I have a beautifully straight Blackthorn stick from you. it's approx 3/4 inch thick! I'm sure it would have been a real pain to straighten without one of these, if it was even possible, due to the thickness! Take care Graham

You can always pay more - but the press is only a small part of the process. The idea was to show you how to do it - not sell stick presses!

Does this work for harder and denser wood such as YEW and Elder
I’ve used it on yew and elder - but I’d argue that they are not denser than hazel or blackthorn 🤔.
