    I don't know if I heard well but, you said you've broken both femurs? How's the healing process of a broken bone for a quadriplegic and how did it happen? Was it painful? Do you think one reason for spasms to happen can be that the ligaments and tendons are all stiff due to your body being in just one position at all times and when stretched they respond in that way?

    • @TheQuadLife
      @TheQuadLife  3 года назад +2

      You heard correctly. Healing is the same as anyone else, but I had to fight to get doctors to place a metal rod to correct the bones. Fortunately, I never felt anything as the breaks were below my injury level. This is a good explanation on spasms: www.flintrehab.com/muscle-spasms-after-spinal-cord-injury/

      @@TheQuadLife It makes me feel sad to hear that they didn't want to "bother" fixing the broken bones only because you don't walk... Sorry but that was mean from them 😔 it's their job to help people heal independently of the patient's condition...

      @@chillywillye3990 Even in the medical community, quads are often seen as worth little to society or just cranky people to not be around. I speak at schools and started this channel in an attempt to change that.

    • @TheQuadLife

      Thank you for the comment. Yes, God, the creator of the universe, is very real. Just as you can't have a building without a builder, or art without an artist, creation can't exist without a creator. He is the One we will all answer to at our death, and if we have repented of sins and trusted in Jesus alone. I've been given a unique life and a body that is very much alive that allows me to serve God in a fallen world.
