This video demonstrates various injection techniques for maxillary anesthesia including infraorbital nerve block, posterior superior alveolar nerve block, anterior superior alveolar nerve block, greater palatine nerve block, nasopalatine nerve block and maxillary (second division) nerve block with high tuberosity approach and pterygopalatine approach.
Dr. Gregory D. Winter completed his D.D.S. from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He received an additional training at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and York Hospital where he completed his general practice residency. Dr. Winter received a faculty appointment at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery as a clinical instructor. In addition, he maintains a private practice focused on general dentistry in Baltimore, MD.
Ms. Marion C. Manski, RDH, MS is the Associate Professor, Senior Coordinator at the University of Bridgeport; Fones School of Dental Hygiene. She earned her Master of Science degree from the University of Maryland. In addition to her faculty appointment at the University of Bridgeport, she serves as an associate professor, adjunct faculty at the University of Maryland where she conducts the local anesthesia courses for students and licensed dental hygienists.
