  • Wow what a week. This video was supposed to be another jolly happy progress update of Bonnie my darling rescue pony.
However, I thought it was important to include a scary ordeal that happened this week when I was enjoying one of my normal hacks.
My horse Laragh slipped on the road and fell onto her knees, skidding for about a metre before she managed to pick herself up. She consequently has two fat knees and a nasty wound on each one 😢 Here’s a look at me treating it, my fingers are crossed for it to heal up super quick 🤞🏻
Bonnie on the other hand has come on leaps and bounds!! She had her first visit from the farrier, which went exceptionally well considering a few weeks ago we couldn’t get a headcollar on! 😍
Please leave a comment, like & subscribe if you’re enjoying my videos 💙

    Hi Lucy,
Bonnie is a very beautiful pony, It’s hard to believe that she was a rescue she looks like a young show pony. Maybe when you have got a few more years on her and some more height for sure she will make an extremely proficient
show jumping pony. She really does have a lovely head and neck and is put together very well. Jane 😎👍🐴🐎🧑🏻‍🦰

    Hi Lucy,
Great job with helping Bonnie pick up her tiny feet, she really is a sweet little pony and so very pretty. I know that she is a baby now, but I am looking forward a few years down the line to seeing her get backed, I bet she will be able to jump beautifully. Jane from America. 👍😎🐴🐎🧑🏻‍🦰

Bonnie is so cute! Makes me want to adopt/find a little young pony to train! I think I’m going to try that in about a year, if I can afford it lol!

Oof poor Laragh; major empathy vibes there. I did something similar to myself while on foot, though instead of a regular scrape, I went down so hard and fast I gave myself really bad road rash and was on crutches for 3 weeks.
Bonnie is so cute and sweet; I love her little dapples coming out. I can’t help it, I will always love greys❤️

poor Lara! the same thing happened to my mums friends horse. in the end it had to be put down because it had taken of all the skin and and nothing would heal as it was so bad. because of that it got an infection.
i hope she heals fine and will be happy and healthy soon.
    Good Luck Lara! :)

Oh Luce sorry to hear about Laragh some times these thing happen, but remember the old saying about swelling 3 days up 3 days down, its amazing what a week can fix, I am sure she will be fine and the cold hosing will help loads, stay safe and chin up, Bonnie is doing super what a difference a few weeks can make she much more sure around you and the trust is developing nicely.

You asked Bonnie to leave the stall but it looked like you left the bowl of grain in there that's a draw. She wanted the food more then to listen to you i think but you could have used that natural draw to the grain in your favor or at least totally taken it away. Seems like she gets away with being naughty because shes cute.
