You could tell this storyteller was a person not a program. Syntax, proper emotional inflection and enunciation done very well. It draws the listener in.

Pretty hood, but I have one point to bring up:
Not in just this story, but it's in lots of these tales.
Stop referring to "the roar of battle", "the sound of the weapons", etc., etc..
    Folks...
    It's OUTER SPACE.
    You can't HEAR anything.
Sound doesn't travel in a vacuum.

But when the medium is science fiction, anything goes :D

I have a question. In space with no air to slow down an object (as there are no drag ti think about). Would it not be equal in how a vessel fair no matter the size?

mass is still a thing, the ship, even tho it's technically weightless in space, the engines still have move the entire mass.

    • @Maistro69
      @Maistro69 28 дней назад +2

Weight and mass are two different things in physics. Weight is measurement of gravitational forces (or other forces) against mass. Mass is atomic density. In space there would be no gravity pulling on the mass but that doesn’t mean mass doesn’t exist. This is why it takes more energy to move a planet than an asteroid. Air is just mass that the mass of your object needs to push aside (resistance). This is why in a vacuum a feather and a brick will fall at the same rate assuming same gravitational pull. But the energy it takes to lift the feather is less than it takes to lift the brick.

I would say no as a bigger ship would be able to take more damage and have more turrets/missiles to apply to a smaller ship. I would even assume a bigger ship with bigger guns would have more range not 100 on how ramgenwould work in space with little gravity to bring down your rounds but i would think it still applies

The advancement of field tech would help in the development of inertial dampers that would protect the vessel and personnel in sudden acceleration. Deceleration and change of direction. This would allow radical movement regardless of mass.

I like the concept of using communication ships. Not something you see too often in space combat stuff. But is a clear analog to the signaling ships used in naval warfare in the past. E.g. imagine an age of sail line of battle. Now imagine a string of smaller ships behind that line. Imagine how many of the ships of the line could see just one little ship that is a little ways off protected from the battle as compared to how many of the other ships of the line any of them could see. The signal would come from the admiral to the nearest signaling ship and it would propagate out to the fleet.

Really? The battle spread across the expanse of the battlefield? Aerial duels in space? Eastern and Western flanks in space? LOSING ALTITUDE?
There are more examples but not much point. The writing needs a bit of work.

    • @wolffforge4839

The same reason the US put drop tanks on the Raptor in war games. So the enemy doesn't KNOW what we are capable of and can't plan to build to overcome it. We project power and strength but dont put everything on the table. Always keep something hidden as an ace.
