Love the shorthand book! My sister is a pro at it and just retired on Friday. I feel a search for a book on it so I can make her a happy retirement journal. Hmmm..... With the catalog and letterhead, you have a wild west themed journal in the makings. Love the Norman Rockwell calendars! I have a huge book of his illustrations and been trying to make myself tear it apart for a journal. It's SO hard to do sometimes! Great job juggling the camera and filming! What fun! TFS!
I’m sitting here laughing because you named me for the enabler of the calendars but if I’m not mistaken I think it was Amelia. LOL I know I suggested picking up something but I would have to go back and rewatch. LOL I’m so disappointed that I didn’t get in on those little Riverside books they were amazing and I would of definitely would of loved to have one for myself. Those recipe cards are so wonderful, I still haven’t run into any out here but as I recall I think my grandma joined the club for both the recipe and garden cards. You definitely brought home lots of treasures can’t wait to follow you on more outings..Giant hugs, Candi
Gayle I just loved these videos it was fun to see you shop and all your treasures, keep the videos coming . You got some cool stuff for sure. Thanks again Michele
Great haul! You should make copies of the western stationery paper. Those are fun. Love the invoice one. I wonder how they would look if you copied it onto the papers you bought, especially the thin yellow one. Thanks for taking us shopping and sharing what you purchased. That was fun.
It is always fun to see what other people find at estate sales. It may be too late, but look at your spool of ribbon. Sometimes the older spools have great I packaging so to think. Also, I would love to be back up on the men’s catalog.
Thanks, Brenda! The hunters catalog has been sent to its new owner. I wished I'd had several more! There were so many that wanted it! Thanks for watching! ❤️
I again had a lot if fun to go shopping with you and it's great to see all the treasures you got all together. Have fun sorting and using these great things ❤ Nicole
Nice haul! I've always been a Norman Rockwell fan! Let me know when you get around to listing those recipe cards! Have fun with your goodies. Can't wait to see your happy mails! Hugs
Fernanda, what an incredibly nice comment! Thank you so very much! You made my day! Thank you for watching and especially thank you for taking time to leave such an affirming comment! ❤️
Hi Gayle, would you be interested in selling that night before Christmas book? Nearly 20 years ago I couldn’t find our copy to read on Christmas Eve so that started the tradition of buying a new one every year. My children take turns reading on Christmas Eve and this would be a wonderful addition to our collection.
Jwgw2000 I'm so sorry! I've already got a custom order journal request to make from the book. I'm glad you asked, but sorry it's already been spoken for! ❤️❤️
Hi Gayle, love all your great finds, especially the paper and children books. I had a giggle in your second shop with me video, where you said a few times "I'm filming , I'm not talking to myself". TFS hugs xx
Wowow!! You definitely have enough paper. I love what you found! And I actually really dig that man's magazine if you don't end up using it, I would love to know. Have a great day, Gayle!
Thanks Juliana! I ended up promising the hunting book to one of my subbies for her son. He has Aspergers and their story pulled my heart strings! Sorry, sweet friend! Thanks so much for watching! ❤️
What great finds!! I love to just spritz paper with water and then they get really crunchy but I am sure you. Know that. I love all those papers but of course the ones with the old west pictures and those that look like a bill are very cool!!! I wish I could remember my shorthand!! That was a great shorthand book!! All the books are great I love that “guy” catalog that is very cool!!! I love the calendars got back and get the rest!! I’ll buy them from you!!
Hi Gayle 🖐🏻👋🏻🖐🏻👋🏻omg I took all business courses back in the early 80’s I’m a shorthand girl too!! Still love it and never will forget it time consuming 6 years lol!!! I love everything you found!!! Onion paper love it!!!! Omg you had fun!!! ~hugs TFS💕😊🐚gracie
So I'm totally thinking in shorthand as I respond to you, Gracie! Wish the keyboard could do it! Well, we are kind of dinosaurs, my friend! But at least we are in it together!! ❤️
Great finds Gayle. Estate sales are so much fun. It's like going on an adventure to find treasures. Thank you for sharing. I loved your shopping videos. You will definitely stay busy.
Wow, you got great stuff!!! I, also still use my shorthand! Many are so amazed when they see it. I guess they quit teaching it long ago. Geez, now I'm feeling quite old. Wonder if there is a shorthand font. LOL. ...Irene
Great purchases, you’ll have fun with those! Loved watching your estate sale videos too. Thank you for sharing! Love your channel! Have a great weekend!
My grandma used to have some of those little scissors. They fold up so u can keep them in your purse and not cut or poke anything. They are super! Lol. Glad you found some goodies.
All the little prom booklets sold. The Montana stationery is still available in the shop. I have lots of that!! Those were the only two things I listed. Thanks for your interest and for watching! ❤️
That's awesome! I need to figure out how to get notifications so I don't miss out next time. Thank you for following up- great haul- thanks for sharing!
Great finds. I took shorthand in high school. I learned to read it, but could never write it fast enough. That class was my worst grade ever. I was much better in typing class.
I loved that you got the gregg shorthand book. I took that in high school and when I was in college they taught us speed writing. I ended up doing my own thing which was a little bit of both.lol I loved that you took us all shopping with you. 1st estate sale I've ever been to😁
Hi Charlene! I do have a video somewhere in my channel of one of the BHG Garden books that I've done before. I'll actually be doing one coming up. I have a custom order that is next in line after the journal I'm working on now. So stay tuned!! ❤️
Michele Suggitt you can make little notepads out of them. Or put coffee dyed paper on the back to make a journal card. Sew some fabric ruffles on...or paper ruffles. Collage on the front. Those are the ideas off the top of my head. Hope that helps! ❤️
Oh you're so fun, Jeannie! I love dragonflies too! I've already used them in a journal, so won't sell these. But it never hurts to ask, right? Keep watching...you never know when I'll come across more and want to sell them!! Thanks for watching, my dear! ❤️
Hi Mary! I just scrub the covers with a baby wipe. If there is any sticky goo from price tags or whatever is use Goo Gone. And I don't mind a little discoloration since they are vintage. I just want to remove dirt and dust accumulation. Thanks for watching, my dear! ❤️
Hi Patricia! My local antique mall gals told me about these two. They are also listed in our newspaper. Sometimes they are on Craig's List too! Hope that helps! ❤️
I never thought of coffee dying the file folders.....know what I'm doing tomorrow :-) I love the bulb book, I didn't find any botanical or nature books today:-( Looking forward to the next one
Kerry Goergen Monday is my day for coffee dying. I'm going to play with the various papers and for sure those file folders! They are great backing for journaling cards! Hugs!
Hi Ms.Gayle, Great fines. I think that western paper looks like maybe Wells Fargo Bank paper. I'm not sure. I saw a display once at a fair of Wells Fargo. Anyway that seam bias you can sip at the ends and make tie ribbons for your journals. Just a thought. I hope your enjoying your Saturday Ms.Gayle with all your new finds and Happy Nail. ~Liz~
My exhusband's grandmother taught me to tat almost 30 years ago. I still do it sometimes just to keep up the lost art. I still have all of her metal tatting shuttles also. I'd never make a doily to sell for $2 though lol
Gayle, that zipper might be cool as a trim if you take it apart, you know with the teeth along the edge of the paper...or used as flowers. I like that the little scissors have a place to put it on a ribbon or chain, I'm always leaving my scissors everywhere. Thanks for showing us the stuff in more detail.
HI Gayle, that was fun going to the sales with you. Lovely paper!!! I love paper!! Anyway be careful when you coffee dye that onion paper. It sticks to my waxed butcher paper. After tearing up several sheets, I ended up putting a small piece of paper on a corner, so that when it was dry, I could pull that out and get my thin metal crafting knife under and go around the edges slowly to get the paper up. And I still had problems. I would like to know how yours comes out. My onion paper is yellow already, and I wanted it more brown. I think the distress ink is a better way to go with onion paper. Let me know how yours turns out.
Durinda, message me on my Etsy. I'll sell it to you. I'm just not sure how I'd use it, but knew it was a treasure and couldn't leave it behind! My Etsy link is in the description box. Thank, friend! ❤️
what a wonderful haul..that metal zipper for heavy jacket is hard to find..I really enjoy going along with you on your shopping hauls.I do not get out much,,(,sad)!
That little Night Before Christmas book is just fantastic!
Wonderful finds!

Oh MY! I remember using that blue and yellow paper at work. We'd put carbon paper in between. Too cool!

Gayle that’s so awesome all that stuff!!!!!! Lots of potential eh? xx Mags
Most of all you’re extremely polite and concerned with others around... do you have idea how rare this king o behavior is? Adorable.
Fernanda, what an incredibly nice comment! Thank you so very much! You made my day! Thank you for watching and especially thank you for taking time to leave such an affirming comment! ❤️
Gayle Agostinelli ❣️🤗

My grandma used to have some of those little scissors. They fold up so u can keep them in your purse and not cut or poke anything. They are super! Lol. Glad you found some goodies.

All the little prom booklets sold. The Montana stationery is still available in the shop. I have lots of that!! Those were the only two things I listed. Thanks for your interest and for watching! ❤️
I was interested in the Riverside Literature Series- are those gone?
Sorry Regina, typo on the last message. The Riverside Series sold immediately after I'd posted them! I'm so sorry you missed them!
That's awesome! I need to figure out how to get notifications so I don't miss out next time. Thank you for following up- great haul- thanks for sharing!
Great finds!! Love the gun pages and would be so fun for a journal! I love seeing what all of us find at all these sales!
Great finds. I took shorthand in high school. I learned to read it, but could never write it fast enough. That class was my worst grade ever. I was much better in typing class.
Fabulous finds
You really got some great stuff. I would love to come to your house and play in your craftroom!
Orange You Glad You're welcome anytime, my dear!! ❤️

Awesome is all I can say! Gotta love those papers and file folders! Thanks for the up close view of your findings!

Would you do a tutorial when you do the Better Homes and Garden book? Love the haul. Thanks for taking us shopping with you.
Hi Charlene! I do have a video somewhere in my channel of one of the BHG Garden books that I've done before. I'll actually be doing one coming up. I have a custom order that is next in line after the journal I'm working on now. So stay tuned!! ❤️
Hi Gayle, I'm wondering what you do with the recipe cards? I have a bunch of them as well but am so uncertain as to how to use them. Thanks!
Michele Suggitt you can make little notepads out of them. Or put coffee dyed paper on the back to make a journal card. Sew some fabric ruffles on...or paper ruffles. Collage on the front. Those are the ideas off the top of my head. Hope that helps! ❤️
Thanks Gayle! I was stumped but am now inspired!
What is the name of your Etsy store?.....thanks

Some excellent goodies you found there Gayle! Calendar s are fabulous! . I absolutely love dragon fly's would you sell them?

Such a fun video! How do you clean the soiled covers such as that of the BC cookbook?
Hi Mary! I just scrub the covers with a baby wipe. If there is any sticky goo from price tags or whatever is use Goo Gone. And I don't mind a little discoloration since they are vintage. I just want to remove dirt and dust accumulation. Thanks for watching, my dear! ❤️
You did good Gayle
Fun treasures!

Where or how do you find out where your local estate sales are located?
Hi Patricia! My local antique mall gals told me about these two. They are also listed in our newspaper. Sometimes they are on Craig's List too! Hope that helps! ❤️
It does, thank you.
You can go to estatesales.net and put in your zip code. That is what I do!
I never thought of coffee dying the file folders.....know what I'm doing tomorrow :-) I love the bulb book, I didn't find any botanical or nature books today:-( Looking forward to the next one

That little orange doily was a treasure for sure, Bonnie!! ❤️
Yay!
Wonderful! TFS
Gayle, that zipper might be cool as a trim if you take it apart, you know with the teeth along the edge of the paper...or used as flowers. I like that the little scissors have a place to put it on a ribbon or chain, I'm always leaving my scissors everywhere.
