This story was pretty decent, however, instead of constantly calling them hostile beings, especially as over time they weren't, maybe you should've changed it to something like the indigenous peoples/planet residents/etc

Humans have had to be suspicious and sometimes violent. In our world, the deadliest predator, the smallest microbe, and even the environment itself are all out to kill us. We need resources to survive, and those resources are scarce. Thus, we sometimes kill each other over them. Is it any wonder some of us become dangerous predators ourselves?

This story made no sense. It's like a space battle mixed with a land war.

How did other unknown settlements get electricity and communications equipment? Did other Jacks crash land in their areas? Nice story but totally unrealistic.

How did the neighbors get a receiver if his group didn't provide it? And if they did, they should know them and the way to visit them. Sloppy writing.

What happened to the ship Vigilante?

The humans had been extinct for a millennia, beaten by the Rithar. Okay, does the author know how long a millennia is? The humans has better tech than the aliens, yet got beaten. It would stand to reason that the Rithar would have better tech than the humans, also taking what tech the humans had and utilizing what they needed. After a millennia, the Rithar would have even greater tech. Too many inconsistencies, flawed details in this story. Yep, stopping the pain at ten minutes in as it will only get worse.

given alien interjection into a society ...given the alien has a greater knowledge i see this as feasible but you never really cover how those distant villages could hear you so im guessing you landed on the least educated tribe very good i like this story
