🇹🇼 Hey! Our Taipei guidebook just dropped on Amazon - every spot we hit, what we spent, and how we did it with 3 kids. Grab it here: mybook.to/adamandlinds-Taipei

The reason why you are the only family playing the slides is exactly the high temperature. Locals only do that in the late afternoon when it gets cooler. Here we arrange our activities pretty much to the weather.

Love your videos. You guys are awesome as parents. I’m a Taiwanese living in Sydney for years, watching your videos helps with my homesickness for sure, the food!! I can see you are struggling with the heat, the locals don’t really go out during midday at all lol You’ll get heatstroke and dehydrated not joking. Taiwanese summer is extremely humid and hot. If you ever like to visit Taiwan again, come over during autumn winter months. You’ll feel so much better. Thanks for the amazing video Adam and Linds!

I think the food Adam is referring to are called the Pepper Buns(胡椒餅)which is different from what you had, which are called Steam-Fried Buns (水煎包)

Summers in Taiwan are very hot.
Taiwan only has summer and winter, and due to the humidity, the temperature feels even higher.
Please drink plenty of water and try to avoid being outdoors between 10 AM and 3 PM to prevent heatstroke.
You can take breaks in malls, department stores, or train stations.

Depends on what you want to get out of Taiwan, different seasons offer a vastly different experience. Spring and fall are more pleasant temperature wise but not as many fruits are in season. Summer offers the most variety of fruits but it’s obviously that it will be hot and moist.

We don't eat the fry bread directly, it usually dip in soy milk or salty soy milk.

Xiaoyoukeng in Yangmingshan National Park is a large volcanic steam vent area with hiking trails. It won't be too hot there.
