  • Katie Oskin of www.katersacres.com visited B'sue Boutiques today www.bsueboutiques.com to share the rudiments of making these lovely caned petal flowers you will enjoy learning to make. B'sue steps back and lets Katie take the lead as she's a great polymer clay teacher and was so kind to come and see us here in East Palestine to make the video to share with you. All you need is a pasta machine, an acrylic roller, a tissue blade and....POLYMER CLAY! and of course, a toaster oven to bake the finished flowers. THEN the fun really starts as you can use chain, findings, beautiful bead caps and brass stampings from www.bsueboutiques.com to complete your project and turn those beautiful flower components into jewelry you will enjoy wearing for years. Thanks to Katie and well as a nod to Christi Friesen for all she has taught both of us. Why don't YOU come and join us at BOHEMIAN VIBE, a group of polymer clay artists working with a focus on developing new design styles based on vintage looks using polymer clay, brass stampings, found items and fiber! / bohemianvibe #BSue_Boutiques

I really like the petal canes! As usual - it's not complicated, but the result...! Really feathery. Thank you for sharing and love from Bavaria!

Beautiful. I love how you make it your "own" way. That is most impressive, not saying it has to be done this way. making it your own is, to me, what makes a piece beautiful.

Love the video! I enjoy listening & learning. My girls & I got a bunch of polymer clay & I've always thought canes were pretty awesome! But the micro canes are very do-able :) thanks again ladies! Great job xoxo

So, I just had a question, which probably has a really easy answer. Couldn't you make the bullseye cane longer, slice it in half lengthwise, and then slice both of those once down the middle? Then you already have the shape that you had to create by flattening the pink part.

Hello! I LOVE your tutorial. A couple of questions -- what is the brand name of the stylus set that you use and would I have permission to teach your cane technique to a class I have at my studio?

Beautiful! Was the skinner bullseye made with two colors only in the skinner, then wrapped in purple? Thank you!

That's what it looks like, but it could have been made with three, then wrapped. Don't know.

I love this tutorial but.... I tried it and at the end the last part where the white snake goes in, mine ended up completely in the middle and I noticed where I had cut and connected in the layering split. What happened? Any ideas? Thank you!

This doesn’t really look like a skinner blend but a multiple color bullseye sort of cane.
