to be trying to get more people into the updated Supernova series, especially with the new max stack model coming out.
I swing back and forth ever few years. For 2024 I’m definitely in a heavy Adidas swing. Their 2024 lineup is outstanding. But my heart will always be Peg/Vaporfly at some level…. But SL/Adios Pro is pretty close at this point.

For my feet they are a much better system across the board on the Boston 12, Takumi Sen 10 and Adios Pro 3, which I find all quite aggressive respectively when needed…
i actually preferred the 2 over the 3. it was faster for me. but the 3 is far more durable. shredded that heel in the 2.
I see. It’s hard to beat the durability of the AP3, especially for a super shoe. It’s outstanding.
Adios Pro Evo 1 = Hardcore Competition Regulated Track Car (Ferrari 499P)
Adios Evo C = Hardcore Derestricted Consumer Track Car (Ferrari 499P Modificata)
Adios Pro 4 = Hardcore Road Legal Track Car (Aston Martin Valkyrie)
Prime X2 Strung = Hardcore non Competition Legal Road Car (like the Mercedes AMG One, because of the somewhat pure F1 engine cannot be the base of any legal sport, unless they change the engine)
Very good. 👏🏻
Excelent analysis, thanks!
Thank you 🙏🏻
AP3 - Great shoe for longer intervals/tempo work. I find it a little overbuilt for shorter, faster stuff, but that's not it's purpose... Obviously Takumi Sen for that stuff
💯🤙🏻
Great overview. I just hope they fix the heel slip issue some people have, Pro 3 and Prime X strung have the worst heel slip I ever had.
I’ve the same colorway! Still love my Pro 3s. Excited to see the Pro 4 ❤❤❤
It is a beautiful colorway… I hope Adidas does a non-dyed colorway for 2024 models too.
@@SagasuRunning love white running shoes 👟
@almostaverageroger 💯
@@SagasuRunning thanks! Much appreciated 🙏 keep doing what you do, love your vids!
Great video, I’m new to your content but has become one of my favorite channels in the past weeks!
I have a question I want to get Adios Pro 3 for my next race in sep, but I’m hesitant on size
I’m usually 9.5 us but with AP3 I feel it to big on the toe box and the sides, but the 9us I feel it to tight, any recommendations on this?
@@SagasuRunning Thank you so much this helps a lot! And also thanks for your content it’s amazing!
You make really great and informative videos. 💯
Thank you. Thank you. 🙏🏻
I want to get a pair of Adios Pro 3 but not sure the size I need. I have the Prime X Strung 1 in size 11 and love it, but I have the Takumi Sen 9 in size 11.5 and love it. Which of these do you feel has the similar length fit as Adios Pro 3?
I’d say start with an 11. The TS9 runs small and short to me.
Great stuff! The Adios Pro 3 is my favorite racer! Any idea when the Pro 4 or Evo C will launch? Possibly before Berlin?
I’d expect in the buildup to Berlin, like the Evo 1 did last year. The Olympics this summer are throwing launches off for everyone.
you would choose this over Prime X strung for marathon?
So you are looking for a shoe for LSD? Are you a heel striker?
@@SagasuRunning midfoot sir, for LSD and race day shoe..
@@SagasuRunning thank you.., for now, ill give the takumi sen 10 more miles on my feet first..
Adidas Adizero Adios Pro Evo 1 Revisited ruclips.net/video/93m7C4x8Z6s/видео.html
It’s clean PEBA has won, at least for this generation.
I’d expect it in time for Berlin. The Olympics are really messing up the releases this year.
@SagasuRunning that'll be ideal, will be keen to hear more about them as more information is available 😀
I’ll be covering long the Adizero 2024 line… in depth… so stay tuned!
@SagasuRunning looking forward to it mate 👍
What supershoe would you recommend for cambered road and extreme hills? (rio do rastro marathon)
@@SagasuRunning That makes sense from a marketing standpoint.
They’ve put the strung upper on their 4D model. Although it’s considered a running shoe, it’s a casual shoe when it comes down to it.
@danielamos672 there also has been a Supernova with a strung upper seen.
However… casual shoe to running shoe to racing shoe is a HUGE difference.
How many miles before you replace your AP3s?
I have a million shoes but the best matrix (data) is in the Adidas Pro 3.
@@SagasuRunning - thanks for the reply!
This progress is very interesting for the geek in me, but I cannot hold myself back from thinking that if you give to any current top marathon runner (both on the male and the female side) let say the og pro or pro 2 they will run pretty much the same times as with the evo or pro 3.
Agree. The top end Nike and Adidas super shoes have all been outstanding since 2020. Marginal gains at best.
How much mileage can be put on pro 3 like when should we retire this shoe ?
They are kind of tanks. I’ve seen people putting hundreds of miles… the outsole wears out before the midsole in most cases on the AP3.
When I had a pair it was good for racing for about 200 miles then became a workout shoe until about 400 miles when I moved on to a different shoe
I'd imagine the Evo C (if it is indeed "consumer") has a midsole that's formed in molds rather than machined like the Evo-1
I also have that non died colorway of the Pro-3, I am amazed by how easy it is to clean that shoe.
It seems the 2024 Adizero line has the uppers sorted, at least far beyond what Adidas had before. Even the TS10 upper is excellent!
Consistent informative reviews. New releases to be dropped in conjunction with Paris Olympics 🤔
Adidas> nike. Can we even disagree with that right know?
Vaporfly 2 and Streakfly any day (but I got te Adios 8 at least xD).
I swing back and forth ever few years. For 2024 I’m definitely in a heavy Adidas swing. Their 2024 lineup is outstanding.
But my heart will always be Peg/Vaporfly at some level…. But SL/Adios Pro is pretty close at this point.
