Great video. Thanks for sharing! I wonder if I could do something like this with a 3D printer. I just got one last week and have not yet learned how to use 3D design software so I'm enjoying everyone else's amazing designs at the moment. I imagine if I get familiar with the software, I could replicate this. Then I could share your amazing design with the 3D print community also, with your permission of course.
If the printer is big enough, you could possibly print all parts. You don't need my permission to do it, I always share my stuff so people can use it. Let me know your progress if you decide to do it, I will re-share it

Great job! I'm pretty sure you used 1/4 inch ply and not 1/8 inch.
