I'd go with the Roush in this case. It has a better tone and is almost as loud as the deletes.

to be honest they both sounded great in my personal opinion but it depends on what the customer wants as in sound loudness etc. but dude is right mustangs never disappoint
The Roush axle back sounds better, a proper exhaust system always sounds better than just straight piping it IMO
Unless you have long tube headers into straight pipes and no cats
Heard these with straight pipes/headers at cars and coffees and with mufflers and I'd take mufflers any day. Especially Borla Ataks catless with long tubes. The only thing straight pipes have is volume.

Gotta hear the deletes in person. I had them on my 2013 GT and got compliments almost every day, even from Sheriffs I’m my town. Everyone thought I had Borlas or Corsas but I’m reality I just had a $150 muffler delete
@@deankevin96 I got a 13’ too with Roush axle backs, X pipe, cat delete, resonator delete and want more loud haha. Should I remove the Roush mufflers?
“X pipe that he had done somewhere else” = my welds look way cleaner 😂
I would go with the axle backs. The muffler delete does give you more crackles if you like that sound.
Just a word of advice people, don't pay for a muffler delete kit like SR, Pype Bombs, or MBRP Race. Just have the shop chop them.
A long time friends dad has a built roush 5.0. Blown and tuned. Sexiest car I’ve ever been in.
straight pipe sounds like thunder sheesh but the roush has an amazing tone that im used to hearing from 5.0's with mods
Roush axlebacks are surprisingly louder. I have a x pipe and no mufflers. My buddy has a x pipe with roush axlebacks. His is somehow louder and we both have cats. Both sound good though

It's a draw in my opinion because both of them sounded really great no matter what exhaust setup they put on to these badass V8 mustang's to be honest

Biggest difference would be inside the car. Muffler deletes drone like crazy.
You are not wrong. Going straight pipe is absolutely unbearable on the highway. If you cruise around the city it’s not noticeable really

I have straight pipe on my 18 and it definitely takes some getting used to.
I wanted to add the roush axlebacks,but according to the meter they're both super loud inside the cabin.
I guess I'll need to find a decent resonator.
@charleshenson4183 the roush is loud in the inside but it's not boomy and it doesn't an awful resonance.

They both are nice but why dont mustang 5.0 owners ever try true duals? like no crossover, theirs always an x or h pipe, im curious to why not go full true duals on these 5.0s, has anyone tried and how is the sound? im planning on doing that when i get a 5.0
Prob cause you lose performance going true dual no x no h, it is louder going pure true dual
It is definitely a true dual exhaust minus the bs your talking about.
Very drony and annoying loud, almost no one ever goes with true duals, pretty rare

Tune isn’t mandatory but it would be a great recommendation, it would add 3-15 hp depending on your setup

@@moulikfalujahI wouldn't recommend spending money on a tune just for the exhaust lmao, it's a waste of money for the little hp you won't even notice, you'll get a good amount of power difference in a tune for cai or long tubes

I have a 20 F150 5.0 with a Borla S-Type. Every time I see these videos I think "should I take the muffler off and keep the resonator?"

I got the atak.... mufflers made it sound like a camaro.... took them off now it sounds like like the red mustang. minus x pipe... and i got a 5.3. but the nastiness is the same. But if you got the s type I assume you didn't want it that muscular. just toned
Flowmaster original 40 series works wonders for trucks
I've had H pipe, new mufflers, then back to resonator etc. My final and best sound for me is simple, keep the resonator and delete the mufflers. Very little drone, I've head axle backs worse. It's deep and s type loud.
I've had the borla atak on a 13th,13th and now 14th f150 5.0 and it ain't shit compared to my straight piped 21 mustang gt.

One tip goes straight out while the other one doesn't,so that tip sees most of the action and gets the dirtiest.

I get 19.6 mpg with my GT. Really not that bad. I got 25 with my camry.
Straight pipes sounds like crap. Can't imagine the resonance and noise they must be experiencing in the cabin. Gotta be a kid who owns that car.
I'm 54yo and love my straight piped 21 gt,well everything except for the drone at certain rpms.

Straight is way too raspy on the drive-off. Idle and revs sounds good, but on the road, not.

The straight pipe system on mine sounds glorious outside at any and ever moment.
The only con,is the cabin drone.
