SourCynic people wear glasses because in their eyes, light doesn't focus on the light-sensitive tissue (retina) at the back of the eye properly being to far or too close. Split personality doesn’t move the eye tissue further or closer so their visual should be pretty much the same. Edited: A blind personality was not able to see because of a psychogenic reason. The personality forces to brain to think that they are blind so the ability to sense sight is turned off as a sign of retreat. One blind lady could see after switching personality until one day her blind personality can see too. The doctors came to conclusion that her blindness was psychogenic and the alternate personality turned her sight function back on. So afterwards the body maintain the visual ability for both personalities.

Kinda like that thing in split how one of the personalities could develop something like Diabetes by the other ones didn’t. Also, I think part of the potion, though it isn’t shown clearly here, is that it actually causes him to grow younger when turns into Hyde, so he may not have had eye problems so bad when he was younger

Pretty sure it is my dude. The potion Jekyll makes is a metaphor for him changing his outlook on life. Inside he has always wanted to murder, rape and pillage but he can't because he is held back by himself, therefore becoming "someone else" is his solution. "Becoming" Mr Hyde allows Jekyll to fulfil his wildest fantasies while keeping his former identity intact. Stevenson wrote J+H to show how he felt on the duality of man (having two metaphorical faces of which the public either sees or does not), and the "potion" was never meant to be literal except in recreations of the book that take a more fantastical look at it.

Gripping the ends of the table, bloodshot eyes, his hands and lips were shaking. She looked at him. At her fianceè. "Henry?" She whispered. "Lisa..... my love...." He put his head to the table, looking downwards. "What have I done...? I'm nothing more-" He clenched his fists that were still bloody, from that night. Lisa stood there like a stone. "Nothing less than-" As if an electric current would shoot through him, he hunched his back and let out a scream though clenched teeth. "Henry what's happening?!" He started to laugh. He no longer felt such terrible pain, no longer had to pretend. He was free and forever would remain Mr. Edward Hyde. He was no longer afraid. Growling sounds were heard throughout the lab. Loved the way you used the mirror for this animatic. It blurs the line between what Jekyll is hallucinating in the mirror and when Hyde is actually taking control. Kind of reminded of that scene from the 2002 Spider-Man with what happened between Norman Osborn and the Green Goblin. Overall, excellent job. This has risen to be one of my favourite animatics for the "Confrontation" song. Look forward to seeing more :-D

I personally prefer the original because it had the feeling of his consequences coming crashing down on him while Lost in The Darkness was used during his time with his father in the Insane Asylum, trying to find a cure.

Not only do I fully love this version the most, I love this animatic the most xD! It feels so much more personal when it's JUST them and a mirror. It's even better that it's the same body used to represent both instead of some other shadow chasing the good! Aka I love this, keep up the good work, I think it fits SUPER well with the song!
I really like this one. The redraw was cleaner and looked great, but I really like how this one plays up the mirror aspect, and how they're on different sides of it.

Just like the voice of Mr.Hyde, MrHyde is very dominant, the song also has that inmind, the voice just makes him sound even more impowering and thats what made this amazing, the animation made Jakyl gentle and Hyde Phycothic which is also amazing

I like how Hyde almost has little fangs in some scenes. It accentuates the danger of his character. Definitely a good look, intentional or not. Edit: just now noticing that whenever we see Hyde, he's in the mirror, as if he lives on the other side of human nature. And to think I was wondering why things were flipping.
I think this was a great animatic. Favorited. Of course I had in my mind where either Jekyll would break the mirror at the end with a punch, but as the glass falls, we catch a glimpse of a menacing grin on Hyde's face.

I love this number. Not only because it's done really well, but because I have an odd variation of MPD which created a violent alter who likes to compare himself to hyde. We speak often which is really funny because I know so many who are suffering similarly but can't speak to their alters. We have our little back and forths but my wife has him under control.
I love this song and this animation is fantastic. It's so well drawn and captures the emotions so well. Also as a person who draws, those hands are really good. Hands are annoyong to draw. Kudos
I like this musical and how you portrayed the character made me think that in the end the extimed, Timid, well mannered Dr. Henry Jekyll *never* invented the "potion" that let his dark side come out but instead He just gradually went mad while being driven by his research (that didn't get results at all because it was in reality just a fool/naive dream) he left everything behind (friends, fiancee, his career) to go deep into dark places and as He casually stumble on Lucy her sight/Temptation unconsciously just given him the final excuse to let Mr. Edward Hyde "out" (the sudden "success" of the experiment just an excuse to create an alias to who delegate all the infamous acts of sins he was teached were wrong but was always tempted to try). Finally after Lucy murder (punishing her for trying to get away) his conscience given in remembering how he was before and asking himself: "I'm still a good man?" refusing to realize the truth he already know: that "Hyde" was from the beginning a part of him, disgusted by what he see in the mirror and knowing for him there is no going back he end up killing himself. The morale of the story is: *How deep you desire to know how bad can you truly be?*
I do think that the potion did “work” but I also agree that Hyde isn’t a separate personality but just Jekyll in a “new” body that let’s out his Id and Jekyll is trying to convince himself that his horrible actions and evil side can be rid of denying what he said in the beginning.

Please please PLEASE don't be offended by this but this felt like what anime/manga style meets Tim Burton would look like and I LOVE IT! The art style had such an eerieness to it that I loved and fit so well for the song! Great job friend!

I don't know why, but some of my favorite music contains haunting melodies like this one. It's beautiful, really.
i think it's because we listen to so much happy and loud music our mind's crave some diversity and it feel's great when i find a new haunting or powerful piece :P
Not only do I fully love this version the most, I love this animatic the most xD! It feels so much more personal when it's JUST them and a mirror. It's even better that it's the same body used to represent both instead of some other shadow chasing the good! Aka I love this, keep up the good work, I think it fits SUPER well with the song!

I really like this one. The redraw was cleaner and looked great, but I really like how this one plays up the mirror aspect, and how they're on different sides of it.

Just like the voice of Mr.Hyde, MrHyde is very dominant, the song also has that inmind, the voice just makes him sound even more impowering and thats what made this amazing, the animation made Jakyl gentle and Hyde Phycothic which is also amazing
Watching this for practice and inspiration. My local theatre is doing a production of this musical and I have the pleasure of playing the title role.

I like how Hyde almost has little fangs in some scenes. It accentuates the danger of his character. Definitely a good look, intentional or not.
Edit: just now noticing that whenever we see Hyde, he's in the mirror, as if he lives on the other side of human nature. And to think I was wondering why things were flipping.
He's just ripping his glasses off and on with the song like some madman.

I think this was a great animatic. Favorited. Of course I had in my mind where either Jekyll would break the mirror at the end with a punch, but as the glass falls, we catch a glimpse of a menacing grin on Hyde's face.

I love this number.
Not only because it's done really well, but because I have an odd variation of MPD which created a violent alter who likes to compare himself to hyde.
We speak often which is really funny because I know so many who are suffering similarly but can't speak to their alters.
We have our little back and forths but my wife has him under control.
This has to be the best confrontation animatic I've seen, hands down. Excellent job!

I like this musical and how you portrayed the character made me think that in the end the extimed, Timid, well mannered Dr. Henry Jekyll *never* invented the "potion" that let his dark side come out but instead He just gradually went mad while being driven by his research (that didn't get results at all because it was in reality just a fool/naive dream) he left everything behind (friends, fiancee, his career) to go deep into dark places and as He casually stumble on Lucy her sight/Temptation unconsciously just given him the final excuse to let Mr. Edward Hyde "out" (the sudden "success" of the experiment just an excuse to create an alias to who delegate all the infamous acts of sins he was teached were wrong but was always tempted to try). Finally after Lucy murder (punishing her for trying to get away) his conscience given in remembering how he was before and asking himself: "I'm still a good man?" refusing to realize the truth he already know: that "Hyde" was from the beginning a part of him, disgusted by what he see in the mirror and knowing for him there is no going back he end up killing himself.
The morale of the story is: *How deep you desire to know how bad can you truly be?*
I do think that the potion did “work” but I also agree that Hyde isn’t a separate personality but just Jekyll in a “new” body that let’s out his Id and Jekyll is trying to convince himself that his horrible actions and evil side can be rid of denying what he said in the beginning.

I tried to find a wiki of him....instead I found a fanfic where hyde tells jekyll that the reader will never love him(Jekyll) and will prefer Hyde more then him which is ironic since they are the same person
