I have 2013 800s myself. Just bought it. 3,600 miles got it for a steal! A lot of miles are road miles from an Indiana owner. Needs new tires and I’m struggling pulling trigger on what to buy. Just subscribed to ya. Appreciate your videos. Take care man!
My sway bars are disconnected, rides super smooth but you will have body roll in turns, tires wise, hard to go wrong with a bighorn, but roads tear them up quick. I would look at the ITP sniper 920's. that is what I have on the front. they are excellent if you do any road riding, almost no road noise in fact, they are 8 ply, and a good offroad tread.....most importantly, affordable. I liked mine so much that I went thru National tire and wheel out of Wheeling WV and got all 4 for my YXZ for $660 delivered. bighorns were going to be about $1000, almost all others were that price. I have about 750 miles on them on the RZR, and probably 100 road of that. They still have some of the nipples on them. Their tread is not as deep, but last long. i put bighorns on the rear at the same time and they are about 1/2 tread.
sway bar disconnected, uni air filter, hd tablet mount, ITP sniper 8 ply front tires, bighorns in rear, pro armor doors, quad logic hd steering rack, super atv power steering
keep an eye on the a-arm mounts that i mention in the video, try to stay 2012 or newer. I was told the older ones had transmission issues. the front differential likes to break the spraque carrier, but it is an easy replace. only other issue i am aware of is the rear pinion nut coming loose. I have not had this issue, but have heard of it.
That would be something that would have to have the PCM flashed and the limiter changed. I am not sure who you would have to contact to do that, BUT....I would caution on doing this. The 800 is a pushrod motor, unlike most others on the market, which are overhead cam. If you go too high you take the risk of bending a pushrod to the valves. They have natural deflection just like a car, but in a car you upgrade these when you increase the horsepower. I have seen power increases done to them but I am not sure what the cost to reliability is. The 800s, for the most part, is pretty indestructible. I have not had a lack of power on any HMT trail I have been on. It is just a matter of knowing if you will have momentum, or do you need to run it up in low.
I would start with a uni filter, or KN, tuner, and a decent exhaust and go from there (which is what I have done). I am very happy with mine and sometimes regret the YXZ I purchased this spring. Its not that the YXZ is a bad machine...far from it. It is that I did not need it since the 800s is such a great machine.
I will get it out tonight and get you one posted. There are two ways that I use that works pretty good, and I even use it on my camper and my f350. Alignments are pretty easy to do
I have not done one, I haven't needed to. The trick with these belt operated machines is to run it like a rental. If you are easy on the throttle it is harder on the belts. I know that sounds funny, but if you ease in, it allows the belt to slip instead of grip. There is a tool, or I have seen videos of people using prybars to open up the secondary. Once you do this, it is just a quick change out.
@@hockeyplayer8372 depends on your driving style. as long as you are not "easing" into the throttle it is not hard on the belt. the only time i have personally needed low is slow rock crawling or steep hill climbs with no momentum going in, or maybe a mud hole. i use low if i am using it in the yard for stuff.
HMF Swamp series. barely louder than stock (2DB I believe). I do not think they are currently still in production, but found a nice used one cheap on facebook marketplace. Had a big gun and it was too loud, swapped it to stock, then found this one.
some do, but the 800's are pretty affordable. I do not have as much as many do in their units. after what Purchased it for and the maint/add ons....I am Probably around $7500, and have been running it now for 8 years this year. Yes you could buy a beater truck for less, but I can go a lot of places a beater truck can't.
thank you. I try to take care of it. I have a new surprise I will be posting shortly that I picked up last night. Currently it is at 4900 miles and change. I think the highest I have saw was a ranger with 8k miles without a rebuild. We don's really see crazy miles here in Hellinois
I sure do appreciate videos like this. A honest man giving us advice to help us out. You gained a new subscriber for sure!
thank you, just trying to help anyone looking to get one

Fantastic video. Im looking to get one of these. Anything to look for in particular regarding wear when buying used?

@@quadzilla819 thank you, great info! Appreciate ya
Try Flatout to seal out the tire. It works!!!
I will look into that, do you know where I can find it?
do you have any idea on how to remove the rev limiter on these 800s?

What is easy way to do a frontend alignment

Have you ever done a belt change or have a video on it

I was always told as soon as you go "off road" to put in low. Keeping rpms up saves the belt. 7k, and I'm still on the stock belt.

What kind of exhaust you running

Look like it cost more than a older clunker truck

Higher Mile's lol
4600 Miles @ 11 years old is incredibly low mile machine.
Nice machine !!.
